Thinking of You!

It's Wednesday and the day our New Challenge at
Darlene has chosen the 'Theme'
Flowers as the Focus.

I chose to do something I have wanted to try for ages -
Use Lindy's Moon Shadow and Starburst Mists
onto black paper.
I heat embossed the Full of Glee stamp by Penny Black.
The colours are a little darker than I wanted but still
really happy with the result - so shimmery!
The background was also sprayed with Lindy's.
Die cut  my flower from MFT and matted with gold paper.
Sentiment die using the same paper from Crafts4U.
Finished by attaching to black card base.
I'm sure we are going to have so many
beautiful floral cards in our Gallery this month.
Be sure to check out what my Sistah's made
before you head off to make yours.

I always enjoy playing around with a few stencils

Facets which got lost behind the
Flowers 1 stenciled with
Tim's Distress Grit Paste giving it a
nice rough surface.
Before I did the flowers
I stamped and heat embossed
in Crackling Campfire and Lindy's Pumpkin Fiesta.

Celebrate with Ice Cream

Time for our New Challenge at
Aussie aNNie has chosen the Theme -
Spots and Stripes.

My first thought was the half circle scoop
of ice cream in a cone and knew which
stamp/die set would be perfect.
It's from STAMPlorations Sweet Cravings.
I used scrap pieces of paper and heat embossed
my sweet treats then die cut them.
Card base is white and cut a small piece
off the side to add my striped backing.
The front has been cut to size with
CUTplorations Circle All Over Cover Plate.
The sweet treats have been covered with
Nuvo Drops, Glitter, Diamond Dust,
Chunky Embossing Enamel and popped.
Added a strip for the sentiment and a small
striped strip underneath.
Finished off with lots of colourful inked circles.
Pop over and see how my 'Sistah's' chose
to add spots and stripes to their makes.
Come add yours to the Gallery.
Love to see you there.
Thanks for coming by today.

Oh! Happy Day

Welcome to today's post for Just Us Girls
It's my turn to Host this weeks Trend Challenge
and want to see 'Layers'

I rummaged through my Bits Box (as you do)
and found this lovely background piece
for the die cuts I used here.
Some are from SU Tip Top Taupe,
as is the card base and sentiment strip,
the others are from my bits box which
luckily blended in perfectly.
Added some shimmer to the TTT dies
leaving the others as is.
Sentiment is from STAMPlorations Bloom Sketches.
I even found an old earring that matched
to finish off my layered card.

We have our Guest Jacinda sharing with us
her talents this month. Check out how Jacinda
and the Talented Team  layered this week Here
and hope you are inspired to add yours.
You could be chosen as Chic of the Week
and join us as our Guest in July.
Thank you for popping in. Love reading your thoughts!

Stencil Time at STAMPlorations

Time just seems to be flying by and already close to
half the year has disappeared.
As it is a new month it is the start of our challenges over at
Our Stencil Challenge is now live and you can see
what we created Here

I had a LOT of leftover Lindy's Magical's
on my glass mat so that was the start of  my project.
I then added colours with Tim's Oxide Inks in
Spiced Marmalade and Crackling Campfire.
Added my stenciling using
Dreamweaver Crackle Paste to
With more of the leftover ink  I
die cut the stamped feathers from
and popped them.
Stamped the sentiment from that set,
tore the edges and attached to my card.
Finished by adhering to navy card base.

Here are the products I used.

Don't forget to pop over and see
what my Team Mates created,
be inspired and add yours to The Gallery.

Thanks for dropping in.
I will be back later in the month for a Reminder!
I appreciate your kind comments.

Season's Greetings

Here we are at the end of April when saw the
latest challenge over at
that gave me the jolt I needed to get started on
making my Christmas Cards.
It's Anything Goes as long as it is Christmas.
The details are Here
I got caught out last year when I had my knee surgeries
and didn't want that to happen again.
I did say to myself that I would keep
part of the month dedicated to building my stash.
So here I go with my first Christmas card for the year.

I love the soft bluish tones for Christmas and my background
here is from my bits box using Lindy's Magical's then I did
some stenciling from TCW
with Tim's Salty Ocean Oxide Ink.
My deer head is a die from ARTplorations
(a favourite of mine)
smothered in Stampendous Copper Embossing Enamel,
Ranger Copper and Colour Blast Deep Water
Embossing Powders.
Adding more texture with Ranger Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint
and adding more Copper Enamel.
I think he looks rather 'rugged'.
Inked  a couple of circles and the STAMPlorations Sentiment
in Ground Espresso Oxide
heat embossing with the Ranger Copper
Die cut my frame adding my deer with metallic paper behind it
then attaching to metallic card base.

Thanks for dropping in today.
Really love reading your encouraging comments.

Just 'Floating' Sky High

Time for my first post for Just Us Girls
May Challenges where we start off with our Word.
We have a new Guest Designer too - Jacinda.
Welcome! Lovely to have you join us.

Sue is Hosting and chose 'FLOAT'
There are so many way to to go with this and
I chose to 'float' away in a hot air balloon.

This was an easy card, cheating here as my background is simply
grungy designer paper from Paper Rose.
I had several on my bench and knew
this would work nicely for what I had in mind.
My hot air balloons and sentiment were inked and
heat embossed clear.
The sentiment is from Visible Image Somewhere in Time
thanks to my generous friend Mac.
Added lots of clouds from Repeat Impressions,
matted on to white then adhered to white base.
Love it when a card comes together nicely and so quickly.

Pop over and see what our May Guest Jacinda
and the Team chose to inspire you with our Word.
I know we will see a variety of ways to 'Float'
Hope to see yours in our Gallery.
You could be our Chic of the Week
and in the running for a Guest Spot in July.
Thanks for dropping in.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

For our New Challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters
we want to see what grows in your garden.
I have made a colourful creation that I wish
my garden looked something like it.
Unfortunately it doesn't as we have had
drought in my area for quite some time and
it's coming into Winter.

No explanation needed here for this one just
Lots of crafty items I used -
Whiff of Joy Picket Fence
Background flowers STAMPlorations Beautiful You
ARTplorations Sky/Sun Stencil
Thinlits Leaves - 664377, MB Woodland Branch
Flower Punches, TH Oxide Inks/Distress Glitter
Repeat Impressions Grass, Kaisercraft Bird
Gel Pen for centre of flowers
Art Alchemy Wax, Flower Soft
Coloured card base.
Pop over and see what my
Talented Sistahs created and
add 'what's in your garden'
to our Gallery. See you there!

UPDATE! Popping my garden over to
I don't have roses blooming here.
Thanks for dropping in

Photo Week at Just Us Girls

Todays post is for our Photo Week at
Hosting this week is Bobby.

What do you see here?
The first thing that came to mind was the wooden planks
So made that as my background using distress inks
and scoring  for the planks.
Added some script and inked the edges.
When I went to get my wildflower stamps and dies
I forgot I also had the stencil so sponged that to the background
And inked a few flowers but shouldn't have worried about that
as the die cut flowers covered them. They were just cut from
scrap papers.  Added a touch of Magical's to one flower
and Little Birdie Embossing Texture Paste to another.
Sentiment is die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs
There was a bit of inked cheesecloth on my desk
so added that behind the sentiment.
Finished by adhering to brown card stock.
Come over and check out what our Guest Claire
and the Team created and add yours to our Gallery.
Thank you to Claire
for being our Wonderful Guest this month.
Thanks for dropping in to check on this weeks make.
