This is my kind of a ski day, or should we say weekend

A view from the top of the resoirt, Here's the tetons, poking out of the clouds!

Me at the Elk Refuge, the refuge at any given time in the winter has around 7,500 elk on it, Check out the antlers on this thing!!!

Brian and I decided it was time to take a vacation, so we headed to JACKSON HOLE for a Ski Weekend. We stayed at the Snow King Resort, its a little hotel, Im not sure if you can call it a resort except for that fact that its part of the ski resort. We got a great room that looked right at the mountain as well as the lift being a 50 yard walk from the front door of the hotel....it jsut can't get any better than that......Except for the fact that on all of the 3 days skiing, we counted at most 20 other people on the whole mounatin....there is only 1 more thing that makes it the best trip ever, I think I counted 3 snowboarders the whole time!!!

This was the view from our room!!! Snow king has extremly STEEP SLOPES....they shouldn't even be called "Slopes

Here is Brian, after succesfully launching himself off a jumpHere is me, not killing or injuring myself after coming of my first BLACK DIAMOND, For some reason the pictures never look as steepe as they really areHere is the view from Mid Mountain, looking down at the town of Jackson Hole as well as the Elk Refuge ( The big white space)On Friday, our cousins from Duboise came over & stayed the night and then skiied with us in the morning...( Well Brian and Curtis ditched us & decieded to take their new snowmobiles out) So Heidi & I stayed on the rope tow for a while & taught Maggie how to ski

Afterwards we went tubing down the tube hills, that was geat fun, I think we screamed & laughed the whole way down

After we had a fun filled day in Jackson, We headed back to Duboise to stay at their house. While we were there, we headed out for a hike along the 3 lakes area, we saw a bunch of big bucks as well as many more animal tracks. We were looking for Big Horn Sheep sheds & heads & we found 2!!! We also found mountian lion tracks, as well as a fresh kill (big horn sheep) The circle of life is sad sometimesOne of the coolest rrees Ive ever seenMaggies was a real trooper leading us up the steep mountains until she fell and sat on a cactus, then we had to pick all the thorns out of her legs, hands, bottom and everywhere else....What a fun trip up the mountain, she refused to put her pants back on beacuse they were full of thorns so curtis had to take her back down the mountain 1/2 naked....It was 20 degrees

We found some great petroglyphs on the hillside, they were scattered everywhere.
