Even more New York Pics!

Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the new backpack

"I love New York in June...How about you?"

The East River and the Brooklyn Bridge. And Charlie and Marin.

Two cute kids!

Charlie is as happy as a clam.

Charlie is kind of like a family dog. He is happy, he crawls, he hangs out under the kitchen table and begs for food during meal times, and he drools all over his shirt!

Gil and Marin before their debut at the Metropolitan Opera House.

This is the best way to get around in the City--for us and for Charlie. He loves it.

"I'm so nervous in big cities!"

Charlie went to Teddy Roosevelt's birthplace on 20th and Broadway. The museum was cool, but the "Teddy" he got was even better.

Charlie with Cousins Stuart and Ella

Charlie's New York

Can someone comment and let me know what caption I could put under this picture? Its too perfect to let go, and I can't think of a good caption.

Here is what I have so far...
"Another day, another shopping spree on Fifth Avenue..."
"Where's Wall Street? Where's Dad's BlackBerry?"
"Where's Little Italy?"
"Dapper! I'm soooo Dapper!"
"Lookout Ladies!"

This is Charlie's makeshift playpen at Bob and Brittany's house.

"Dad, wake up and fix my hair!"

"You get in first!"
"No, YOU get in first!"
"I'm not going in there!"
"Maybe if we throw all of our toys in the water and play with them, our mommies will think we are taking a bath."
"Lets do it!"

Cousins in trouble...

Ella and Charlie play together really nicely. Ella will sometimes chase Charlie, who crawls away as fast as he can while laughing. When Ella takes her nap, Charlie will sometimes wait outside her closed door laughing because he thinks Ella is going to burst out and chase him. Sometimes he waits a really long time.

"I love my blanket so much!"

"What do you mean I'm in trouble?...I'm so cute! You can't get mad at me!" Says Charlie. And he's right.

Here is Charlie with his Cousin Stuart. Charlie is gentle with Stuart (he gently sticks his pointer finger in Stuart's nose--sorry Stuart!). Bob and Brittany love having Charlie around.

MORE PICTURES OF CHARLIE!

Before we left, we went to Thanksgiving Point Gardens.

This next picture is just really funny.

We went to a friends first birthday party before we left Utah. Charlie was cute in his new hat, so cute that we didn't take it off until he went to bed.

Charlie and Gil both worked hard to pack up the Provo house and make the move to New York. They deserved their nice long nap together. The big blue chair was the last piece of furniture to go, of course.

We live in a great location: Right between Times Square and the Hudson River. There is a dog-walking park on the pier near our house where Gil and Charlie like to watch the dogs.

The stroller is Charlie’s new primary method of transportation. No more car seat. This seems to be ok with him.

Once Charlie had his upper and lower teeth, we decided his was ready for his first New York deli sandwich: A half pound of corn beef and a half pound of pastrami on rye with a side of cole slaw. OK, Gil and Marin and a take-home box helped a little…

Charlie has enjoyed several trips to Central Park. Gil and Marin get a workout every time they go. Here, Gil checks his pedometer, which counts his steps every day. He’s been walking four and five times as much as he did in Utah. Our favorite place in Central Park so far is the baseball diamonds, but we keep getting lost every time we look for the zoo, so that favorite may change.

Gil started his new job.

Gil has a really great view of the Empire State Building (its the one in the middle).
