Ginger bread making

We had a gingerbread making party with our friends Lindsey. Hailey and Claire.
Grace is VERY proud of how hers turned out. She likes to pull the stool over to the counter and steals candy off it at least 6 times a day! Then she says.... soooo pretty!

Thanksgiving.

Michaels family was in town this year for Thanksgiving. We had our FIRST Thanksgiving in our new home. We had a great week.
We went to go see the TALLEST tree in AZ.
Michael's brother Josh was here visiting from BYU. Grace is pretty much OBSESSED with him.

Grace spent LOTS of time coloring, chit chatting and reading to everyone that was visiting.
We also got a few projects done while visitors were here. Painted Graces room, hung Christmas lights, cleaned out the garage, and built Michaels tool shelf. It was so nice to have lots of helpers!

More chit chatting..............

This HANDSOME guy carved his first turkey. He did a great job !
The table...........

Sis in law and mom in law helping in the kitchen.
The Glenns came over to enjoy the yummy meal. Thanks mands for all the yummy food you made as well.

kids table.......
We also celebrated a few days later Uncle Joshies birthday. WOW does Grace LOVE birthdays! All day she kept singing him the happy birthday song.
We had such a great time with everyone here. We sure missed our other family members but were glad we could at least be with some. Thanks for all your help with cooking and helping with projects around the house. We love you all, and have so much to be thankful for.

BIG week!

I never thought I would be "that mom" who blogs about potty training. But I had no idea how proud I would be of my little munchkin and our success this week. We started..... Yep... I made a decision.. and we are doing it!
So basically this week we were home bound and went for it. Read lots of books while sitting, sang plenty of primary songs and just chit chatted.

Thank heavens for Tootsie rolls and Dora undies to get us through the week!

Way to go BIG KID, we are far from getting it perfect but we are BOTH feeling pretty good about life!

Nanny and Poppas house

Last week Michael had training for work in New Jersey. It was too HOT in phx for me so Grace and I loaded up and headed to my parents house in Ca. Always so many adventures on the ranch.
Helping Nanny watering her flowers and grass.
Baking in the Kitchen.
Alot of swinging.
Went to see the animals and the trains at the fruit barn.
Fed some ducks and fish.
Found another park.
Antique shopping down town with mom and nanny.
Always stopped the car to watch cows, horses, and sheep etc.....
Watched movies.

Grace followed the dogs around the orchards and watched all the tractors as they worked. The whole time was spent OUTSIDE !! Grace has a joy for the small things in life, I love learning from her each day. Thanks Nanny and Poppa for a WONDERFUL VISIT. We missed you the second we left the long driveway.
