New Addition!

Michael and I are now owners of Poisonous Dart Frogs. They are not Poisonous in captivity, so no worries. We have a male and female and they are both bright blue! So cool. They are fascinating to watch! Thanks Jake for introducing us to this new hobby!

Backpacking

Friday night Dan, LJ, Brian, Lacey, Michael and I went on a backpacking trip.  We started at Tony's Grove went up Namoi peak and then ended on the Cherry Creek Trail in Richmond! It was about 12 miles long, we are all sore but had a wonderful time!

We lost the trail so we just hiked straight up Namoi peak, ya it was intense, but the view was outstanding.

Since we lost the trail we just hiked the ridge for a while then the sun started setting and we didn't want to camp on the ridge so we just went straight down the mountain in the dark! It was pretty scary, but probably a good thing we really couldn't see everything we were climbing down.

We slept on the rocks, it was not comfortable but we woke up to an amazing view

We went up to the cabin with Michael's uncle Tongoi he is from the Kiribis Islands.  I had never met their family so it was nice to spend a little time with them.  As we were in the living room we get a knock on the window so see Michael and Brent having fun with the tractor!!! You have got to love it when grown men play :)

Lisa & Austin

On June 13th my family had a shower for my cousin Lisa. It is always fun to get together with my cousins and to see Lisa's sisters who live back east. Rebecca did the game and did a plinko style game, which was fun, she definitely has her mom's creativity.

On June 16th Lisa and Austin were married.  They had a dinner/reception up in Park city it was beautiful and I was so glad I was able to go in my dad's place. A great time with family and some mother daughter time!

Doughnut Falls & Family Pool Party

Christal has been living in Hawaii for the past 2 years and is now moving to St. Louis but was in Utah for a few weeks so we got together and hiked Doughnut falls. It was fun to get together with her and spend an afternoon together.

We climbed up the rocks and the boys did it barefoot!!!!

Later in the day Doug and Leslie invited everyone over for a swim party/ BBQ.  The weather was a bit chilly but we still had fun and as long as you were in the water you weren't cold!

White Water Rafting

A few months ago LJ found a living social deal for us to go white water rafting in Jackson. Last weekend was when we used the deal. LJ, Dan, Kelsi, Michael and I went camping Friday night and then would drive the rest of the way to Jackson to meet Jill, Staci, Aubrey, and Broc, who were driving up Saturday. Well Friday night was fun to go camping, we just drove towards the direction of Jackson and when the sun started to go down we pulled over at a gas station and asked where we could go camping and he told us where a canyon and camp sites were. Always an adventure. The weather was good for most of the night but we woke up to a clap of thunder around 7:00!!! it was loud!!! So we woke up and packed up camp quickly. So much for a nice relaxing morning :( We drove the rest of the way to Jackson and car #2 actual drove the entire way on Friday night so we went and crashed their hotel!!!

Climbing

I have been climbing on rock walls quite a few time and have always thought it was a blast and 2 weeks ago I went climbing outside!! It's still a blast but quite a bit different, and much harder!
