Guilty Pleasure

Bachelorette ....Yes it is my guilty pleasure but I enjoy every minute of it.  For the finale LJ invited us over to watch it.  The boys were so excited to watch the 3 hour finale so after about 2 min in they left and went and grabbed our original Nintendo and Contra.  Michael and Dan spent the rest of finale playing trying to beat the game.  They finally used a cheat code and conquered it.  Hahah fun evening!

On the 24th I had work so Michael just did homework, exciting holiday for us.....  That night we went over to willow park and watched the firework display.  I was impressed with the show they put on, and we were right underneath them, pretty much as close as any one was allowed.  It was fun to watch them run back and forth lighting them.

Original Nintendo

Michael posted on facebook that he wanted an original Nintendo, low and behold one of his friends says that he has an extra one that we can have! SWEET!!!! When we went down for the bishop bash a few weeks ago we picked it up.  So we decided to whip it out and play.  To get it to work we had to pull out all the tricks, blowing on it snapping it down and it worked.  We had a fun evening playing.

Tree house?

Michael and I, mostly Michael have been planning a tree house for the cabin.  We finally got it mostly figured out and ready to start putting in the first boards, so we headed up to the cabin to drill some holes in the tree only to find out the drill bit we had to buy was to big for the drill we brought up. Oh well, it will get started eventually, and it is always nice to relax at the cabin!

Birthday Bash

Before I get to the Bash, the week before Logan had it's annual cruise in. This is the first year that I have been in Logan for it. I'll be honest I wasn't that impressed. Some of the cars were cool, but some were not old at all. We did see a radiator blow, sad for the owner but added some excitement. After about 30 min we were done so we went to dinner with our friends. Well at least I can say I've seen it once.

On July 13th we had the Bishop reunion.  This is a huge reunion with all the second cousins and stuff, a whole bunch of people that I don't know, and honestly Michael doesn't know a lot either...haha but they rented the Bountiful Rec Center, which is always a blast.  Going down the slide so many times!!! Then we went ice skating.  I forgot socks so LJ went and grabbed me some, as well as a jacket, so this next picture is my wonderful outfit! hahah

trendsetter? I hope not!

The next day Farmington had their parade.  The kids had fun getting all sorts of goodies!

Cute kids and their snow cones!!! :)

Subway

On Friday June 29th 11 of the bishop clan and 1 friend all hiked Subway down in Zion's National park.  It was a beautiful hike, however the last 1/3(not pictured) was the hardest, just because it was so hot, we were out of water and it was just the hike out.  We had finished all the fun parts, sliding on rocks and all the swimming and repelling were done.!

The gang before the trip

Best picture right Jill?

Repelling and Swimming

How most of us attacked the swimming portions, just dive right on in and doggie paddle to the end

Lake Powell

Lake Powell:
Brandon, Chelsea, Michael, Aubrey, and I took the boat to Lake Powell on Saturday and went shopping.  The boys were troupers, but definitely done with shopping after a while.  Shopping for 10 for a week is a lot!
