New Hobby

I've mentioned in previous posts that I really don't have a hobby so I was going to make sewing my new hobby.  Well I took on my 1st big project.  LJ and I decided to make a dress.  This was the 1st time either one of us has ever followed a pattern.  I've made a few things but followed tutorials either from and instructor or online.  Definitely took some work and guessing but we finished and they didn't turn out to bad.  Our next project is going to be a skirt.  Hopefully not quite as daunting as these dresses were!

Ogden Train Show

Michael and I took Trey to the Ogden train show a few weekends ago.  Both Trey and Michael love trains and it was fun to take him and have a fun Saturday with our nephew.

Chocolate Cups

Dan and LJ invited us over to there new place to make Chocolate cups with pudding inside.  They had seen this tutorial on Pinterest and thought we should try it.  We blew up water balloons then dipped them in chocolate and put it outside to harden, simple enough right?  Well I was the brave sole who went 1st.  It worked we were so excited then as I was putting it down it popped--chocolate went everywhere!  Well Michael went next and his was successful, then most everyone else had one pop on them, but we figured that if we stuck the balloon in the freezer 1st for a few minutes they didn't pop.  We surely made a mess, but it worked and they were delicious.
