Don't you just LOVE these pink cowboy boots! I think everyone should have a pair of them. Here we are on another "White Wednesday" and those of us that live in Southern CA are really having some wonderful summer weather! I love it, especially since I hate the cold, this has been a nice break during our winter months. Below are some lovely whites and great displays courtesy of Cindy Finch here at Country Roads!
Each and every week, without fail, Cindy is at Country Roads at least one day a week, or most often two. She changes everything around, rotates her inventory and her displays come out so awesome. She also has quite a bit of "real estate" here at Country Roads, yet she still manages to keep everything fresh, clean, displayed and eye catching! I hope you find some time to go visit Kathleen. I love her personal "style" and am always anxious to see her pictures each and every week. Hope you all have a great day. Take care!

Country Roads Randomness
I meant to get a post up this morning, but I have to admit, I was TIRED! All of our wonderful customers kept us SO busy this week-end, that I'm still recovering. But I have to say that kind of recovery comes with a big smile and a heart full of gratitude! Thank you to each and every one of you that came to see us this past week-end. Our customers are really the best. I only had time to snap a few quick pictures this week-end, so here are just some random pictures which illustrate the many different looks & styles of my Country Roads family!
Brande had been after me all week-end to take a picture of this plum tree. It rarely blooms but our summer like temperatures lately tricked it! And speaking of Brande, who already runs and after school art program for younger elementary students, today was her first day teaching a couple of classes at Cal State University Fullerton. She is teaching in the American Studies department. The same place I sat many, many years ago when American Studies was a brand new department at CSUF! I am very proud of her, just as I am of Katie and Bryce. I truly have been blessed with kids that grew-up understanding what a work ethic is all about! And that also includes Yesi & Carol who grew up the same way! They feel like "my" girls!! I don't know what I would do without them! And again, thank you all for making Country Roads the store it is today. Take care.

Country Primitives
One of my own real loves, what pulls on my heart are the old country primitive antiques. My house has a lot of different things in it, a bit eclectic, but if push came to shove, I've got some old primitive pieces I could never, ever part with. Ginny, one of our CR family, also shares the love of country primitives as well. And she also likes "the big boys" as she refers to her large primitive pieces. She just did a make over in her area last week and here are just a few pictures of what she has. We were extremely busy yesterday, which I'm extremely grateful for. So, if some of these pictures look just a tad blurry I apologize. I took them very quickly!
Like Ginny, I love the history that goes with these old primitive pieces. On her price tags, Ginny always writes as much as she knows about her "big boys" and it is always nice to have a little bit of history when you purchase one of these great pieces. I've never seen Country Roads look better than it does now. If you haven't been in lately, I hope you stop by soon. Looks like today we will have the wind, and all of us know that Old Towne Orange is the freak magnet for WIND! Take care.

This & That Saturday
I had "really" big plans yesterday of taking a whole bunch of pictures at Country Roads. Sadly, my camera battery died, but not before I had a chance to take a few pictures of our many different looks at "the store"! Our goal this year at CR is "steppin up our game" which means we are all united in bringing only the best of the best merchandise, displays, product, and customer service to you all this year! Here are a few examples below.
And for all you gardeners, "JUST IN", yesterday a big order arrived from Annie's Annuals! Johnny Merle's Garden & Nursery out back is busy displaying all the latest from Annie's. As the gardeners out there know, these plants sell out pretty quickly. Stop by JM's BLOG later today to see some photos of what we now have in. I'm looking forward to seeing you this week-end, take care!

My Other Job
I spend Wednesday & Thursday taking care and having fun with my "little ones"! If you don't care for little kids, then this is not the blog post for you, it's a total Gramma post! Taking care of little ones under five keeps you pretty busy. Bodhi is teething so all of his pictures have drool, he can't help himself. I would have loved to got a picture of all three of my babies together, but as you can see below, it wasn't going to happen. So, here are some shots taken at my "other job" which by the way I love!
Tomorrow I go back to my regular job at CR. As many of you know, we welcome strollers and little kids and dogs at Country Roads. We are just "that" kind of store. I'm always anxious to return to "the store" after being off because everything changes so much. I'll have new pictures of new looks this week-end. Speaking of that, hope to see you then! Take care.
