Things With Wings

Hi good morning everyone. We are all alone for the weekend, me and hubby, as both kids are camping with the Scouts, so we are soon to be going out shopping and for tonight we have a night out planned as well yay :) .. This doesn't happen often, so when younger son yesterday was saying that he was getting a bit bored with the Scouts............... I really wasn't so pleased !!!

Anyway it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week the theme is
THINGS WITH WINGS.

We are this week sponsored by the lovely Bugaboo Stamps and lucky girls we could choose a stamp from the store to make our card. Having a graduation card to do, I quickly decided on this fun owl image, just perfect for this theme as well. For the background today I did some stamping with my Inkadinkadoo clear stamp and then die-cut it with my Spellbinders square die. I coloured image with promarkers, some card candy and die-Namics stars to finish it off. The ribbon is from a MIC craft pack and sentiment came with the digi image.

Candy

------------ Candy is now CLOSED and winner has been drawn HERE ------------

It was a Public Holiday here in Malta today, a bit windy but a nice day still, so, with my feet still hurting from yesterday's night out at the Cocktail party, off we went Christmas shopping to Valletta for the day .. Was a great night out yesterday, really enjoyed it .. and me was so excited that I got so many compliments for my dress he he  ;)  Will be having a photo hopefully later on this week as have to wait for them to be uploaded on the Bank website.

Anyway, don't have a card today, but as I said yesterday, I was thinking of organising a Candy, seeing so many around at the moment, I thought I would do the same as well.

So here it is, hope you like it and join in.
It is open to my followers, new followers will be able to join in future candies.
Just leave your name in Mr Linky down below  and good luck.
I will leave it open till the 25th of December and will draw a winner a day or two afterwards.

A Shaped Card with I Love Promakers

I am so pleased with myself this week ... I am managing to do my DT cards in time! Being so busy, I really didn't think I'd make it.. won't say how late I stayed up on Monday to finish them, but I did them yay :) and I also managed to do some fun hopping as well .. another yay :) .. .

Not as much as I wished.. still so much to catch up, but I'll be there .. not today though unfortunately... I'm taking son to his football coaching after work and then heading straight to the hairdresser as I have my work Christmas Cocktail Party tonight woo hoo !! Everyone dresses up so niceely and chic so I bought me a really nice dress for the occasion. Was with my friend when I got it and she kind of convinced me to buy it!! Yes Chrissy I have to get me a pic with it now and show it he he :)

Ooo I'm so talkative today, sorry sorry..  must be my excitement for the party. So better get on to my card.

I have a Circle Easel Card today and I made it for this week's new challenge at I Love Promarkers. ...my second card as a DT here .. big smile .. really loving this :)

For my card I used a really sweet stamp from Cardmadfairy's which, lucky me, is one of five stamps that I had won last week in their challenge!

I have of course coloured my image with my promarkers, the papers were magazine freebies and the sentiment is again from my MSE (My Sentiments Exactly) Christmas stamp set. Some faux stitching, white bubbles, glitter and sparkly peel-off snowflakes to finish it off.

We are this week sponsored by Joanna Sheen and the winner gets a fantastic voucher from the store.

I am entering my card in these challenges today

Snowflakes

Hi girls, good afternoon.. .. Yes I forgot to schedule my post for this morning woops!! I am so busy at the moment that I am not surprised with myself that I forgot! Anyway, it's Tuesday, so that means that it's time for another fun challenge at Crafty Sentiments.
The theme for this week is an easy one to help us with our Christmas Cards.
SNOWFLAKES

I was so happy with this theme as unfortunately.... I'm still doing my Christmas Cards!!!

For my card today I used the gorgeous rubber stamp, A Christmas Song, from this year's rubber stamp release Billy and Primrose Christmas Collection.

I coloured Billy and Primrose with my promarkers, the snowflakes dies are Spellbinders, border punch is Fiskars and the sentiment stamp is from my My Sentiments Exactly clear stamp set. I love this set, so many different sentiments.

This is the sketch that I followed today to do my card.

And these are my challenges

For Fun Challenges - A CHRISTMAS CARD

Peeker Molly Fairy

Hello everyone. It's the second week of the Sketch Challenge at Stamp Fairy and this week all the Stampfairies are using the sweet Peeker Molly Fairy that you can get for free if you complete the blog hop.

For my card this time I decided to use some pink coloured snowflakes paper as I thought Molly Fairy would be great for a Christmas Card as well. The border punch is Martha Stewart, coloured Molly with my promarkers, the leaves are Marianne Creatable die and the sentiment was a clear stamp freebie in a magazine.

This is the sketch if you would like to play along.... and don't forget.... like me... that you also have to decorate the inside of your card!

Yes, I totally forgot to do this, having done this card in a hurry, after coming home so late yesterday from the Annual President's Charity Run/Walk !  So many people this year, over 11,000.

I also have some photos from yesterday
It was like a feast, with bands marching and throwing confetti.

With my friend since school.

Nearly there now.

In Valletta

The runners have now arrived with the President in front.

I didn't manage to get a photo of him though. We really enjoyed it .. so many people. After this we went shopping and I got me a nice dress for a party I'm going on Wednesday and then went to have something to eat as well.

Hopefully I'll get me some other photos now from my crafting day on Saturday which I had told you about.

I'm off now to take son to football and see my mum at the Old People's Home as well. Will be back with some challenges.

Thank you for looking.

Happy Birthday Stamp Fairy

I bet you are now really wondering what I've been up to that kept me so busy this week. Well finally I did it.. was in fact finishing it this morning! .. I was doing a Desk Calendar for the Stamp Fairy Blog Hop 1st Year Party Celebrations. YES that's right, Stamp Fairy today is One Year Old and to celebrate, Gerda and all the Stampfairies are hosting a blog hop where EVERYONE who completes the hop will win a prize! But that is not all.. .. there is also a 50% sale on all the digis in the store and Gerda has also released two digi sets of Barry and Molly throughout the year WOW!

I decided to use the Barry release for my calendar and so here it is..

I tried not to do my pages bulky.. so just some punched snowflakes and gems on the January page.

A little red bow and a Marianne Creatables flourish die on the next one for February.

I love the March one, always so sweet Barry.
The flowers are Crea-Lies from Joanna Sheen, an X-Cut butterfly punch and again some gems.

Papers here are Papermania, and again Crea-Lies dies flowers and card candy.

My birthday month. There are actually two papers here but I hid where they join. Butterfly is Spellbinders.

More Crea-Lies die cut flowers, paper is from my DCWV paper pack .. just perfect for June.

Some stars for the 4th of July.. but it's also fireworks in Malta .. lots of village feasts.

August, lots of colours here. The stars are Die-Namics.

Some warm colours now for September...

... and dark ones for October. The background image was a packaging from a Halloween thing I bought.

More recycling here, the paper were all scraps! The flourish is Joy Crafts..

And finally December, a simple layout again and traditional Christmas colours. The poinsettia is  Spellbinders.

A side view of my calendar. ... just how I wanted it, not bulky!

So if you are following the hop you should have arrived here from Chrissy, but if not, and you would like to join us, then you need to start from the beginning at the Stamp Fairy Blog.

Please leave a comment letting us know that you have visited and you also need to collect a letter from each stop. Spell out a short phrase with these and then email to Gerda to get you a really beautiful Stamp Fairy Freebie image. Your next stop on the hop is Sharon and the letter that you need to collect from here is ........

Thank you so much for joining us with the celebrations, the hop ends on the 31st of December. Don't forget the 50% off Sale at the store if you would like to get some new digis.

These are the releases that Gerda has released especially for the Party Blog Hop Celebrations
Barry Throughout the Year                                       Molly Throughout the Year
