Courage....

Here's another card using some awesome Verve stamps.  I really like this courage quote, and would agree wholeheartedly that sometimes courage is the quiet voice saying "let's try again tomorrow."
I decided to design both the outside and inside of this card.  The texture on the cardfront is made using the diamonds impression plate from PTI.  The color scheme is Orange Zest and Pure Poppy, also from PTI.  The large flower is from Prima. The stamped images are all from the Verve stamp set called, Blue Skies.

here is a picture of the inside of the card:
as you can see, I had to add some sparkle to the butterfly.  :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you have a great day!!

Kind Words

I just love that Verve put this beautiful quote by Mother Teresa into a stamp! Its such a true statement- "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." The stamp comes from the Kind Words stamp set, and the awesome flowers come from the Great Friend stamp set. I stamped the quote right onto the kraft cardstock, the flowers were colored using prisma pencils and gamsol to blend the colors. I placed a yellow candy dot in the center of each flower and tied aqua bakers twine across the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Winter

Hello Paper Maniac peeeeeeps!! Hope you all had a wonderful, blessed holiday with your family, friends and loved ones. This card is quite fitting for me today, as we woke up to almost 2 feet of snow in NJ!!  Winter is surely here.

I made this card using the Echo Park Wintertime kit.  The trees and scenery is from the sticker sheet that is included in the package.  The letters are also from the Wintertime paper pack. I just measured the scenery to fit the cardfront, adhered and that's it, you have a card.  soooooo easy! The ribbon is scrap from my stash and the snowman comes from a PTI set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

WWI- Hoo Loves Ya Baby?

Here is an adorable owl digital image from Wink Wink Ink. It was alot of fun to color this fun character.  This card was really simple to make.  I die cut the image onto a Spellbinders Label 16 and sponged the edges in Memento Dandelion ink for added color. The card base is Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate, and has distressed dots pattern paper at the bottom.  I stamped the large dots from the PTI Polka Dot Basics 2 stamp set on the Chocolate layer. I added yellow bakers twine and yellow candy dots to embellish the card.  The sentiment is from the There She Goes (TSG) stamp set You're a Hoot.

Have a great day!

Happy Holidays Candy Canes

Here is a Holiday card using Papertrey Ink stamp set called Friendship Jar- Holiday Fillers.  I love this stamp set, there are a ton of adorable images that can be used both with or without the friendship jar itself, and the images don't just have to be used for holiday themed cards, they can be used all winter too.  These candy canes just jumped out at me, they were fun to color and add sparkle.  The card base is Kraft cardstock and layered with PTI Distressed Dots pattern paper (I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this paper).

Merry Christmas!!

Wink Wink Ink- Holiday Peace

Here's another card using an adorable Wink Wink Ink digital stamp image.  I love that this christmas tree had open circles to embellish as ornaments.  I decided to fill these circles with different colored candy dots. The image was die cut using Spellbinders Labels 16 and sponged around the edges with Memento Pear Tart ink. The card base is Kraft cardstock and the pattern paper is from Echo Park- Everyone Loves Christmas.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card. The borders are die cut using MFT die-namics. The sentiment  is also from Wink Wink Ink.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas Slusser- Inktegrity

Here's an adorable Slusser image from Inktegrity used on a Christmas card.  I used a Kraft cardstock base, layered with some snowflake paper from Girls Paperie. See the sparkle on the snowflakes??  eeeeeeeee, I LOVE adding little hints of glitter and bling on my cards. Slusser is colored with Copic markers and is cut on a petite oval spellbinder die.  Thanks so much for stopping by, have a fabulous Christmas and Holiday season.

Let it Snow

Happy Saturday Paper Maniacs- posting late today, my apologies! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday season so far.  Its been crazy cold here in NJ this week, however no snow as of yet, so, here is my wishful thinking card- "Let it Snow"  :-)

I used the awesome Echo Park winter pattern paper (Everyone Loves Christmas) for the background.  I used the American Crafts (autumn) seasonal assortment pack for the card base and green layer on the front and inside of the card. I used copics to color the stamped image, and oldie, but goodie from Stampin Up.  I added some sparkle to the letters using distress stickles.  The stamped image is cut with Spellbinders Label 16 (i LOVE this label, and use it ALOT).  I also used some buttons and rhinestones to jazz up the card front a bit.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card:
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Thankful for You cards

Here are some quick Thank You's I put together to thank everyone that supported my daughter's Yankee Candle fundraiser for school.  I'm so proud of these cards, because they were completely made using scraps!!  The cream bases are leftover 3.5"X 10" (folded in half) from when I did my brother's wedding invites, the brown borders are also cut from scraps found in my scrap bin, and the yellow patterned paper is leftover as well (PTI Distressed Dots collection).  I LOVE when I can use up so many different elements and make a completely different cards from them! Hooray for being "GREEN."

The stamped images are from PTI's Wreath for all Seasons set.  The sentiment is from Friendship Jar: Fall Fillers.

Here is more detailed photo:
Thanks for stopping by, I too, am so thankful for all of you, my wonderful crafty friends and family!

Have a safe and happy Thanksgving weekend.

Gobble, Gobble

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Here is a quick and easy card I made using the PTI set called: Gobble Gobble.  I LOVE that this stamp set has a matching die for the turkey body and feathers. My daughter and I spent a bunch of time one evening just cutting out turkeys with this die, all with different colored feathers.  She has about 15 turkey pets in her room, and they ALL have names!!  LOL

I hope everyone has a safe holiday. Blessings to all.

Back to the Basics- Basic Grey that is!!

Hey Paper Maniac Peeeeeps!! Have you been following the blog this week, we are showing off tons of creations using the awesome Basic Grey papers in the store. I used the Lemonade series for this card. I keep going back to this stack of papers all the time, its one of my all-time favorites.  I distressed the edges of the papers using a cool distressing tool, and then sewed them onto the kraft card base. The big flower is from the awesome Prima selection in the store. I also used some bakers twine and a button for accents.  The stamped images are from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!!

You should have arrived from TANIA'S AMAZING BLOG.

The card I am sharing today uses the new Year of Flowers set from Papertrey Ink, called Marigolds.  I really like the sentiments in this set, along with the HUGE flower images (they are alot of fun to color....or, as I did here, stamp on bright pattern paper (PTI Distressed Dots) for an awesomely vivid floral image!) I also used the new PTI Blueberry Sky paper for the card base, and two buttons (PTI Hawaiian Shores) tied with bakers twine.  Easy CAS card.

FWF Post Halloween

Happy Friday firends!!  Its another wonderful Unity FWF day- I have a post-Halloween card to share with you.  (Its been very cloudy, rainy and windy here lately, so I havent been able to get outside and take a decent picture....until today!) I was trying to use up some of the awesome Echo Park Halloween papers I had in my stash.  The stamped images come from the Unity Stamp Co September KOM.  I LOVE those pumpkins- and I think they can be used for all sorts of fall cards, not just for Halloween.

Heres a picture of the inside of the card:

Hubby was awesome and gave me an "advance" on my birthday present this year.  He bought me an awesome electronic sewing machine (Brother CE5500PRW), and I have been using it on all of my cards so far.  This machine beats out my older one (a pixie) because it is soooooo much easier to thread and change bobbins, as well as thread the dreaded needle (not dreaded anymore though). Thanks babe, you are the BEST!!
Hope you all have a great day!!

You are SO Wise

Hello Paper Maniacs, Happy Saturday! I am happy to show you this card today, made with super-awesome, unique images from Northwoods Stamps.  Have you seen that all Northwoods Stamps are marked down 25% in the Paper Maniac store until October 31st?? Eeeeep!!

This card was pretty easy to create. I used a Neenah white cardstock base, and navy layers. I used Spellbinders classic rectangles for the focal image and layer. The Northwoods image is stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored with copics. The night sky and the moon were sponged with 3 different shades of Memento ink: Lulu Lavendar, Cantaloupe and Tangelo. My daughter wanted me to color the tree's eyes blue (not sure if it shows on the photo). :-)
Here is a close-up if the cololring:

Spotlighting Morning Glories

I have always loved this quote- "Let us be grateful for those who make our souls blossom." Sometimes, in life, we are lucky enough to be graced with wonderful people who make our souls blossom.  I am so very grateful for those gifts that have been given to me-a loving family and caring, compassionate friends- people who truly make my soul blossom.

I was thinking about those people as the inspiration for my card.

Dont you just love this floral image?  It comes from Papertrey Ink's Morning Glories set.  I love the bright blue to lilac colors of morning glories, and they are one of my favorite kinds of flowers.

Here is a close-up of the spotlighted image.  I thought spotlighting parts of this flower would stand out against the white paper.  If you want to read more about the spotlighting tecchnique, click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, hope you have a fabulous day!

Supplies:
Papers:  PTI-chartreuse, white. Prism dark violet.
Stamps: PTI- Morning Glories
Ink- Memento

Fall Wreath Thank You

I am LOVING the new Papertrey Ink releases, this card uses the Wreath for All Seasons set.  This set is so neat, it has 3 awesome wreath images and several senitments and a few accent images too!!  There is so much versatility with this set, its AMAZING!!  The sentiment on this card comes from the YOF: Morning Glories set.

Again, this card was super-easy to make.  I used a PTI Terracotta Tile carstock base and die cut Spellbinders Labels 15- I sponges around the edges with Desert Sand (Memento) ink and stanped the wreath image right onto the die cut.  I stamped the dotted wreath image over the twiggy wreath and added some glittery accents (stickles).  Lastly, I tied a bit of Bakers twine around the bottom of the card, and stamped the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous day!!

It's Pumpkin Time

I have been having alot of fun using up some of my fall/halloween/thanksgiving stamps lately.  Usually, fall passes right by, for me, and I don't get the chance to create some FUN fall/halloween cards.

Not this year!!  :-)

I used the PTI Stamp Sets: Friendship Jar and Friendship Jar Fall Fillers to make this eeeeeasy CAS card.  I just used a PTI White cardstock base, stamped the images right onto the cardstock and colored with Copic markers.

I finished the card with photo corners (punched from the photo corners punch from SU!) made from Echo Park Halloween paper, and the label is punched from the PTI Friendship Jar label die on Orange Zest cardstock....and there you have it!!
Here is a close-up of the pumpkin pops!

Leave No Words Unspoken

Hello friends!! Here is a fun CAS card I made using Verve's new release called, Dream Big.  I love the HUGE flowers in this set and the awesome sentiments included as well.  This sentiment is quite important to me: "Leave No Words Unspoken."

That is how I try to live my life, leaving no words unspoken.  My family and friends KNOW how much I love, enjoy and adore them, and how thankful I am, that they are a part of my life.  It also works the other way- if I'm uncomfortable or disagree with something, I leave no words unspoken.  Otherwise.....thats what we call BAGGAGE, and with two kids to carry, now, I don't have room for any extra bags.  :-)

So, very easy today, I stamped the flower stems in Memento Cottage Ivy ink, right onto the white cardstock.  Then, I inked the flowers with memento dandelion ink, and rolled the edges in a darker ink, tangelo (orange), used here.  I then placed some PTI buttons as flower centers, tied with bakers twine. The orange border is cut from the eyelet border die from PTI and the sentiment is stamped onto a Spellbinders Labels 14 die and sponged with dandelion ink.

Thanks for stoppping by, have a wonderful day!!

Happy Fall

Hey peeps!  Here is a super duper CAS card for you today,
to welcome the first day of FALL!!
Wow, I seriously cannot believe how fast time is flying.
Although, I must admit, I am very happy to see fall arrive,
it is one of my favorite times of the year.
Changing colors.  Apple Picking. Pumpkin Picking.
Hayrides. Thanksgiving. Family. Friends.
LOVE all that this season brings!!!

This is just a PTI white cardstock base.  I stamped the images from PTI's Falling Leaves right onto the card.  I used the rock-and-roll technique here- which is basically inking your stamp with a lighter color then rolling the edges of the stamp in a darker color. I used orange and red memento ink here, to resemble the changing leaf colors.  The frame and sentiment are from Fillable Frames 7, again stamped right onto the cardstock.  AND, of course whats a card without some sparkle??  I added some glittery stickles to a few of the leaves.  I tied some chocolate bakers twine across the top of the card as well.  I LOVE bakers twine and LOVE to use it on my projects lately. Can you tell? LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day!
HAPPY FALL!!

with a simple, yet strong message:
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE.
Im a big believer in that- if you have love, you can get through, and do anything.

I kept the card to one layer- I LOVE making simple, one-layer cards lately.
Its PTI Rustic Cream cardstock with the images from the Unity August 2010 KOM stamped right onto the cardstock and colored with Copic markers.
Then, I finished off the card by tying some red baker's twine around the middle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
HUGS!!
