Bmw m3 2012

                                                       Bmw m3 2012

European Bimmers with the new 8-speed automatic transmission include a fuel-saving idle-stop system like that on many gas/electric hybrid vehicles. This employs a battery-powered electric motor, sandwiched between the transmission and engine, that functions as a starter and/or generator. No word on whether this feature will be included on North American 2012 BMW 3-Series models, but it seems likely. Other possible new mpg-boosters include power steering with electric-motor assist (versus a less-efficient engine-driven pump) and a racing-style kinetic-energy-recovery system that charges the service battery or hybrid-drive battery pack while braking and coasting.
Such developments highlight a general industry trend toward vehicles with more “electrified” systems that contribute to higher fuel economy and lower emissions. Toward that end, as Autocar reports, BMW is working on a completely new electrical architecture that’s likely to be introduced as part of the F30 3-Series’ midterm update. This would be designed to accommodate electrified steering and even brakes, as well as low-energy lighting, the more-powerful batteries and motors being developed for future hybrid-drive systems, and the increasing need for more onboard computing power to coordinate all these systems and run new infotainment features. Autocar also says that BMW is developing a low-energy climate-control system that will keep the cabin constantly dehumidified by reclaiming heat from the engine exhaust. Conceivably, this could eliminate the need for a weighty air-conditioning condenser and power-sapping engine-driven A/C compressor.
More immediately, Autocar says, BMW will focus on optimizing body design to minimize fuel-wasting air drag. You won’t see anything as radical as fully covered wheels or “wingless airplane” shapes. BMW knows styling like that won’t fly with customers. What you can expect are visually subtle tweaks born of wind-tunnel work to pay fuel-economy dividends. An example is the so-called “air curtain.” This uses a series of narrow vertical intakes in the lower front bumper for channeling air to slots inside each front wheel well. The air exits the slots at high velocity to pass over the wheels, creating a virtual barrier that reduces drag in much the same way as a solid cover would. Tests show the air curtain can improve the drag coefficient of a midsize BMW 5-Series by a factor of 0.01, which doesn’t sound like much but is actually quite significant. BMW is investigating similar “airflow management” devices for the underbody and the areas around the brakes and engine bay. Because static air-smoothers like this cost relatively little, we’d expect one or more to show up in the 2012 BMW 3-Series.

Bmw x1

There is a rumor going around for some time now regarding a brand new BMW model being launched in the near future: the BMW X2, which may become part of the BMW line up from 2011. The BMW X2 or SAR, which stands for Sports Activity Runabout, as it was codenamed, is looked at as BMW X6’s little brother or a baby BMW, as we can see in Carmagazine.

As for BMW X2’s design, it will be a two-door model with lines that resemble a coupe’s. The BMW X2 will have the same engine as the BMW X1 and probably similar technologies, including the xDrive.
While Carmagazine UK says that the BMW X2 hasn’t been given a green light yet, as the plans are still being drawn, a test mule has been spotted in Munich, so at the time we are still in therumor stage and we don’t know if BMW will continue with this.bmwcoop

Bmw e36

                                                             Bmw e36
Jakarta – The original car manufacturer does have good skills, especially if we buy a sports car then we’ll get a car with great power and rapid acceleration. But sometimes all that is still lacking, because humans have always felt lacking in terms of any case that’s perfect even though according to men. If you want to add power and acceleration, the car will be modified by the owner of the car to get the desired result.
One of them is the BMW E36 coming from Jakarta, Indonesia. As quoted from the second car, BMW E36 is capable of producing power to 750 hp while on the wheel about 550 hp. Wooowwww.
Changes in the BMW E36 is not only located on the engine, body is also experiencing significant changes. BMW E36 4-door who has converted to BMW E46 2-door coupe. Body also replaced BMW E46 using the body starting from the front, door to the rear.
For the legs, everything is tailored to the interests of drifting. Starting from the suspension until the front tires that have been tilted so many degrees of true drift-style car.
As for the inside is made simple with just pinned a combined 19-inch TVs booming sound system. This car speakers using the Venom Coax 6 inches and VX 4112 w subwoofer with two power namely V1100 4P Venom and Venom DV 2000 5:11 capacitor banks and VC 1.2 FS11.
Although there are devices in the cabin comfort, safety features this car according to Dani is in compliance with FIA standards for drift car category.
Look at the frames in it. Not just welded, but it actually integrates with the chassis. The level of security is already a standard car drift car international, “beber Dani.
Furthermore Dani then tell if the car is not only a display car alone, melaikan really special car made for drifting events.
It’s really drift car. The plan of 2011 will drift contests will be followed this car.’ll Loose all my audio, body is also going to be replaced each fiber for a lighter,” said Dani who won several trophies at the prestigious event modification contest

2011 BMW 7451

BMW introduced its radically new 2011 BMW 745i with styling that still is controversial, with unusual looking front and rear ends. It’s lavishly upholstered, trimmed and equipped, although its highlight is the high-tech V12. The smooth new 6-liter engine produces 438 horsepower and enormous torque. The car weighs a hefty 4,872 pounds, but the V12 gives it the response of a smaller, lighter car. The unibody’s steel components have been treated to resist corrosion. However, the engine hood and front fenders are made of aluminum. It has been built on the new E65-E66 platform which has the advantage of offering almost perfect front/rear weight distribution (50.5/49.5% front/rear).
Despite the wide fascia, the 745 sports a remarkable drag coefficient of 0.29 in the wind tunnel. The body is extremely rigid in torsion and in flexion and therefore constitutes a solid base for the wheel axles. The fully independent suspension is based on front struts and a rear four-link axle with anti-drive and anti-pitch controls.
Most of the suspension components are made of aluminum to maximize weight reduction. The front and rear stabilizer bars of new 2011 BMW 745i contribute to canceling out roll because they are counter-activated by a hydraulic motor. Buyers may also select the optional Electronic Damping Control (EDC) system designed to vary the stiffness of the shock absorbers to ensure the correct balance between comfort and handling. Four power-assisted ventilated discs are assisted by an antilock and traction control system integrated in the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system which manages handling as well as brake pressure in emergency situations. This highly evolved technology ensures neutral handling in curves and reacts when the driver makes a false maneuver or when dictated by the quality of the road surface. Although new 2011 BMW 745i carries over the same displacement, the engine is brand new. This V8 features an alloy block and cylinder heads, DOHC distribution and 4 valves per cylinder. The VANOS distribution system is innovative.
The German equivalent of VTEC technology, it varies the intake and exhaust valve timing by adjusting the camshaft. This technology is paired up to the VALVETRONIC system, which controls the intake valves without a throttle butterfly. Fuel injection and ignition are managed by a Bosch Motronic ME9 module. The 6-speed automatic transmission is electronically controlled and features a semi-automatic mode. This adaptive transmission shifts gears according to road conditions or driving habits. The 2011 2011 BMW 745i cars are large, with even the base 745i having a 117.7-inch wheelbase. But the longer-wheelbase versions have limousine-style back seat room and look more impressive. The 2011 2011 BMW 745i have a 123.2-inch wheelbase and are 203.5 inches long, compared with 198 inches for the 745i. Is the V12 needed? Not really, unless an owner wants bragging rights or lives near wide-open Southwestern highways. The V8 whisks the 7-Series sedan to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, whereas the V12 version hits 60 in 5.4 seconds. Top speed of both versions is electronically limited to 149 mph.
