Who wudda guessed it would be Kaylin!

So we have the first black eye in the family. Of course it is Kaylin. Johnathon and Kaylin were on the double swing that looks kinda like a teeter toter and John (after warning him not to) went to high and Kaylin fell off. I think the swing then hit her in the face although I didn't see that part. These are right after it happened. This was last night. This was today. Sorry bad pic but the best I could get with her closing her eye. Beautiful!! So congratulations Kaylin, I'm surprised it took this long! :)

Oh my gosh what a week

So I have had the busiest week I have had in a very long time. Between school, a field trip, halloween parties, gymnastics, food and clothing donations (3 diff organizations came a knockin), meetings for my new calling, and going out of town I have been stretched!! But its given me an idea of how the rest of my life is going to be like with kids old enough to do stuff. Here is Jase at her halloween party.
I know not the greatest pics but thats what you get!

School days, school days!

Johnathons school pictures!

Not gunna do it!

So it doesn't look like we are going to be able to get this house either! Little background-Last month we found a flip house, offered on it, they accepted and we proceeded to closing. 6 days before closing we got a call from Countrywide saying they were cancelling all accounts that hadn't closed yet. That was us! We applied at a couple other places for financing but things had tightened up and even though we qualified for a loan it wasn't enough for that house so we went searching for a new one. We found this one! We were pretty excited because it could be someplace we actually wanted to stay. 1/2 an acre! Wahoo! We offered on it for what we were approved for they counter offered and we counter offered back at 7,000 more than what we were approved for thinking we could push it because our loan officer said it would probably be no problem. So we submitted our paperwork to get approved by the bank for the new offer. And guess what? Denied! Not only were we denied for the new offer but they said because things had changed that week we were no longer approved for the previous amount. They said if we had applied a week earlier we would have got it. Suckola! So heres the house that would have been! By the way it has a basement.

Fall is definately here

These are the last of the roses at my moms house and of course the girls had to pick them. John and Kaylin were sleeping so they didn't get in on the fun but Dane did. Sorry about the crack but I couldn't resist.

Perfect perch for a rose if you ask me!

Getting ready for Halloween

The other day Johnathon comes up to me and tells me he wants to be a koala for Halloween. For a long time he wanted to be fire. We tried to talk him into a fireman but that didn't work. So when he changed his mind to a koala I was a little relieved until I was trying to come up with an idea of how to dress him. Ebay here I come. I find everything there and indeed I found a koala costume for $5. Well it is funny to say the least. Here is a picture of the gigantic claws. Who knew a three yr old koala would need claws bigger than my hand. I will post pics of all the kids in their costumes for halloween so you'll just have to wait. :)

If our best is good enough

So we put an offer on a house. I tell ya its a piece of work. We plan on fixing it up and staying in it for awhile. If we get this house it will be our 12th move since we have been married (6 1/2 yrs) and we keep saying we are gonna settle down but along comes another flip and another chance to pay off debt. We have been doing really well not accruing anymore debt since we decided to start paying things off 3 years ago. We have paid off Seans student loans, our Lincoln Navigator along with other misc. credit cards and loans. We still have a little bit to go and one more flip would do it but I think the place we offered on could be a fun place for us to fix up and live. Anyway, we'll see. I thought I would post some pictures since thats what the people want to look at. This first picture is the day we met John and Kaylin and took them home. What a crazy day that was. The car ride home was a little surreal and I'm sure not just for us.
Seeing their room for the first time. Don't they look so little.

Catching up

So to catch up a little- We have 4 kids! Jase and Jayda are our bio children and John and Kaylin are our foster children. We have had them for 15 months and they are STILL NOT legally free and ready to adopt. I could write for an hour on the faults of our social system but no use harping on something I have no intention of trying to change. We just play our cards as we go. Sean lost his job August 4th. Again I could write for an hour about Seans boss, however, I could not do it without writing an hours worth of naughty words. Sean is now the Manager of Product Services at the new Lowes here and we are very excited about him moving up. I am VERY excited about his new hours 5:30-2:30. I can leave the kids with him anytime and go do whatever I want. The whatever I want mostly consists of Safeway and Wal-mart but at least I don't have forty grubby fingers grabbing everything in the store and insisting they absolutely have the have that gift card because "it has a puppy on it." So on to catching up another day.
