We have been eating up the holidays at our house. I feel like I'm 5 years old again I'm SO excited for Christmas. Brinklee's enthusiasm is so contagious and she has made Christmas even more joyous this year. This is our little photo shoot in front of the Christmas tree. I couldn't stop laughing at Bridger in this Santa outfit. Brinklee is holding "Hershey." She is our magical elf that was sent to our house from the North Pole. She sits high up on the shelf in our house and flies back to the north pole every night to report how good Brinklee has been to Santa that day. Then she flies back by morning and is always sitting in a new spot for Brinklee to find that morning. It's really fun.

Snow Day!
Today was a great day. This is one of those moments I will remember forever. I have been waiting for it to snow so that we could take Brinklee to play in it because I knew she would love it. We woke up this morning to a surprising blanket of snow outside. We got ready for church, went to church, came home and threw on our gear. At first I hesitated because I knew I only had a half hour and then I HAD to start making dinner so Cody could eat before he went to work. I thought that all the work of getting the stuff out and putting it on would be kinda a hassle for only that short amount of time and almost didn't do it. Then I thought, this is probably my only shot because I just put Bridger down for a nap, after dinner he'll be awake and then it will be dark, so I did it. I am so grateful that I didn't pass up on this opportunity to be with Brinklee. We had SO much fun and I was taken back to my childhood as I spun her around, we tackled each other in the snow, laughed and laughed, taught her how to make snow angels and snowballs, laughed some more etc. I hope I remember this and never pass up the things that matter most.

It's been FOREVER since I've posted. It's so much faster for me to post onto face book that I have neglected my blog. Sorry! Here's a little brief update about what's been going on around our house lately. I couldn't wait a day longer to put up my Christmas stuff. I did wait a week longer than last year. I put my stuff up a week after Halloween. It's been so much fun because Brinklee is SO excited about everything and Bridger is curious as ever. We're counting down the days for Christmas!

Tis the season at our house! Brinklee was bouncing off the walls as we decorated for Christmas. Then we put a tree in her room and she decorated it all by herself. This is the tree topper she made for it. Beautiful!

"Flintstones, meet the Flintstones..." Halloween was fun as always this year. Brinklee was pure entertainment going trick-or-treating with. She would knock on the door and if they didn't open immediately she walked right in and said said "can I have some candy?" ha ha so fun. This is her karaoke 'ing' at my work party in front of over a hundred people. Didn't even phase her, we couldn't get her off the microphone. She sang 6 songs!

I took our yearly fall pictures. I love how they turned out. We had fun playing in the leaves. The pile was enormous this year.

Aladdin at dance class. I love Brinklee's face in this picture. This is her excitement always. Then we carved pumpkins, it's awesome to see the difference between girls and boys. Brinklee didn't like her hands getting messy, Bridger couldn't get enough of it.

We celebrated Cody's 26! Officially entering the upper 20's and he's whining about it pretty bad. I'll remind him of this when he turns 50. Our days of warm weather are officially over. We enjoyed them as best as we could and now we're stuck inside. Brinklee still goes to dance class and is the cutest thing to watch ever! This is them during "Sleeping Beauty" week. They are all sleeping because they pricked their finger on the spinning wheel. Then their teacher blows kisses and they jump up. Adorable.
