Anniversary Adventure-Day 4 & 5- Cruise time and St. Thomas

Sunday we spent the morning relaxing at the beach in front of our condo before it was time to check out and head to the ship.

We picked up Chad and Erin from their hotel on the way, and got on the ship pretty quick. It was awesome to see all our friends, and let the party get started. We were having so much fun that I forgot to take any pictures once we were on board. After we went to dinner a few of us went to the deck party by the pool for some dancing, that just got us warmed up, so we went to the club and danced pretty late.

Our first stop was St. John. After breakfast we grabbed a taxi to Crown Bay Marina where we took a ferry to Water Island.

There was a little bus that picked us up and drove us to Honeymoon Beach. It was so pretty and hardly anyone there. Everyone from our group went and it was a great way to start the cruise.

We hung out at the beach...

and did some snorkeling.

We got back on the ship and cleaned up for dinner. They brought us a special cake for dessert to celebrate our anniversary.

After dinner we went to the comedy club then the piano bar, which is always fun.

The welcome aboard show ended just outside the piano bar, so we followed the party to the club and danced some more before bed.

Anniversary Adventure -Day 3- Puerto Rico

Happy Anniversary to us! 17 years looks pretty good on us. I love my man, I love our life, and I love the family that we have built.
Todd, Kristen, Tommy, and Jaime got in last night so we made plans with them to go zip lining in the El Yunque rain forest.

Our zipline tour guides were awesome. We told them that we were going to go explore the rain forest we were done, and not only did they tell us about a great local spot, but drove there so we could follow them. It was a great spot with a rope swing. Most of us didn't want to get in the cold water, but Rob couldn't resist.

Next, we went to the trail to hike to the waterfall. The hike was beautiful!

And the views driving back down were great too. We had to pull over to get a picture.

We were craving those amazing arepas from the kiosks, so that was our next stop.

We had heard about some amazing pina coladas, and I was so happy to have found the right place.

That night we met up with Scott, Jen, Charlie and Autumn to go to the Bio-luminescent Bay.

It was one of the coolest things we have ever done. You kayak through a tunnel of mangroves to get to the bay and the closer you get, the more the water starts to light up.

I was so sad that my camera couldn't capture the glow in the water, it was truely incredible! Rob couldn't resist, and "fell" in the water.

After we got back we went to their hotel and hung out in the hot tub. It was such an amazing day, and we are just getting started!

Anniversary Adventure- Day 1 & 2- Puerto Rico

Rob and I have wanted to cruise out of Puerto Rico for a long time. When we found out that our friends Scott and Jen wanted to do the same cruise, we started planning one together. We started inviting more friends to join us and before we knew it we had a group of 30 people coming with us! We have amazing friends. Since we had originally planned this for our anniversary, we decided to get to Puerto Rico a couple of days early so we could have a few days to ourselves. We took a red eye flight and got into Puerto Rico at lunch time. After getting our rental car we were looking for some good local food. We had read that the kiosks near where we we staying was a good place to go. It had a ton of little food stands all lined up and we were trying to figure our how we could possibly know which to choose. When we walked past Wepa-Arepa it had the longest line, so we decided on eating there. It was soooo good! We plan on going back for sure.

We got to our condo that we are renting for a few days and couldn't believe the view from our room. It was even better than we thought!

We got our swimsuits on and went to explore the beach right in front of our place. We were pretty tired from our flight so we just hung out on our balcony the rest of the evening and enjoyed the view.

The next day we were determined to drive around and explore the entire island. We had looked up a few beaches to visit, but we also just stopped at any that looked good on the way. Our first stop was one of those beaches. We pulled over and walked out to the beach. Every place we stopped at was beautiful little to no one there!

We made it back to our condo after dark. It was such a fun, adventurous day. It was great to be spontaneous and just drive.

Grand Tetons National Park/Jackson Hole

We left Yellowstone today and made our way to the Tetons. We only had half a day to explore the park a bit, but it was still great.

We came up on Jenny lake and parked the car and found a trail that went along the lake.

We thought it would get us down to the lake but we had to blaze our own trail to get down to it. We spent some time on the shore and just admired the view.

After we left Jenny Lake we found a cute little tour of an old homestead.

We had reservations to go to the Bar J Chuckwagon dinner and show that night, so Rob dropped me off to hold our spot in line and went and toured Jackson Hole with the boys. He took him to the iconic antler arches and Ethan didn't believe that they were real.

Once we got to our dinner table we had some time to wait still so we played some cards to kill the time.

We celebrated Porter's birthday and let him open his gift.

The food was great. Porter was in heaven with his ribs.

When we were planning this trip everyone told us that if we passed through Jackson Hole that we had to come to this place. Boy were they right. It was such a fun night. They put on a great show. These guys are such talented musicians. Porter said it was his best birthday ever!

After the show we drove to Idaho Falls to stay at Megan and Brian's house.
