Flower Show

Going to the Macy's Flower Show in San Francisco has been a family tradition since we were tiny little children. When I was a little girl we looked forward each year at Easter time to going downtown to see the amazing flower and beautiful plant decorations. Afterwards we would have lunch and do some shopping for Easter. This year we went with my daughter and parents and had a fantastic time!!!

Mad Hatter Tea Party

This is just an amazing Mad Hatter Tea Party table that is on display at Bloomingdale's in downtown San Francisco. I just love all the colors and combinations used. What makes this table even more spectacular is that the center rotates around slowly.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
I have not been able to set up my Easter table yet that I will have for Sunday but I hope to take pictures of it when I do on Saturday night. I plan to have it similar to my teatime table I set here, but I will serve a buffet instead of tea.
Have a very Happy Easter!!!!!
This was entered in the fabulous and beautiful blog : Between Naps On The Porch's - Tablescape Thursday. Be sure to visit, you will be very happy you did!

Curbside Appeal San Francisco Style

I like to go on walks around San Francisco. I really enjoy looking at all the work and detail that goes into making some homes here so very beautiful and special. The pictures above are from the Pacific Heights neighborhood. In the early days of San Francisco these magnifiencent homes were built to rival those of another neighborhood called Nob Hill. This neighborhood was essentially rescued from destruction in the in 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire by the sacrifice of many stately homes that were given up so that these could be saved. This part of San Francisco today is considered an architectural museum of 19th century Victorian mansions.

Visit to California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco

We recently visited the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. We took pictures of these amazing underwater aquariums. Aren't they beautiful. The last one is a picture of a Seahorse Dragon!! So delicate and unique. I would never even be able to imagine that such a creature existed upon this earth. I am glad I was able to learn about it here.
