Normally I spend hours and hours on one card, but this one came together rather quickly as I had picked so much inspiration from several challenge blogs, both for colors, layout, shape and stamps!
My New Year's resolution was (
was) to use what I already had in my stash. I must admit that I bought these papers on Tuesday, so that means it didn't even last a whole week! But I won't be too hard on myself, the stamps I used are at least 6 months. But to be totally honest, this was the first time I inked them up! But I
have used other items from the same stamp sets, so I don't feel (too) guilty about that.
DPs from My Mind's Eye, owl stamp from Inkadinkado, tree branch stamp from 7gypsies, sentiment stamp came free with a magazine. Lots of heat embossed elements: Owl with brown embossing powder, tree branch stamped with Coffee colored ink and embossed with clear powder, yellow embossing powder for the sentiment. All edges have been treated with Walnut Distress Ink. The card measures 3,5"x5,5" - a size that was really fun working with, btw!
