Sketch Saturday & Summer Milly

My entry for this weeks Sketch Saturday using the new Summer Milly stamp from Pink Gem Designs. She is one of 9 new releases and as you can see she is quite a large stamp. She is cut on the largest oval Nestie and her head is just peeping over the top!

You will need a large acrylic block to use with Summer Milly and quite a few of the other Pink Gem Design stamps which are of a good size. We now sell these on the website and they measure 100mm X 150mm (approx 4x6 inches). All the blocks have finger grooves running down the side for an easy grip. We stock the medium size too.

Milly has been coloured with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with Sansador & paper stumps. I used a beige Prisma for the skin

Thoughtful Sprinkles

Thoughtful Sprinkles is one of the 9 new summer stamps just released at http://www.pinkgemdesigns.com/ . As you can see she is a very large stamp making her excellent value......she is a dream to colour too! I have used my new Koh-i-noor pencils to colour Sprinkles except for the skin where I have used my copics. Glamour Dust added to the wings crown & stars.

Introducing Sprinkles & Sunflower

Sea Shell Mimi

I have tried a new colouring medium today.......Koh-in-oor woodless pencils. There wasn't a skin colour in the set of 24 I bought so my Copics had to help out. JUST ARRIVED AND ARE AVAILABLE FOR IMMEADIATE DISPATCH!

New Stamp Releases!

Summer milly

Our new June releases are arriving with us early than expected. So rather than keep you all waiting we have decided to release them sooner. The new stamps will be dispatched on Saturday along with any of our other stamps you may order with them.

There are 2 new Mimi stamps including 'Ice Cream Mimi' shown on the card below, 3 new Sprinkles Fairy stamps, & 3 new Milly. The one shown above is called Summer Milly. Milly is sitting on her favorite log once again! We now have the four seasons of Milly on her log. When I first designed Milly I drew her sitting on a log and called it Autumn Milly. Then Winter approached so I thought it would be fun to draw her sitting on a snow covered log so we had Winter Milly. Spring Milly followed and now Summer Milly. I think this Summer one is now my favorite from all the four Seasons. Autumn Milly & Winter Milly will be appearing again on the website towards the end of the Summer.

Sketch Saturday & Sneaky Peak

A few weeks ago I posted this photo of my little Grandaughter Mimi eating ice cream in the Easter sunshine. Some of you may remember me saying how it inspired me to do a stamp design and here is what I came up with.........

Pirate Mimi

A sample card made with Pirate Mimi available from Pink Gem Designs. This little cuite is one of our May special offers and is priced at only £2.95 The stamp is a good size being approx 78 x 64mm. As you can see she is fab in colour! I have used Ciao Copic Markers to colour the image.

Colour Create - Blue & Green

Woo Hoo!..........a card at last!

This is my entry to this weeks Colour Create Challenge The colours this week are Blue & Green with a bit of paper piecing.
Does anyone remember the old saying Blue & Green should never be seen? These colours used to be a big no, no together back in the dark ages lol
I have used Pink Gem Designs stamps Maid Milly and her baby pet dragon Dillon which can be found in the Max & Milly section of www.pinkgemdesigns.com . The images have been coloured with Ciao Copic Markers with glamour dust added to Dillon's wings and Milly's veil.

DT Call & News!!!

It's going to be an exciting time over the coming months at Pink Gem Designs with a new website, magazine articles and new summer designs to be released......phew it's all go at the minute!

We are now looking for a new DT member so if you would like to apply:-

You must have an active blog and be able to photograph and post pictures of your work.
Your colouring of stamped images must be exceptional.
As a DT member you will recieve 2 free stamps every month. All we ask in return is that you make at least two cards using the PGD stamps and post them on your blog, forums etc explaining how you made the cards.
If your interested in joining our DT please email us at pinkgemdesigns@googlemail.com telling us a bit about yourself, attach two photos of your most recent work and add a link to your blog.
The DT call will close at 6pm on Tuesday 12th May. NOW CLOSED!

Sorry I have not been around much this week but normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

I have been so busy lately with new designs, launching the new WEBSITE and checking the many DT applications.

Hopefully may get a card made today......... and some much needed housework yuk!

DT Call Update!

We have had massive response to our call for a new DT member for Pink Gem Designs. We therefore have decided to bring it to an end early. Entrants don't have to make cards especially.....just show us two examples of your most recent work. Anyone who wants to enter please send us a link to your blog as this is what we are most interested in. We need to see that the blog is active and the work is consistent.
