Bead shopping in Penang!

Bead shopping in Penang!

Just a little behind the scenes news. I have recently returned from a trip to Malaysia. We stayed in Penang and you guessed it went bead shopping. The warehouse was very hot (it was 32 degrees (thats about 90F) and about 97% humidity. The warehouse had no aircon so I look a little wilted. This photo was taken on the spur of the moment but I thought people might like to see the wall of beads behind me.

Needless to say there will be more bead soup in the shop soon.

Add zing to your embroidery with Sharon’s bead soup! Check them out in the Pintangle Shop. These bead soups are not for jewelry, I’ve selected the beads specifically for use in creative embroidery and for working in an encrusted embroidery style. The types and sizes of beads are better suited for stitching to fabric, rather than for making jewelry. With the exception of a few feature beads that you can stitch to fabric as a point of emphasis, there are not many large beads in this mix.

  1. How wonderful, dear Sharon. What a paradise, those beads hanging behind you. How many kilograms were you allowed to buy? Did you have enough space in your baggage?
