Arranging Roses

14 comments:
 after I cut
 I love to arrange
I am always tempted to buy new things
for my arrangements
but nothing says "country" like a blue firkin
or an old bucket, right?

I love to do these outside because
there is easy clean up
and lot's of space for working

my preference for arrangements is usually a bit messy looking
and I love to use lots's of the same thing
my big decision on Sunday was
where to put these...hmmmm?

bedroom?
kitchen?

 I don't have many rooms
so the choice gets narrowed down really quickly
; 0 )

they ended up on a little table
in the living room

fires in the fireplace are done
so
now we have flowers to enjoy

thank you for stopping by!

love that you do.....

lots of new things in the shop by the end of the week!

Romantic Country Roses

13 comments:

 nothing says "romance"
more than these wonderful English roses
peaking in May...this is the time that I
cut and cut and cut some more
I just can't get enough of these beauties

if you see them in your nursery I
highly recommend buying one or two

or if you have a small terrace...just put one in a pot

the fragrance and the colors are the most romantic
 and beautiful rose
 I have ever encountered

and what a great flower to share with friends

I'm sharing these with you today

my friends

best, Kelley

Vintage in the Garden

14 comments:
The wisteria covered pergola in the back of the grape orchard
is one of our new "favorite spots"
The vintage gates are getting really rusty
and I had these great old shovel's which I hung
on the ends of the support beams
 on the interior....just because

 I hung these old painted
heart cut out shutters

hey...looks like a little bird found a nice spot for a nest!

I love adding old seating and benches

and a few roosters for good measure

the last of the apples are in bloom and the bees are still busy as ever

and the English rose garden started blooming
some of the blooms are so big that the
stems fall over from the weight

and in a few more weeks the lavender garden will start blooming and be ready for picking in June and July
so tomorrow I will need to put on my grubbies
and get some work done

and finally

a huge "thank you" to every one who purchased things for the new shop
and gave me the courage to do this!

have a sunny happy weekend

xxoo
