Challenge 202 - On The Street Where You Live

Well folks another week has gone by... most of it very wet, cold and windy up here in the Highlands.... hope yours has been better wherever you are. No drout up here lol.

Thanks again for your entries last week... all super.

Last week we said goodbye to Jen (thanks again Jen) and so this week we welcome our new DT member Beryl .. here is what she has to say

'Like many crafters I started as a child with knitting, crossstitch and
crochet. I started making cards when I first got a pc in 1997, then
progressed to papercrafting in 2005 after my niece Terrie came to stay and
showed me what I could be getting up to. I love stamps and stamping - I've
collected more stamps than I'll every use probably - but it doesn't stop me
adding to my collection when I see some 'must haves'. I have made some
lovely friends through crafting, mainly after getting broadband in 2009 and
joining the 'blogging' experience. I'm thrilled to be joining Rainbow Lady's
Design Team and look forward to contributing to the coming challenges'.

Do be sure to check out her super blog as well as the other DT members blogs.

So the challenge this week is 'ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE'... and is sponsored by Laura from That's Crafty.... she is giving a super set of Dyan Reaveley stamps... woo hoo you lucky people.

So get your thinking caps on and let us see your houses....

As usual you may create whatever you fancy be it atc, card, scrapbook layout, tag, inchie, 4 x 4 - the choice is yours. As always add your creation to your blog or email me direct with the picture if you don't have a blog. Leave me a comment with a direct link to your work of art and I will pop over to have a look. Please include a link to my challenge site on your blog. Thanks and enjoy the challenge.

Now check out the fab works of art from the DT... thanks ladies.

Challenge 201... St George's Day/Patriotic/British

Wow another huge amount of entries last week... thanks so much... and for your congratulations on my 200th.

Many thanks also to the lovely Hels for being my GD.

I will post the winner of the blog candy at the end of the posting.

Now on to challenge 201.... on the 23rd April we in the UK celebrate St George's day and it is also our Grandson's birthday.... so the topic this week is St George's/Patriotic and British.  We have lots going on in the UK this year so plenty to celebrate with the Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee as well - there area lots of Union Jacks around with red white and blue everywhere... so you have plenty of scope I think.

Sadly, we are losing one of our fab team - this week will be Jen's last so many, many thanks for all your hard work and super contributions Jen... we will miss you.

Our new DT member will be revealed next week.

Now check out the fab creations from my lovely DT below and don't forget to check their blogs too to see their other works of art.

Wow it's Challenge 200.... yes really 200.... CELEBRATE WITH A TOUCH OF VINTAGE

Many thanks for all your lovely Easter offerings... they were all spectacular.
The winner will be announced lower down the post.

This week I celebrate my 200th challenge... yes really.... I started this blog off  'just for fun' to see if it would work... and thanks to all of you here I am still blogging each week.
For many weeks there was only little old me....then I decided to move with the times and get myself a Design Team... and boy oh boy what a fabulous set of crafters I have been lucky enough to work with... so thanks to all my DT members both old and new.

There are so many challenge blogs out there nowadays so I am very appreciative of all you lovely folks who enter week after week... you make me feel so happy and blessed.

There is some blog candy on offer this week to say thanks for all the fab entries over the years.... but only to those who actually enter the challenge of course.

'And what is the challenge - get on with it ??' I hear you say....well CELEBRATE
with a touch of VINTAGE is the answer.
Now for the exciting bit....
Another of my blogging and personal friends the lovely Hels had her 200th challenge last week... I was lucky enough to be her first Guest Designer all those weeks ago so I asked her to be mine for my 200th... Am I lucky or what? as Hels she said yes...woo hoo I am so honoured and delighted as she is the most talented designer I know.
It is also Hel's 200th challenge this week as well so do check out her blog too.

So get your thinking caps on, enter the challenge and maybe win the goodies below which include a fab set of Lindsay Mason clear stamps, Distress Inks from the Master himself, cards, decoupage, stickers, pens, butterflies and some super glitter glue (perfect for glittering your Christmas baubles) and maybe some other bits I may decide to throw in for good luck.

Now for those of you who have been living on another planet and don't know HELS here is a bit of info for you - but where have you been????

About Hels:
'Hels has been crafting in one form or another since she was a little girl when she used to cover herself, her Grandma and every available surface with glitter and cotton wool. She really got bitten by the papercrafting bug back in 2003 when she took up cardmaking and scrapbooking. A chance meeting with Tim Holtz in 2007 made Hels realise that her true passion lays with anything inky and stampy. She created her blog, the aptly named Ink On My Fingers (pinkleart.blogspot.com) in September 2007, and she shares snippets from her daily life along with tips, techniques, tutorials and artwork. She has been published in several craft magazines and is currently on the Craft Stamper Design Team. Hels is a Certified Ranger Educator and has been teaching workshops for the last three years and she is also a regular demonstrator at the Alexandra Palace craft show. More recently, Hels has brought her art and passion for crafting to Create & Craft TV with the wonderful Studio 490 range, that, in Hels’ own words is “the best range of crafty stash in the world”  (she even put on a Jeremy Clarkson voice when she said that!)'

Now check out Hels wonderful DT work of art and check her blog too and also the fab creations by the rest of my DT.

Challenge 199 - Happy Easter

Well, what a week we have had up here in the Highlands.... last week we broke all the heat records - this week we had SNOW.... yes really... I woke up to 7 inches of the stuff on Tuesday morning.....brrr.. back to winter we go... and it is APRIL now.

So welcome to a new challenge which is, of course, sponsored by the lovely Joanna Sheen as it is the first week of the new month.... she offers a gift voucher to one lucky winner.

Easter is with us as tomorrow is Good Friday and amongst all the eggs and chocolate I hope you will all spare time to remember the real Easter message.

So for your challenge anything connected to EASTER will be acceptable either religious or non religious.
