WOW.....White on whites.

Posted by Rajni Chawla

It's WOW this time at JustRite Friday Challenge #109

Guess what??
Whites On Whites.....only whites to be used. It was quite challenging for me as I have never tried creating anything without distress inks . Its not that I don't like whites....but its just that I love colors.

As I told u in my last few posts that I am working on lots of wedding projects these days I tried a wedding cards for the same.

White is appropriate for weddings because the unity of male and female symbolizes the unity of allness.

I tried creating different textures using heat embossing, embossing folders , layering different die cuts and off course using different papers. For this card  I combined translucent Vellum and milky white textured card stock.

For the center rosette I specially used vellum. I stamped and heat set using Seafoam White embossing powder with Justrite Lace Edges One.  I loved the lacey effect I got. For the card base I combined both A and B designs of Spellbinder's Framed Petite Labels and decorated the corners and edges using Amazing Paper Grace Corner die and Joycraft- Mid French Lily.

A little close up to show the lacy edges of the rosette. I really loved the see thru effect of the translucent vellum and white heat embossing.

Here are the pictures of the rosette that I took before fixing it to the final card base. All layered using Marianne Creatables Oval and Justrite Enjoy The Day Vintage Labels Four stamp set.

I even took few clicks with dark backgrounds.....It was my first try with whites, so was not sure about its photography.

Don't forget to visit Justrite Challenge #109 to see what other crafters have come up with.
That's all for today.

Thanks for stopping by.
