In the Shadow of the Moon
OK, so its been a long time since I posted. Neither the men or women Tarheels won the NCAA championship. The Hurricanes didn't make the playoffs. Its spring and the weather is glorious.I went to Washington D.C. with my daughter and some of her friends to see Lily Allen, who is just great.
And I went to the Full Frame documentary film festival and saw "In the Shadow of the Moon."
This is a documentary that is almost completed about the men who have walked on the moon. It is fabulous -- great interviews with the surviving astronauts (except Neil Armstrong who doesn't do interviews) and absolutely incredible footage. Its truly amazing. The filmmaker said it should have a theatrical release this fall with the DVD coming out in early 2008. Discovery Channel is in on this, so hopefully it will also be broadcast.
I also started reading the Pulitzer winner "The Race Beat" about the reporters who covered the Civil Rights Movement. Fascinating story.
