We escaped the cold at Bryce and arrived at Arches NP after traveling through Capitol Reef NP. A beautiful drive to a fantastic place
A little climbing
Delicate Arch A 1 1/2 mile uphill hike! But worth it.
Falling Arch
We made a side trip to Canyonlands NP. What fantastic views!
This doesn't begin to show the vast expanse of the park. The Green and Colorado Rivers flow through creating this masterpiece.
From there off to Monument Valley Tribal Park on the Navajo Reservation. It may look familiar if you have ever seen Stagecoach, Back to the Future III or MI 3 or the many other movies shot there.
We are currently at Glen Canyon NRA. Sorry no pictures, the wind is 40 mph and the sand is a flyin!!

Spring Adventure
We left home March 15th and headed south along the coast. After a couple days in Morro Bay to visit my Uncle and 4 days at Refugio Beach State Park we headed inland to Las Vegas.
We spent the next two weeks sitting with our two nephews Alex (5) and Nicholas (3) while Mom and Dad celebrated their 10th anniversary in the Caribbean. We had a great time and it sure brought back a lot of memories. Our last night their we went to the Elton John concert, it was great hearing all the old hits. He can still sing and definitely plays the piano great.
Then it was off to Zion National Park. Incredible mostly describes it, but not quite. Kind of like Yosemite but a narrower valley and red. We discovered a great drive outside the park which was just as beautiful, with more open views.
We are now in Bryce Canyon National Park. The high temperature the last two days was 36 degrees with intermittent snow. Today when we were at 9000 ft it was 21 deg and the wind was
blowing about 20 mph! Needless to say it didn't take us long to take in the incredible scenery!!
We will be heading to Arches NP and Canyonlands NP tomorrow or the next day. 4000 ft lower and much warmer!!!
