Coffee and wine

Since Oxford is still stubbornly rainy, we chose to have an indoor session with a slightly nostalgic, 60-ish feel to it. We took the photos at the Summertown Wine Cafe with the assistance of Adrian's very patient father.

When it was colder...

Because we are currently in two different countries (Adrian frolicking in Poland, Joanna working hard in the UK), which means that arranging photo shoots is somewhat difficult, we have decided to dig up and recycle some older pictures in lieu. These were taken in New College gardens, when the temperature was a bit lower than now.

Unfortunately Joanna's lovely 30-s style cloche hat was stolen this March, from Nuffield College. If anyone has seen a Suspicious-Looking Person wearing a similar hat, approach them and question them. Or if you would like to sell such a hat (it's from the H&M autumn 2009 collection), please contact Joanna.

Ponieważ przebywamy obecnie w dwóch różnych krajach (Adrian zabawia się w Polsce, a Joanna ciężko pracuje w UK), co ciut utrudnia organizowanie sesji zdjęciowych, postanowiliśmy odkopać i odkurzyć kilka starszych fotografii. Zrobiliśmy je w ogrodach New College, kiedy temperatura była trochę niższa niż obecnie.

Niestety piękny kapelutek-klosik w stylu lat 30stych ukradzino Joannie w marcu, z Nuffield College. Jeśli ktoś widział Podejrzanie Wyglądającą Osobę w podobnym kapeluszu, prosimy o wszczęcie śledztwa. Lub jeśli ktoś chciałby pozbyć się podobnego kapelutka (pochodzi z jesiennej kolekcji H&M 2009) powinien jak najszybciej skontaktować się z Joanną.

Adrian is using Pentax K10D with a Pentax 50mm SMC FA 1.4 lens. He tries to refrain from using strobes, but some pictures received extra fill light. Photographs have been "developed" as monochromes. He tried to simulate using old paper and toners as well as old photo techniques, hence some of them look like ambrotypes. Adrian also applied textures for the extra vintage effect.

Adrian stara się symulować efekt użycia starego papieru i tonerów oraz dawnych technik fotograficznych, stąd niektóre wyglądają jak ambrotypy. Ponadto użył dodatkowych faktur, by nadać im dawniejszy charakter.
