Rich's New Ride...

Since we recently sold my very favorite car of all time, the echo, ( sniff, sniff...see post below this one for it's tribute) Rich has been in the market for a new car. He found one he really likes, and since he's Rich, he got a pretty smokin' deal :) I'm not on here trying to say, LOOK WE GOT A NEW CAR, I'm just really happy Rich finally has a car he really likes and looks super sexy in! He was so nice to get me a new car a couple of years ago and take custody of the Echo for so long, but since Montana is not really "echo-friendly" (haha) we had to get something a little higher up with some more umph. It's an Acura MDX. I'm nervous because I'm a Toyota girl but everyone is reassuring me that Acura is a good make. So without further ado...Here is my congratulatory video tribute to Rich's latest purchase.

why I gave you up...

Dear Phil/Club Echo,
I'm sorry I had to sell you. It's just that if you would have moved to Montana with us, you would have gotten into an accident or gotten really sick and stopped running. I hope that you understand someday, why I gave you to a better home. I wanted better for you. Better than we could give you here in Montana. Your new owners are great people. Will they car surf on top of you through the streets of Provo like I did? Probably not. Will they let you bump music as loud as possible and hang out the window with a megaphone drawing lots of attention to you? Sadly, no. Will they take you up the canyon in the snow and do donuts all night? Unfortunately not. Will they get you kicked out of the MTC parking lot at 2 in the morning while you bump church hymns? Highly unlikely. Will they fill you up with 20 year old girls in shorts and stilettos screaming Gwen Stefani lyrics at the tops of their lungs? Nope. Will they run into huge piles of dirt with you (on accident)? No. But they will take good care of you and wash you and drive you and fill you up with gas. Thanks for all the good times Phil the Echo/Club Echo. A lot of good things happened in that car, some people know that better than others... :)... But seriously, thanks Dad for buying me that car, I thought of you and was so grateful for your generosity every time I put the key in the ignition, I miss you and love you! Thanks Mom, for making my payments when I couldn't (which was most of the time), thanks Rich for buying me another car and inheriting the Echo :) And thanks Phil, the Echo for being my car during one of the best times in my life! ( you may be laughing at me, but I'm seriously attached to that car...I love you Phil, wherever you are!!!!)

Mickey and Minnie are married in real life!!

Allow me to introduce Mickey and Minnie Mouse...
I'm not kidding! Their names are Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor and they have been the voice of Mickey and Minnie since 1983 (Mickey) and 1986 (Minnie). And GET THIS.... THEY ARE MARRIED IN REAL LIFE!!!! Are you kidding me?! I'm so giddy over this fact!!!! I just read all about them on Wikipedia because I've always thought Mickey MUST be a billion different voices, but no way... Wayne has been the voice of Mickey longer than anyone else since Mickey was invented! Russi is the voice of TONS of people including Hughie, Dewey and Louie on DuckTales (D-D-D-Danger! Watch behind you, there's a stranger out to find you. What to do? Just grab on to some DuckTales... WOO OOH) and those purple hair twins on the Simpsons. So I hope this little magical fact adds some magic to your next Mickey & Minnie Experience!

...As macy would say, "peety fowers"...

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

SO random, I'm not even kidding...

You know how there are always big forks and small forks and then big spoons and little spoons in a silverware set? I have no problem using big or little forks... it doesn't matter... but I HAVE to have the little spoon. So much so, that if the only thing that is clean in a big spoon, I'll use a measuring spoon instead... PSYCHO! Oh and Rich doesn't care what he uses to eat... he eats cereal with forks if that is the first thing he finds... what???
Why do we all have these funky quirks... I wonder if they are built into our brain or if a situation happened to us at one time that developed it.. I'm sure someone knows. Like
Speaking of weird... I have a friend who used to melt gummy worms and bears in an old school Tupperware plastic measuring cup before he ate them. I won't say his name but it rhymes with Quody Quorvin...

getting our feet wet....literally..

*sorry no pictures yet!*
Well, we are still here... haha. I keep thinking " What am I still doing here?" and then I remember... oh we MOVED HERE. :) It's a good thing though! Still not FULLY unpacked, but it's just the random, no fun things left to set up.... We've been checkin the place out and getting our feet wet...literally, because it snows like a mother here... everyday.
Last Saturday, Rich's boss Chuck and his girlfriend Rita has us all over for dinner. It was SO yummy, and they were SUPER nice. Rita is my hero. She writes a lot and never ever watches TV. I wish I had the will power! I was nervous to bring Macy cause, let's be honest, that chick is a wild monkey child at times, but she did great. Well minus the spitting out a bite of food onto the carpet... fabulous, right? She OBVIOUSLY cares about impressing Dad's boss. :( Speaking if impressing people, I brought 45 double chocolate cookies into Rich's work last Friday....so hopefully now they all have the idea of what I super perfect, Martha Stewart -like, housewife I am...BAH HAHAHA! I can pretend, right? But Rich said everyone liked them and there weren't any leftovers... So I guess that's a good thing! Maybe I'll make it a monthly thing??
We finally went to church yesterday and it was HILARIOUSLY fun. #1) We were late of course... 2) It's the QUIETEST ward I have ever been in my life. To all my lakeridge 7th pals, you would have died. No whispering or carrying-on allowed here ! :) 3) Of course since it was SO quiet, Macy decide to chuck Rich's wedding ring 3 pews up and it made a very loud, very echo-y "TING" sound....again, what's up with this girl and first impressions? 4) After sacrament, everyone kept coming up and asking " Are you the Knapps? We read all about you guys in the paper and how your coming from Utah and we've been looking for you for a few weeks now! " EVERYONE knew we were coming... Hello small town. It was really nice though because they were ALL SO SO SO SO nice. Everyone was giving me their phone numbers and asking for our address and phone number so that if we ever needed anything they could help. I had offers to help me finish unpacking, invitations to lunch, even hugs! They were all so kind and you can really tell there is a really strong ward family bond. There are even some kids Macy's age, and we are going to set up a fun playgroup/music time at the church! YAY! SO...we are hanging in there...adjusting well :) Pictures to come soon, as I get the internet all hooked up at the house TOMORROW! YAY!

Welcome to Montana!

We're HERE! Well kind of.. I'm actually at the White fish McDonald's, using their wifi, since we don't have internet yet :( P.S. There is a sign that says “no snowboards of ski's allowed” on the front door of McDonald's. There is also a big rack to lock up your snow gear...that's gives you an idea of what I'm working with here in Montana! I'll put up pictures and stuff when I get internet next Tuesday...
For all of you who I came to boo-hooing to about how much I hated Montana, I must confess I have had a change of heart! I came up for our interview, expecting this glamorous park city-ish place so when I got here and saw that is was more like granola, earthy, snowy, hugantic tree- filled, “kind of city” I was like WHAT THE?!?! But I really like it now and really appreciate the whole campy, fresh air, quietness of it all. We are 7 minutes from a slew of brand spankin' new stores in Kalispell and 10 minutes from Rich's work which is in downtown super quaint, Whitefish. You can actually see ski slopes from our house, if that entices any prospective visitors, eh???
Don't worry, the outside of the house we are renting still looks like an ugly shoe box with a door, but I'm IN LOVE with the inside. I LOVE LOVE it. It's so much more our style, aka “yellow based” than the apartments we've lived in before and since we are the first people to live here I know the carpet isn't full of other people's grossness. ew. There is an island in the kitchen, and Macy runs laps around it several times a day.... she gets this crazy look on her face and books it into the kitchen and starts running around it and yelling stuff like.” whoa whoa whoa” and “WHEEEE!”... Hopefully that doesn't translate into liking Nascar when she grows up. We may be living in Montana, but that doesn't mean we have to enjoy watching people with mullets drive in circles for hours on end.
Rich likes his job a lot. He's been really busy with early meetings and late meeting and tons in between, right off the bat, which gives me plenty of time alone to unpack, set up and get my shop on. :) He likes his co workers a lot, too. I want to bring them all treats on Friday, but can't decide what to make...Any suggestions? It is a bittersweet thing for him to be working again. Not working for a year really changes your perspective! Macy sometimes looks at me and goes “ Daddy?” It's cute/sad :) We are really looking forward to Saturday and Sundays now, where before EVERYDAY WAS SATURDAY! Haha.
To give you a better idea of the kind of life we are living, allow me to fill you in on the observations I've made in my 6 days here... There are NO, I repeat NO, top 40 stations here. You could not find one Pussycat Dolls, Fergie, Britney, or Justin Timberlake song on the radio if if your cute little life depended on it! However. There are THREE rock/butt rock/old man music stations and EIGHT country stations. EIGHT COUNTRY STATIONS. Which is fitting since you feel like you live IN a country song. Dogs, guns, mountains, boots, tractors, cowboys, churches...we got it all! Speaking of churches, I was telling someone before that for the last 4 years, I've been able to walk to church. Well, I still can... just not MY church. There is a church on every corner up here. I like it! Also a lot of people have been asking me if there are black people in Montana...I'm happy to report there is! About ten times the amount Utah has... so I've seen about 10 black people here :) But that is in 6 days! I think I saw ten black people TOTAL in my 5 years in Utah...
Another thing I've noticed here is that EVERYONE is nice. EVERYONE. In traffic they let you cut in even if it's REALLY backed up and busy, everyone waves to Macy, everyone you ask a question to goes OUT of there way to answer and is really really nice about. I love that about the people here. OH and NO ONE..... NOT ONE PERSON has cute shoes. They are all functional snow/hiking boot kinda shoes... I look like an idiot in my sparkly converse. I think I'm going to buy some hiking boots and a Bedazzler and bling those things out. And YES, I still wear the most makeup of anyone I've run into AND I still have the biggest hair and biggest earrings... BY FAR. You can take the girl out of the fabulous....but you can't take the fabulous, out of the girl!!! We are going to church for the first time this Sunday and I'm STOKED.

Thanks to EVERYONE who helped us move... we were SO blessed and lucky to have all of you in the moving process... there is no way I can list you all on here...but thank you notes are on their way! :) I love and miss you all! COME VISIT! Everyone is always welcome!!!

* again... pictures of the house and area to come next week when I can blog from the privacy of my own home, and not the playplace at Micky D's! :)

...lost and found...

If you ever lose anything or need some extra cash.....pack up your house. I am now officially a millionaire ( all in quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies), and I will never have to buy another bobby pin, ponytail holder, paperclip or safety pin ever again. Also, I have said " THERE IT IS!!!" more times in the last 4 days than I ever have in my whole life put together.

...what we will and won't miss...

What we will miss....

- our amazing friends and family....

- Sunday school in the foyer with the Reddings and other weekly visitors...

- walking to church...we've been within EASY walking distance to church at 4 of our last 5 apartments....

- j-dawgs, brick oven, cafe rio, Kneaders, smart cookie, Happy Sumo, and a slew of other fabulous Utah restaurants...maybe just restaurants in general?? haha.

- 4 seasons....in Montana you get only two type of weather...cold and kinda cold...

- music makers and sewing group!

- sushi at jackie chan's with the Eames...

- my OB/GYN ladies!!!!

- urban dictionary nights with Kristy and Brett...

- all the fabulous people at Cedar Hills...

- good news minute... I'm pretty sure that's a Utah relief society thing...

- the redwood drive inn, the Gateway and easy access to tons of mormon stores

- Christmas lights at Temple Square

- being able to go to conference in person

- Nordstom, Vickies, Banana Republic, Park City Outlets....all of which are non existent in Montana!!!

Well crap....now I'm depressed! So I guess I'll tell you what we won't miss!!!

- the constant mispronunciation of words....allow me to explain...

Mel instead of mail, sell instead of sale, mouw-in instead of mountain, fouw-in intead of fountain, melk instead of milk, sa-wich instead of sandwich..... I could go on forever..... although I must admit I have unknowingly adopted a few of these I'm excited to rid myself of them :)

- SHARING WALLS WITH PEOPLE! i.e. our super loud neighbors with a SUPER loud and active "love" life.

- zoobies, zoobies, zoobies....everywhere. :)

- dirty high chairs at restaurants....out of Utah the high chairs are squeaky clean...YAY!

As you can see my things we won't miss are pretty far fetched :) So I guess that proves we've had a fabulous time here in Utah... We really, really love it here and will miss so many things but we really are SUPER excited to start this new chapter in our lives! :) YAY!

p.s. we haven't purchased a home, even though my last post maybe sounded like that? We are renting a house for a few months...which we are thrilled about... while we work with a realtor to find the perfect little house for us! :)

...guess where we're moving to...

That's right...we are headed to Big Sky Country!! Whitefish, Montana to be exact, which is a resort town/second home community of 7,000 regular residents and tons of seasonal residents that they call the front porch of Glacier National Park. (pictured above, and p.s. our house really isn't right there, haha ) Rich has been hired as the Assistant City Manager and Finance Director for the city of Whitefish, and we are really excited for his new position. We are freaked, excited, nervous, sad and happy ALL at the same time. We are so sad to leave the family and friends and "Big City" conveniences here in Utah, but are excited to be stepping out on this crazy adventure together! I called our soon to be bishop's wife to ask her about the area and the church there, and she gave me all positive feedback. The funny part is when she asked where I was from. I answered Las Vegas...she gave a huge pause and finally said, " Well, it's quite different here, so get excited!" haha. Another story I find a hilarious is when we went there to interview, an adorable women came up to me and complimented me on my purse, and asked " Did you get that at Ross??" to which I replied, "No, I got it at Guess in Park City, UT." She gave me a confused look and goes, "Oh that's nice...what's Guess??" OH BOY....they are in for a shocker, cause I'm gonna get those ladies up outta Whitefish and take them shopping for fabulous bags and big earrings!!! You can all rest easy knowing they do have a Target, Costco, McDonald's that has Diet Dr. Pepper on tap, all the fast food joints you could think of, a ton of quite a few grocery stores, a gym and aquatic center, nice library, and a brand new hospital and birthing center. :) So...it's not COMPLETELY in the sticks. Although when we went to look at our new house, I did see fresh moose and deer hooves prints and a few really big paw prints...FREAKY.... the best part of the whole thing is you can fly to Vegas from their airport, round trip for $90!!! Holla!!!! :) There are tons of ski resorts in the super long winter and Glacier National Park is packed full of amazing-ness for when it's warm outside!!! COME VISIT ANYTIME! We have a guest room, so you're ALWAYS WELCOME!!!! WISH US LUCK!

leave this chick alone!

Can we PLEASE change our focus of attention when it comes to this poor women?!? Is it crazy to have a billion kids when you can't pay your house payment?! Probably. Is she filling some Angelina Jolie Wanna Be void thing...sure. Should she spend less money on botox for those lips and more on diapers...YES.... BUT THE KIDS ARE HERE. We can't send them back, and I doubt we would if we could. I just really want people to stop pointing their fingers in blame and judgement and start extending a helping hand and smile and a friendly "How can we help?" This woman is clearly unstable and this constant media scrutiny and judgement is having a lot more of a negative impact than having to share a room with 5 siblings....LET'S HELP...Thanks for listening to this not funny blog. :)

...Montana Roadtrip Pictures...

We recently took an 11 hour roadtrip to Montana and Idaho. While we were there we visited Glacier National Park, Idaho Falls Temple, Flathead Lake, and of course... the hotel pool :) I also lost my super fabulous purse in Missoula...with my camera, Ipod, wedding ring, and wallet INSIDE...After back tracking my every step someone had turned it in, with EVERYTHING still there, at Target.. :) THANK GOODNESS!! Enjoy the cuteness of my husband and kid :)

a little irreverent...

We are still on our big Montana/Idaho road trip, hence the lack of blogs, however I saw this little piece of hilariousness and couldn't wait to get home to share... This license plate cover takes the cake!! I blurred the number so I didn't get sued or whatever :) I asked Rich if I could get one and he doesn't think it would go over well in the beehive state :)

sorry so long....

I know it's been forever.... but I have nothing to blog about!!! But just so I'm not officially labeled as a blog slacker... I fill you in on a few things...

A couple of nights ago rich and I were in bed just talking before we turned out the lights, and I swear, mid conversation, Rich says..."kellie, what would you do if you woke up in the middle of the night and I looked like this..?" and then he proceeded to make this face....( I took it from a laying down perspective so I could get the most out of it :)

I swear it was the funniest thing ever... I died laughing and then ran to get the camera so I could capture this moment forever.... haha. I told him I'd just start punching and kicking him cause I'd be so scared... FREAKY RICH. ( side note...Macy just looked at my computer and saw Rich's picture and shook her head in disapproval and said "oh no!! (big pause) daddy?")

Also... I have no idea where the crap I have been, but I decided watch the season premier of The Amazing Race, last night. DUDE..... I'm in LOVE with this show. I've never laughed so hard in my life and this challenge they had to do with hauling huge wheels of cheese down a muddy hill, and I was freaking out majorly when they had to bungee jump off the tallest dam in the world.... I just LOVE THIS SHOW!!! It's crazy cause it's like season 14...Where have I been??? I fully intend to watch this from now on, so if you are a fan...Let me know so I have people to yap about the show with!!!

Last but not least I need to give a shout out to my mom.... She has been so kind and generous to us, well for my entire life, but lately it has just really touched me how giving she is of her time and space and emotions and money. So thanks Mom, you know what you do for us and we REALLY hope you know how much we love and appreciate you.

...shake it Moo, shake it....

So Macy has picked her very favorite song... Beyonce "Single Ladies". The second she hears this song come on she starts wiggling and gettin' down. Friday we caught some of the hot action on our camera, so I decided to take a shot at editing and combining all the footage into one lil two minute movie... so here it is. My very first, VERY amateur, attempt at a short film :) I'm not gonna lie, a lot of it is probably only interesting to us and aunts and grandparents, but in the middle of the video you get a hilarious white boy show brought to you by the oh-so-talented Rich.

...tasty treat...

I LOVE fun tips... I love finding out new spins on old things, or tips on how to make good things even better. THIS is why I'm friends with Kristy Denney. This chick is ALWAYS coming up with these awesome yummy, smart, or cool helpful tips. The latest and greatest one, in my opinion, is the YUMMY and FREE and ZERO calorie treat she taught me how to make... When you are at a restaurant, order a water with two lemon wedges...squeeze all the juice from the two lemons into your water and then add 3 packets of splenda.... side note, Kristy taught me this at Applebee's where the glasses are semi large, so you may want to scale up or down depending on the size of the glass... It's SO yummy! It's a not too sweet, not too sour, free, zero calorie YUMMY drink! :) WHOO HOO! Thanks Kristy Lou!!!

...I have been de-funk-tified...

I can dance. I CAN dance. I HAVE RHYTHM!!! At least I thought I did. Stay tuned for the explanation...

I have taken a pretty aggressive approach to getting my big 'ol mom butt in shape and have big plans to be semi-skinny and quite athletically svelte by May. French fries and chicken fingers are NO FRIEND OF MINE! So, today I head to the gym to sweat off some of this fabulousness in a step class. You guys... I WAS RIDICULOUS.. what the H has happened to me?? I was once a wanna be sista, rump-shakin, beat- bumpin, funk machine...and now I'm the freakin funky chicken. All the chicks in the class were following along like it ain't no thang and I'm lost beyond belief...I finally gave up after 40 embarrassing minutes of being off beat. As I headed for the door, the instructor, who is my friend, LOUDLY asks on her little spunky microphone "Kellie, where you goin??" all I could do is yell " I SUCK" and dart our the door... boo freakin hoo...

Flashback Friday....I stole a chicken...

I like when other people do Flashback Friday's on their blog, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Plus it's a good way to get my old pictures scanned, eh??? So for my PREMIERE of "Flashback Friday" I will start with a doozie... I was thinking about this yesterday and laughing my butt off in the car...

Once upon a time I stole a chicken. A REAL LIVE chicken. I was 20, crazy, and obviously above the law. :) My two super hot friends Funny and Shag we my partners in crime and for that I will always love them!!! We knew this guy with a chicken coop in his backyard, so after dinner one night we got all dressed in black with dark makeup and then blasted crazy kid rock music all the way to the street where the infamous chicken coop was. We parked our car about 5 houses down and snuck through peoples yards all until we got to this guys yard...we literally army crawled past open windows and sprinted down this hill to where the chicken coop was. We stood outside the coop for a good 10 minutes hiding in the bushes while we saw lights flipping on and off in the house. Not to mention, laughing hysterics because our silly idea had actually turned into reality and we were now hiding in someones back yard about to steal their livestock. One of my favorite parts of the night is when my friend, Funny, got really mad because we all (including her) couldn't stop laughing and get down to business. She was whisper yelling at us " Girls!!! We are in someones backyard, dressed in black!!! This is scary...GRAB THE CHICKEN!" So all the sudden my friend Shag goes full speed ahead into the coop...we hear an ERUPTION of bocking and clucking and then 2 seconds later she comes running out clutching this poor defenseless chicken and yells RUN!!!!! So we book it back to the car, set the chicken in the trunk, and put the peddle to the metal. We ended up just hanging out with the chicken for a while...then we surprised a bunch of our guy friends by throwing open the door to their apartment, while they were on the couch watching tv, and tossing the chicken into their living room. I have yet to see something that compares to the looks on their faces as they jumped up on the couches and started yelling... hahaha. I'm laughing so hard in real life right now!! haha. At the end of the night.... we took the chicken back home and I'm sure he had tons of stories to tell all his little chicken friends about his wild night out on the town... I haven't stolen...well more like borrowed...any fowl feathered friends since and I don't plan to ever come out of retirement :) (please notice my black O.J. simpson gloves grasping the chicken... mama din't raise no fool, okay???? I'm not about to leave my prints on that chicken!!)

...big foot...

Fun times.... For our anniversary we went to Ruby River, while our FABULOUS friends watched Macy (thank you Holly and Jeff) and then we went indoor black light miniature Golfing, where we tied at an even score of bad. :) Then we took these super fun pictures you see here to the left. <-- However the hot action REALLY started once we got home. And it's not what you are thinking :) We decided to watch American idol with Holly and Jeff and the let the babies run around and play. So we're are sitting there watching some awful singer and I was sticking my foot in this big empty cracker tub that Macy likes to carry her little toys around. Well I stuck my foot in there and I kinda pushed hard just to see what would happen, and then my hugantic foot got stuck. Like REALLY stuck. I hate drawing attention to my ginormous feet... but this was just too crazy not to share. Rich didn't believe me that my foot really was stuck, in fact he later told me he thought I was faking just to have something to write on my blog...WHAT?? I can't make this crap up!!! So... after a few minutes of hypothesizing, we decided, much to my dismay, to use the freakin sharp scissors to cut me loose....observe the drama.....Side note... Macy was FREAKING OUT. I don't know if she cared about my foot or her precious cracker tub, but either way she wanted that thing OFF my foot.... it was sad/cute.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my super fly husband of THREE years today! :) I LOVE HIM! He is my very best friend and I could have not designed a better husband. This is why I love him...

1.He puts up with every part of my crazy, nut-case, wacky self, and does it with a smile on his face...well maybe not ALWAYS a smile... but at least not a frown :)

2.He let's me go off on crazy tangents, he rolls with my constantly changing ideas and plans, and he knows when I'm freaking out majorly I just need a diet dr pepper, a cookie, a visit to target and a phone call to my bff Funny and I'm fine! :)

3. He cleans the kitchen and bathroom floor and matches and puts away the socks ( two things I refuse to do )

4. He dances when he eats yummy food and talks/sings/ acts like a member of star trek in the shower..

5. He thinks my calves are hot and not manly :)

6. Last but not least he is a WONDERFUL dad. He is Macy's best friend and has never once done anything but love her with everything he has. and THAT is hott. :)

I could go on for years, but I'll save you all a mushy lovey dovey overload...I LOVE YOU RICH! :)

hey there lady, I think you just got schooled...

Tonight, I made a no kid, no husband visit to Target (cue the Mormon tabernacle choir singing Hallelujah). So I'm walking down the cereal isle to grab our very favorite cereal, Target brand golden grahams of course, and I see a little girl sprinting circles around her mom's cart. I'm guessing that the girl was about 5ish and I giggled cause I had flashbacks for grocery shopping with my mom at that age and driving her nuts, and then cringed at the thought of grocery shopping with MY child when she is that age. :) Anyways... so the little girl is sprinting around the cart and accidentally knocks two boxes of cereal off the shelf. So her mom, looking and sounding fabulously frazzled says, and I quote " Britney! You are pissin' me off. If you don't cut the crap, you are gonna be a sad little girl" I immediately averted my eyes, cause this lady was reeeeally mad. I walked by kind of fast just in time to hear sweet sweet little Britney say...again I QUOTE " Mom, I don't think think that's how Jesus would talk to me, do you??" um....WHAT? I basically broke into a sprint at that point just in time to turn the corner and die of laughter right in the middle of the store. WWJD ya'll!!!!

The rest of SoCal...

Since our trip to California was super quick, we didn't have much time to do anything besides the land of Disney :) HOWEVER we did, of course, make time for a quick stop at one of our favorite restaurants RUBY'S on the way out of town, and the beach to look around and have some fun! :) We made it out to the Ruby's on Huntington Beach Pier, which is my favorite Ruby's ever. It has the best view of the ocean and even though it was a foggy and overcast day, it was still really fun to enjoy the view and let Moo run around on the pier...
Ahhh!! :) Yum.
View from Ruby's...

Yummy Food...Hot Husband....Good Times

Macy's likes Ruby's too

...But she likes dad's finger better....yes..those are bite marks on Rich's finger compliments of Macy

Having fun being silly!!

Happiest Birthday on Earth....

So did you know EVERYONE gets into Disneyland for FREE on their birthday for the entire year of 2009?? Rich did. So we went. :) That's right the hottest red head on earth turned 32 this week. OH SNAP. So we decided to celebrate for FREE in the happiest place on earth..We got a sick crazy awesome deal on a swanky hotel near the park and of course 3 of us enjoyed our visit for the price of one, as both of my red heads got in FREE. (They don't charge for kids under 3....whooppee!) For those of you who think we are loco in the cabasa for taking a 14 month old to Disneyland, I say to you...callate la boca!!! Macy had a BLAST. We didn't ride the biggies, but we make to D-land once a year anyways, so it was really fun to just relax and ride all the little fun stuff. Macy was so happy and fun all day and loved EVERYTHING. Her very favorite was Mickey's house and of course meeting Mickey, Pooh, and Tigger... I though she was going to have a stroke when she saw Pooh. Even now when she watches the video she FLIPS out and waves and blows him kisses. She also LOVED the Finding Nemo ride. Pirates of the Caribbean made her a little nervous ( as you can see later in the pictures) but we made it out alive without a hint on tears or screaming. And since Macy flirts and socializes with anyone regardless of their age, race or gender, she made about a million friends all over the park and pretty much stole the show in the tiki room with her moon walking and kiss blowing and dancing. Rich got his own share of attention because on your birthday they give you an " It's my birthday" pin, that I forced him to wear and all the live long day EVERYONE yells HAPPY BIRTHDAY as you walk by.. SO fun. :) Macy had a "1st Visit" pin that we pinned to her back, too. :) It was a much needed super fun get away and I'm so glad we could celebrate Rich's birthday is such a fun way!! Enjoy the pictures! :)
View from our hotel...that's right... it's a Target.... could my life BE any better? haha. :)
Liking this big girl bed better than the pack and play FOR SURE! She is SO Rich's kid in this picture.. I LOVE IT. :)

Don't worry... Macy's just racking up a $124 bill at the mini bar...and yes that is a bottle of Jack Daniels in her hand... I looked like an idiot later, trying to explain to the front desk that my ONE year old took those bottles... grr... We locked it after this....
Mom and Moo on Dumbo...LOVED this one...Gettin' artsy in the back of the castle... So excited for the Jungle Book Tour...This picture cracks me up... obviously right before naptime :)She literally wanted two of everything...that's my girl :)A little nervous in Pirates of the Caribbean.... this picture is so sad/cute.... This picture includes almost everything i love :)Rich being Rich...and i love it... this lady was laughing so hard at rich when he was posing for this picture :)Our tickets and the red head's buttons :)

I'll be sure to post the rest of CA a little later:)
Happy Birthday Rich! :) We love and we are so happy we got to celebrate with you in Disneyland! :)

today.... I flipped someone off...

***(Dear Bishop R...please do not read this post...you will only be disappointed in me for being a bad example and that is never a good a thing especially since you put me in charge of teaching freshly baptized 8 year olds :))

Never in my life have I ever SERIOUSLY flipped someone off... today, that all changed. I was in the car....in the rain...in the st george, Gorge....at night....in the dark.... right smack in between a semi truck and a wall....and the semi starts merging into our lane ALMOST into our car. A super insane rage/fear feeling hit me like a ton of bricks and my pretty lady-like little finger flips this poor sighted trucker the bird. I had an immediate attack of consciousness / embarrassment and I said " Rich, I just flipped this guy off" in my best guilty 5 year old voice. I still feel bad... but I was really really scared. And my freakin baby was in the car and that changes everything don't you think???

Also, another fun and exciting road trip story.... We were 20 miles north of Fillmore and I look up just in time to see a speed limit sign that says 'SPEED LIMIT 80'.....Now in your little minds eye please picture my super hot red headed husband WIDE EYED AND SHAKING WITH JOY as he proceeds to say the following....p.s. this is a direct quote because I thought it was so hilarious I text it to myself to be able to accurately recount what was said....

(rich asks incredulously)....KELLIE DID YOU SEE THAT???

(kellie) ...yes I did it says you can go 80

(rich...still wide eyed and talking very fast and excitedly) KELLIE THAT MEANS I CAN GO 90!! ( pause) I have the chills! This is orgasmic!!! ( pause ) Man... I LOVE America...I love Utah!!! This would NEVER happen in Washington!

My baby's daddy is HILARIOUS...

New Year's Rockin Eve...

This year, New Years was a fun filled family affair.....Allow me to introduce you to my 3 dates... except I only ended up kissing ONE at midnight... I'll let you guess which one :)

Macy attended the event, although she pooped out at 10.... However she insisted on getting all gussied up for the festivities. :) It just happened to be our very first dress up session, and she is one hot mama if you ask me ...( don't mind her adorable scratchy red and puffy face, she was battling a NASTY cold) I love her.

The night consisted of massive consumption of junk food, 15 cut throat, moon shootin', rounds of hearts, a serious guitar hero battle and of course dick clark and robbie knevil jumping the mirage... GOOD TIMES WITH THE FUN FAMILY.... :)
