Ok, so Robbie accuses me of using this blog to make fun of him, so I guess I will! Some of you know that Robbie is the king of one car accidents, I've never met anyone who has hit more objects than he has. Here are just those I remeber:
1. A tree
2. Rolled his Jeep
3. Hit a snowbank
4. Hit a cinderblock
5. Hit a garbage can
6. Hit a ditch (yes, it was deeper than he thought!)
7. A deer
8. A garbage can (again and this time pushed it into the garage)
9. A chipmunk
Well, about a week or so ago he had his first two car accident. I wasn't sure if I should congratulate him for finally getting in a legitimate collision or be upset because once again it involved the Subaru's bumper and I was afraid we'd have to fix it....again!
So here's the story. He was driving downtown and the car in front of him was slowing down to go around a corner, well Robbie slowed down too and everything seemed fine. Then, all of the sudden the guy slams on his brakes and turns into the Exit Only driveway for a bank. Needless to say, the Subaru's soft brakes did not stop the car in time, so BUMP...he hit an old car with elderly gentlemen driving. So, Robbie, being the responsibile person he is, pulled into the bank behind the gentleman and was getting out of the car to talk to him. As the gentlemen got out of his car he had papers in hand and Robbie thought, oh great, insurance is going to have to be involved! Then Robbie was walking up to talk to him when the old man just went inside the bank. Robbie looked at the cars and there was no damage, to be fair it was a small bump. Robbie's next thought was, I should tell him I hit his car.....then he decided if there's no damage and the guy didn't know he was hit, why confess. So, that's right....Robbie's first two car accident was a hit and run....I'm so proud!

Two Month Check Up
McKinley went in for her 2 month check up today (she's 10 1/2 weeks old now!). She is 24 inches long and weighs 12 pounds! She's getting so big, I can't believe it! She was a pretty good sport, of course she cried when she got her shots and it was the saddest cry I've ever heard, but it didn't last long. Here's a picture of our growing little girl after her appointment...she's already smiling again!
I'm going to brag a little
Ok, so I've made some huge accomplishments since I came home from the hospital, not to brag or anything. :) I started physical therapy this week and now every day I walk on the treadmill at a pace of 1.6 miles per hour for 6 whole minutes...can you believe it! Oh, and embarassingly enough, I'm TOTALLY WORN OUT after my 6 minute ordeal. I can also walk with a walker all on my own and my left leg can extend completely straight out from my knee, my right leg isn't as good, but it's coming along. I go up the stairs unassited, though Robbie is always on the downhill side of the stairs in case of a fall and I can walk down the stairs with minimal assistance. The numbness is still totally crazy and not really improving yet, but that's ok, with time it will come back too...or so they tell me! :) Anyway, I just wanted to brag, I hope everyone who reads this has something to brag about too, I would LOVE to hear it!
She Looks Like What?
So, the time of day Robbie says he loves best is when he goes in McKinley's room in the morning to get her up for the day. He's always telling me how cute she was when he went in. Well, the other he decided to take a picture so I could see what I was missing. As he was bringing in the camera to show me the picture he said, oh yeah and "I can't quite decide if she looks like an Oompa Loompa or MC Hammer". That's right, Robbie thinks she resembles one of those two things. Take a look at the picture below...I think maybe she's an Oompa Loompa (because of the short legs) wearing Hammer pants!

McKinley's Baby Blessing
Last Sunday we blessed McKinley, it was such a special day. She was a very good girl and didn't even cry, I was so proud! We had some friends and family over for dinner afterwards...I had no idea our house could hold that many people! Thank heavens people don't mind being a little squished! Thanks to everyone who came out, it was so nice to have you all there! Anyway, being the stellar mother that I am I only got ONE picture. I know, can you believe it? So, here it is and I have to admit, I don't look that great!
New Job and More School
We are so excited for Robbie right now. He started a new job a few weeks ago and seems to really enjoy it, plus his commute has been cut in half! He also got into his Masters Program for School. Congratualtions Robbie, we're so proud of you!
4th of July Weekend
Ok, so I will start of by saying, sorry there aren't any pictures. Between Me, the wheelchair, the walker, McKinley, the car seat, the stroller, the diaper bag, the bouncer and the pack n play, we seemed to forget the camera! We had a great 4th of July anyway.
We went up the canyon and had a barbeque with the biggest stakes ever! Seriously, I've never had a stake that was so huge. The guys played horseshoes and McKinley and I hung out in the shade. It was such a beautful day.
We spent the rest of the weekend with Robbie's brothers and sisters and parents too (we were having a Loomis Family Reunion). It was a lot of fun to catch up with everyone and we found out we another neice or nephew on the way (congrats again Laura and Tim). Overall it was a great weekend and next time you see Robbie, you should ask him about moving the piano...it was crazy!
