Easter 2011

I love Easter. I love the focus on our Savior and his Atonement and Resurrection. I love knowing that we can live with our families forever in the presence of our Heavenly Father if we apply the atonement in our lives. I love spending time with family during this special holiday!

Saturday, Kathleen put on an amazing dinner with the cutest table settings ever! She is the best hostess and cook. It was so fun to have Emily and Jared in town and of course just as fun to see all the cousins together for the egg hunt.

Easter Sunday, we had a yummy dinner with my family and afterwards hid baskets and did egg hunt number 3. I love hiding Clarks basket, and hve even more fun watching him search high and low for it. My mom decided to put cotton candy in some of the eggs this year. When she first told me about it, I thought she was a little crazy, but it actually turned out to be really fun and Clark LOVED finding it in his eggs! Kurt wandered around per usual and wondered what all the hustle and bustle was about. He loves to give hugs to his little cousins and is such a little lover boy...except when you try to hold him. He is busy busy busy and we can hardly keep track of the little man.

Celebrating my Birthday at the Drive-in

Im feeling good about this 26th year! I had a fabulous birthday which included finding sweet notes from Rob around the house all day, going to lunch with great girlfriends, dinner at Joe's BBQ with my 3 boys, and seeing Rio at the drive-ins! I have been wanting to go to the drive-ins FOREVER, and my wish finally came true:) We had so much fun and the boys loved it! We borrowed Rob's dad's truck and threw an air mattress, pads, blankets, and pillows in the back-I felt like the princess and the pea. Happy Birthday to me.

Saturday on the Boat

Saturday, we took the boat out to Lake Saguaro and invited Mike, Melissa and cousin Parker to come along. We had so much fun spending the afternoon out on the water! Clark was, of course, in heaven and loved getting his head dunked in the water. The water was a little chilly, but after Rob ran Kurt, Clark, and myself into a tidal wave at the front of the boat, we decided we might as well get in since we were already drenched. Clark and Rob swam out to the rocks while we stayed on board and dipped the baby's toes in...Parker was not a fan, but Kurt didn't even seemed phased. I just realized that the babies aren't wearing life jackets in any of the pictures, but I promise they wore them 99% of the time. You see, in order to get a happy picture, the jackets had to come off, because while in the jackets, they were not too happy. I should have gotten a picture, they were and looked totally uncomfortable. It was so fun to be at the lake. We are excited to go back and get in some tubing and wake boarding. Until next time...

Sunday Adventure Drives

Sunday afternoons, after church, we usually load up in Rob's car and go on a "adventure drive" . Our drives most often lead to the desert. On this particular Sunday it had rained and the desert was especially beautiful and smelled so good! The boys love these car rides and gibber jabber in the back the whole time!

Robs 28th Birthday

April 6, we partied to celebrate Rob's 28th birthday....woohoo! Rob has accomplished quite a lot in his 28 years and I am especially lucky to celebrate the rest of his birthdays with him. We had a fun date night out at Iruna, a really yummy restaurant with food from Spain (Rob's mission). It was so fun, but then again it is always fun with Rob. After, we came home with the boys and had Robs usual birthday "cake" request, Nielsons custard in an Oreo pie crust.

Skate'n with Scooby

Sunday, after a wonderful conference, we decided to go for a little stroll with the family. I was in my parents garage looking for a bike or scooter for clark to ride, when I happened upon the good 'ol Scooby Doo roller skates my family has had FOREVER. It must have been fate because 1, Clark loves ScoobyDoo and 2, they were his exact size. Needless to say, Clark has been in skate heaven ever since we rediscovered the roller skates and asks to roller skate every 15 minutes.
