Trying to stay Cool!!

Even though today was lovely I am really done with the heat and humidty. It looks like it will be back in a few days yuck!! Yes I love my cool weather! I have managed to get some stitching in:

I am happy with my progress. It still amazes me that when you step away from it the picture that comes out. When I am right on top of it stitching all I see is orange.
Yesterday I was over at House of Stitches to pick up some framing and some items for a Christmas gift. As usual they did a lovely job. Thank you ladies!!
Well I hope your needles are smoking this week but you manage to stay cool!!
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Happy Dance & a New Start!!!

Here is the other half of Stitchers Row:

I finished this up Wednesday. It was such a fun stitch!
Here is what I started after that:

Yes I am crazy!!. This is a Kustom Kraft piece that is 196x196 solidly stitched. I am stitching it for my DS. He doesn't know about it yet. Last Christmas he looked at a Stoney Creek deer piece I did for my DH many years ago and requested something like that. So this is what I picked. It is over 2 on linen so not quite as hard to stitch as the HAED Wolf I did a while back for him.
This is my progress since Wednesday evening:

It is amazing when I am stitching on it all I see is orange but you can see the defination with the picture. It seems to be stitching pretty easily but I sure have a long way to go:)!
I don't know about your part of the world but it has been HOT here!! I am definately ready for fall but I admit I am more of a cold weather person.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Stitchers Row Update

I have been stitching away on Stitchers Row by Bent Creek:

Do to the size of it it is kind of hard to get in one picture. It really is a fun stitch and I am hoping to finish it up this week.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and that your week ahead will be full of blessings.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,

Sparklers for Needles

Yes I must have been using sparklers for needles this 4th of July because it was sparking!!!
First off I did it!! The baby sampler is finished:

I am pleased with how it turned out even the DH who wasn't sure of the design at first really liked the colors.
Second I got finished my ANG class from June:

This is a freebie design from Rainbow Gallery by Laura J Perin Tequilla Sunrise. I think with the alternate colors it looks more like the Arctic Sunrise. Which is fine with me cause it was way to humid and hot for me this weekend.
Then this evening I started Stitchers Row by Bent Creek:
Seems lik it is going to be a fun easy stitch.
I hope you all had a safe and happy 4th! Ours was pretty low key but it was nice to get things done around the house and have time for stitching.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

I really feel the end is in sight on this one. I am really hoping that the next picture would be one with a Happy Dance!!
Today I went to a quilt show in MI with Beth and Lelia. So much fun and so inspiring!!!! What a blast we had.
I hope everyone is having a great week and spending time with their needles.

Storms and Stitching

We are once again getting more storms. We had one this morning and another started this evening. High winds and lots of rain. Fortunately this evening the power only flickered. But the directv has yet to come back. Oh well!
Since my time was not divided between watching the screen and stitching I was able to finish up this corner of the baby sampler:

I only have about 1/4 of the whole sampler to do! The end is sight!
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
