Sweet Sunday Sketch #258

Happy Sunday!! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch, I hope you can join us. All the deets are over on Karen's blog, so don't forget to hop on over there to find out!

My MOJO seems to have gone on a LOOOONG hiatus of late... the kind of hiatus, that has resulted in absolutely NO desire to craft... and that has made me SAD!!!.. Anyhoo... it was time to take the 'Bull by the horns' so to speak, and pick up my game!!... I sat down and pulled out all my favourite things... this resulted in not being able to find anything!!! My desk was a BOMB site!!!.. This card took a while to create, and it's by no means a masterpiece...actually, it's not even close to being a favourite and sat on my desk for a few days while I contemplated whether to keep it or BIN it!!!... I decided to keep it, not because I like it, but because, I created it! After a few weeks of tossing up whether to give up on the whole stampin' thing, I actually created something!! So, it stayed!.

A beautiful friend let me borrow the gorgeous Celebrate Today stamp set and it's coordinating thinlits... YAY!!... I also used Crisp Cantaloupe, Soft Suede, Gold Glimmer Paper and Costal Cabana... gorgeous colours to get one out of a rut, don't you think!.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #255

Happy Sunday!!.. It's time for another fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch. If you'd love to join us, check out all the deets on Karen's blog!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch-

I've actually only used one background stamp on this card the rest of it is made using thinlits!! FUN!!!

I've used Soft Suede and then inked up my Hardwood background stamp in Soft Suede and stamped it onto my card stock. I added some Vintage Lace and some linen tread and then used some Pistachio Pudding card stock and some Gold Soiree Specialty DSP.

The main sentiment piece has been put together using Burlap Ribbon, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush card stock and I've used the NEW and rather fabulous Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (these are available in the new and current Occasions Catalogue!). I also added a little wooden embellishment speech bubble and a Gold Glimmer Paper heart!

{hello} Sweet Sunday Sketch #254

Happy Sunday!!! It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch!! I hope you can join us this week, it's a GOODY!!!. All the deets are over on Karen's blog, so be sure to check them out!

School is back tomorrow!!... I'm not sure how I feel about that!. My gorgeous girls are super excited to be going into Yr 1 and Yr 3, I on the other hand, am in a state of shock that my babies are growing up WAY TO FAST!!! (I'm that mummy who LOVES school holidays and kinda wishes it was school holidays ALL THE TIME... YUP.. LOVE them!!! ) Nothing like a little stampin' session to ease the out of control mind!!! ... Right!?

Sooo... here is my card for today's sketch:-

I've used a whole heap of my favourites today... Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Crisp Cantaloupe are the colour choices, together with some Typeset Specialty DSP. The Ink colours are Crisp Cantaloupe, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Soft Suede, Strawberry Slush and Versamark with Gold Embossing Powder!

The extra favourites I've used are.. Linen Thread, Vintage Lace, Pearls and a Designer Very Vintage Button!

Australia Day!!!... Sweet Sunday Sketch #253

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend and all my fellow Aussies... HAPPY Australia Day {long weekend!!}

Here's my card for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch:-

Bearing in mind that tomorrow (Monday) is Australia Day!!! I've gone all out Aussie for today's sketch.... I attempted to go Green and Gold... but Green and Gold are NOT my go to card making colours and I can assure you NO ONE needed to see what eventuated from those colours!!... So I decided to go with the Aussie Flag colours instead... much more pleasing to the eye ;-)

I've used Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and some Silver Glimmer Paper. The stamp set is Starburst Sayings and I've added a little wooden embellishment and just written 'Australia' on that.

I'll be enjoying myself of a HUGE slip and slide tomorrow with some GORGEOUS friends... I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Happy Australia Day ( for tomorrow!)

Sweet Sunday Sketch #252

Happy Sunday!!... It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. All the deets are over on Karen's blog, so do jump on over and join in on the fun!

I've gone SIMPLE, SIMPLE this week, and to be honest... I don't really like it!. NOPE... I'm not loving this card, so much so, I contemplated not posting it and starting again... which I'll quite likely do!.

I used one of the sentiments from the NEW Hello You Thinlets... which I do LOVE!! I used Strawberry Slush for that (LOVE Strawberry Slush too!). I added some Sahara Sand DSP and a spash of Blackberry Bliss for the little banner. I added a little Vintage Button with some linen thread at the top and some Rhinestones for some sparkle... LOTS of things I LOVE, however, they just didn't mix together the way I hoped... perhaps I needed some extra layers! ;-)

Sweet Sunday Sketch #251

Happy Sunday!!! Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. My beautiful family and I have just returned from a little holiday getaway, which was SO much fun and very relaxing.

I'm back into it now, although feeling VERY rusty!!!. I haven't stamped or crafted in about a month, so please, be gently on me today!

I've gone for my SAFE colours today... Crisp Cantaloupe, Naturals Ivory and Soft Suede... a combination that never seems to fail. I decided to FINALLY ink up my Choose Happiness stamp set today and combined it with another favourite, Kinda Eclectic, with a few splotches of Gorgeous Grunge. The colours I used for stamping were, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Suede. I've added some other staples, Burlap Ribbon, Vintage Lace, Crumb Cake seam binding and some bling!

To finish off, I thought I'd share a quick pic of my BEAUTIFUL family... we take a family shot every year (although we were a little late last year, so it ended up being a New Year shot... shhhh), usually in the same kind of pose, so we can see how much we've changed over the past year... well mainly how much the girls have changed...!

Alrighty!!!.. So... it's Sweet Sunday Sketch time again, which is AWESOME, however, it would appear that LIFE and the social life of my two little girls has gotten in the way of my stampin' and crafting time this week!!, NOT SO awesome!
