I love to look for great finds for the shop. From hand painted numbers to a great set of plates, I am so excited to show you my five picks for this week.

I found these amazing hand painted black and white double-sided numbers were once used for an Amish cattle auction. I love them all together on the wall. ($15.00 each)

This pair of mirrors are Palladian windows from the 1840's. I love a good innovative touch to an antique as they can be used on the interior of the home where they were once used on the exterior. ($325.00 for the pair)

Here is a great chest of drawers that can be used for an array of things. The attention to details and its clean white color are a plus. This would even look great holding linens for the dining room. Or just use it's great storage for the bedroom. ($695.00)

This is a fantastic replica of old renderings of poisson . Two of these would also look great in a dining room along with the chest of drawers pictured above. ($44.00)

Here are some vintage plates California pottery plates, I love the color grey they used and the flower is so sweet. Instead if putting these plates in a shelf I think they would look great on the wall.

Shopping for home goods and antiques never gets old, and I hope you stop in soon so I can show you more of my favorite picks.

Scarlett

Five things, Scarlett's picks red cross to bubble gum

I have added great new finds in the shop. From great prints for a girls room to a gumball machine that is great for conversation, I am so excited to show you my five picks for this week.

I think these wall tiles would look darling in a girls room. The prints are very feminine, and as any girl gets older they wouldn't get tired of looking at them. Besides even grown girls like me like them.($30.00 each)

This next item is great for storage use in any room. The cabinet is actually from an old dry cleaners in Nashville called White Way Cleaners. The paint on this piece is awesome! This piece has great patina. ($435.00)

Talk about details! We have these beautiful cards that are hand made by using real flowers by a group of women artisans living in rural El Salvador in the mountains of Comasagua. The purchase of the card helps provide a living income for the women artesian. Now how cool is that?  Give them for a special occasion or frame them.($8.00 each)

These vintage hammered aluminum trays are a great collection for a wall. Each tray is unique in style and shape. If you need something beautiful to serve food with they are a fantastic option. Just borrow them from your display and use them for serving (Starting at $16.00)

Lastly, here is a conversation piece that would look great in a kitchen. Instead of the typical metal this vintage gumball machine is made out of wood. I love the little side windows that are on the diagonal. ($135.00)

We keep finding great items for the shop, and hope you stop in soon so I can show you more of my favorite picks.
Sincerely,
Scarlett

A New Year, A New Five Picks

I hope all of you readers had a fantastic new year. I am so excited to show you all my latest picks for 2013. If you are looking for something that is useful, easy, and stylish this post is perfect for you. Lets get started!!

I always love a fabulous staple piece in my wardrobe. This lace top is so versatile; you could wear it in the winter or summer depending on the undershirt. The great thing about this type of lace is that you can accessorize how ever you like. Of course, I added a chunky scarf, and to keep it in place I added these fantastic vintage band pins.  Lace top ($20.00), dark grey undershirt ($18.00), scarf ($24.00), and vintage band pins ($7.00 each).

This next item is special. I love the color, and it is made out of 100% recycled glass. These glasses are great for a casual dinner or an easy sturdy wine glasses for a fun get together with friends. ($7.00 each)

This gem was originally used for cutting wallpaper, and if you only need it here and there it so easy to store. I think it would be perfect as a sofa table. ($485.00)

This chest of drawers is so cool! I love the Asian writing as pulls and it looks so chic in black. This would look great in any room. If I were to decorate around this piece I would use a modern feel. To top it off, it is great for storage with very roomy drawers. ($365.00)

Lastly we have these great sconces that are made of old vintage metal and mirror. They would look great in a living room or in a hallway. ($195.00 for the pair)

Hope you stop in our shop soon so I can show you more of my favorite picks.
