August 2013
August was such a fun month! We took a family trip to California for Will and Sophia's baby blessings! We stayed with Uncle John in Dana Point and had a blast! I really realized how much I miss California! It will always be home to Scott and I. We were also able to take the kids to the Washington UT County fair. It was a blast! The kids had so much fun! I took a little "sisters trip" to Manti, UT this month to see my old roommate and dear friend get married. It was an awesome weekend and so fun to spend with my sisters! Travis started Kindergarten this month. I CANNOT believe it! It was so fun getting him ready and taking him to school on his first day. I have to admit I got a little teary leaving him! We also took the kids to the Corn Fest in Enterprise and had so much fun exploring that cute little town! I just love my family so very much! I am so blessed to have them! Here are all of the fun things we have done this month:
August 1st--Our family trip to California! We stayed with John in Dana Point. Our first morning there we went to Ikea to check out the bunk beds and all the new cool stuff there. Of coarse we had to stop for an early lunch there. The kids loved running around and I caught Tyler all tucked into a little toddler bed with his little flip-flops neatly on the floor near the bed. He had his eyes closed and was smiling from ear to ear. It was so cute! I had to laugh!!
The highlight of the trip was visiting Great Grandma Rosell! I miss her so much. I have the most wonderful memories with her and all of the family parties at her house! I miss living in Brea and living so close to her. She is one of the most wonderful ladies I know and I have learned so much from her! I love you Grandma!

Oh! The famous gum ball machine at Great Grandma Rosell's house! I have great memories of buying a gum ball at Grandma's house as a child. Now it's one of my kid's favorite things!
After Grandma Rosell's house, we went with the cousins to Chucke Cheese. My kids were thrilled and couldn't wait to go!

After Chucke Cheese, we drove back to John's house. The kids had a quick bath and then we busted out the glasses to watch his 3-D TV. It was awesome and the kids were so excited!
Brooke even tried the 3-D TV glasses! I love this girl! She is getting so big!!!
August 2nd--We went with the Smith cousins and Uncle John to San Juan Capistrano Mission. It was so beautiful and absolutely fascinating! The kids loved checking out all of the old ruins!

After visiting the San Juan Capistrano Mission, we headed to the beach. It was an awesome day!
It was Brooke's first time at the beach. She slept for the first little bit!

After the beach, we got all changed and headed to Anaheim for the Angels baseball game. My mom and dad met us there and we had so much fun visiting, watching the game, eating peanuts and laughing!

Oh Travis! He loves any kind of sports activities and was so excited to go to the game. It reminded us of old times going to the games together when we lived in Brea!
August 3rd--Swimming at Clayton's clubhouse in Santa Clarita! I can't believe I didn't get more pictures. We were thrilled to see Sophia and Will be blessed. They are sweet babies! It was so fun to see Clayton's new house too! We love them!
August 6th--Sweet little Brooke! I can't believe she is almost 3 months!
She loves her little bouncer! She is such a happy baby and such a joy to have!
August 8th--We took the kids to the Washington County fair. It was so fun looking at all the booths! We ran right into Smokey the Bear!

Someone lost his first tooth! The tooth fairy even made her visit and left a $1 bill. Travis was thrilled!
August 10th--Brooke and I went with my sisters to Manti, Utah for our good friend Gina's wedding! Back in the day we were all college roommates together and I have the best memories of those days! We were so thrilled Gina was getting married that we couldn't miss her wedding. Cara and I met Alissa in Richfield and we drove to Manti together. We had the best time visiting, laughing, eating, shopping and staying in a hotel together. I will cherish this memory forever! I was so thrilled to take Brooke with me. It is soooo fun having a girl! #girlstrip2013

August 15th--Brooke getting ready for her bath. I had to snap a few shots of her sweet little face!
August 17th--Brooke is 3 months old today! She is growing up so fast. She loves her brothers and loves to be held and sung to. She has such a sweet calm spirit and has brought so much happiness to our home. We love you Brooke!

August 19th--Brooke hanging out in her BUMBO! She loves to sit up and look around!
August 21st--Tyler getting ready to take Travis to his first day of Kindergarten. This boy isn't going to know what to do without Travis!
Travis....he is so ready to start Kindergarten and couldn't be more thrilled! He is such a happy, fun-loving boy. He gets so excited over the simplest things. It really makes life so fun! I will miss my best helper while he is at school but I am excited for the adventures that await him!

I took Travis to school on his first day! We ran into Hallie and Micah (our cousins) all ready for their first day! It is so fun to have cousins so close. We love them!

August 23rd--We love Ethan! He is such a fun boy and full of energy!

August 24th--At the Corn Fest in Enterprise! It absolutely poured and so we didn't get to see much of the Corn Fest but we enjoyed going to ACE Hardware and getting our own popcorn and soda! Such fun memories!
August 25th--Travis and Tyler harvested our first zucchini from our garden. So exciting!
August 27th--I had to capture this cute face! She is such a happy little girl!
Tyler LOVES to hold Brooke! He is such a sweet brother.
August 31st--For the first time Ethan begged to hold Brooke and he was so proud!
