Seize the Birthday #298-Kraft and Red

Hello Crafters! Hope you are settled into 2025.

Glenda here and I've picked one of my favourite colour combinations for the topping this week. However, before I get to the amazing cards below we have a new Design Team member started today! I would like to welcome Jenny Martin to the team. Welcome Jenny, you have landed in a lovely space.

Here is a little bit about her!

Hi there! It’s Jenny here from My Paper Epiphany. I’m from Melbourne, Australia, but we also have a house at Queenscliff, which is a seaside town 2 hours from home. I spend a quarter of my time there and it’s where I do most of my crafting. I began sporadically card-making 30 years ago, but many years later I became hooked when I discovered the wonderful online community and challenges. I love dabbling in all styles of card making, although I’d say the majority of my cards could be defined as ‘Clean and Layered’. I’m super happy to be joining the Seize The Birthday team.

Our "Topping" option this time is...

Please also feel free to use neutrals; black, white, grey, or dark brown!

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well...you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes" Birthday!

The choice is yours!

Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!

Seize the Birthday #297-Use Something New

Hello Crafters, Happy New Year, and welcome to our first challenge for 2025!

It's Cathy here hosting this round and I thought it would be fun to start off by using some new goodies that may be in your stash from Christmas or even earlier!

Before we get to the cards below, I want to introduce you to our next Surprise Party Guest. We have Amanda Mertz joining us for the next two months. Welcome Amanda, we're happy to have you alongside us!

Here is a little bit about her!

I'm Amanda Mertz and I live in Glen Allen, Virginia, USA (just outside of Richmond) with my husband, 2 teen boys, and 2 labrador retrievers. I'm thrilled to be joining Seize the Birthday design team as a Party Guest for the next two months! I've been stamping since 2003 and have been having a blast with it ever since! I love participating in challenges so that I have a starting point to make me stay focused when I have soooooo many different products to choose from! I use any reason I can to stay in my stamp room but when I do venture out I love to walk with my dogs, read, and try to complete all the NY Times daily puzzles.

Along with Amanda, we have Valerie and Denise joining us, they both were winners of previous challenges. Happy to have you ladies designing with us too!

Seize the Birthday #296 Masculine

Hello Crafters,

It is Thanksgiving Day and we at Seize the Birthday want to wish you a wonderful day. We have so much to be thankful for this year. It is also our last challenge for 2024. I am the host for this challenge, and I chose a theme that we all need, but it may be the biggest challenge for most. I know that it is for me. It's Barbara and I have decided to choose Masculine as the topping for this last challenge of 2024.

Before we get to the cards below, I want to thank Colleen for being a Fabulous DT member the past 10 years! Today is her final post with us and we wish her well as she frees up more time to spend with her family. I also need to thank Fran Wing for being such a wonderful Surprise Party Guest the past two months we have enjoyed having you in our line up.! Today we have Claire joining us as she was the overall winner of our previous challenge. Welcome, Claire!
