Idaho Trip July 2012

We went to Mesa Falls in Idaho to check out these beautiful waterfalls. It was an easy walk to the waterfalls. They were so pretty.

Then we decided to do a "easy" hike. A lady told us it was a flat path the whole way. Um....3 adults and 5 kids.....3 of them under 3 and me being out of shape.....not as easy as we thought. We rotated as to who pushed who and we would make some of the kids walk until they cried.  I brought along my cheesy umbrella stroller and I put Amelia in then Rigdon on her shoulders. I'm sure the whole thing was comical.

We made it to the top and it was a beautiful veiw. But now we had to go all the way back :/

The next day we went to a local park in Rexberg. We tried taking some fun pictures of the kids but it was like herding cats!!!  We made them match like everyday.

The that afternoon we took the kids to the Rexberg Rapids waterpark. It is a very fun place but you can only swim in Rexberg for like 2 months of the year. I wonder why they didn't make it indoors. Oh well, it was cold for us Arizonan who are use to swimming when the sum in shining its 115 degree rays on us.

These 2 little pals stayed home with Uncle Abe and took naps.

The next day, we took the kids to Rigby lake. It was so fun!!! They was sand leading into the water so it was like playing at the beach. The water was a little chilly for my blood, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Uncle Abe took them out to this floating slide they had in the water.

The kids had a blast at the Idaho Falls Zoo. Gotta love Bristols face.

Can't forget the other 2.

On Sunday before church I drove the kids up to the Rexberg Temple. I wanted so badly to go and do a session but the 2 weeks we were up there, it was closed for cleaning and maintenance.

Shaun's cousin Wendy lives down the street from Abe, what a small world!! So Ryker got to go play with Brae. Gotta love the front yard ditches. I grew up playing in ours, so I'm glad Ryker got to experience the fun :)

We set up this little table every meal for the 3 bigger kids.

These 2 little munchkins had their matching high chairs.

I thought I should document the fact that Adelle was living with Abe and Shantay for a year while going to hair school.

Idaho July 2012

Our first full day in Idaho, we headed to Bear World. It was a fun place. You drive in and go along this path in your car and you can see deer, buffalo, elk and obviously bears. Kids loved it. Then you park your car and they have cubs you can see and a petting area with deer, chickens, goats etc.  They also have a few fun rides to go on.

We spend several hours there and when we got home we just played outside. The kids were digging up  worms in the garden area.

Seriously these next few pictures melt my heart. Ryker is a sweet boy but doesn't like to show that side of himself as often as I would like. He found a cute little frog jumping in the grass and caught it. He was beaming and grinning form ear to ear. This boy LOVES frogs, snakes, sharks and turtles. He loves reading about them and really would like to own all of them. He named his from Hop and his wonderful Aunt Shantay found a box to make a home for him in. Greatest day EVER for Ryker.

Idaho Adventure 7/20/12

We had such a fun time in Utah (well everyone else did). But now my weird sickness turned into a cough and I had do voice. It hurt so bad every time I coughed, my chest felt bruised. But this point in the trip was when we had to say goodbye to Shaun. He headed back home to Arizona and we were headed North to Rexberg Idaho to spend 2 WEEKS with Abe, Shantay, Bristol and Kinnley. It was a 4 hour dive so I loaded the van and we were off.

Idaho is just beautiful in the summer time. It is green and lush. The weather was perfect. We got there and were so excited to see everyone. They are renting a little house on an acre piece of property.

Here we are going to the duck pond.

The people they are renting their house from lived next door. They had their grandchildren living with them. It was so fun because it gave them more friends to play with. Grace had a good time pulling then kids around with the lawnmower.

Poor Kinnie and Riggy wanted a ride but they were to little.

Day 7 and 8 of our Utah/ Idaho Adventure

Day 7 of our trip was actually our 9th anniversary!!  9 whole years together and 3 crazy kids later. We had already had Lagoon planned for that day. I was yes.....still very very sick :(  But still not wanting to miss out on some fun I got up and got ready to go.

Here we all are at the beginning of our day.

I only lasted about 3 hours and had to go home :( I felt awful and needed to lay down. I took Rigdon home with me. I put him down for his nap and thank goodness he slept for 3 hours because that means I did as well :)

This is the ride that Ryker remembered form 2 years previous, when we came to Lagoon for the first time. He loves this ride!!!

Everyone else had so much fun and got back later that evening. I was already in bed for the night when they got home. Not how you typically expect to spend your 9th anniversary but that is how life goes right??

Day 8: Wrapping up the week of fun, the kids went to a bounce house place. Yep I'm sure you know where I was.......still sick.  I really don't get sick often nor have I EVER been so sick like this before. I'm still a little sad I missed out on such a fun trip!! One that we had been planing for months by the way!

After the bounce house, Shaun took the kids to the Salt Lake Temple visitor center, since we didn't get to do it when we were there on Sunday.
