I made the Design Team!

I was very excited to find out today that I made The Design Team at Mini Album Scraps. I was in the car when I checked my cell phone for emails. When I saw that I had made the team I almost rear ended the car in front of me while I was reading the email. The website is http://minialbumscraps.ning.com. I will be on the team for 6 months and I believe I am to create two projects per month, so check back often. I am also currently working on a mini trying to use up embellies that I've had in my stash for too long.

RETRO PINUP MINI FINALLY FINISHED!

I'm so glad I finally finished this mini. Lots of photos of it are shown. Please click on the images to enlarge. Vintage Beach Canvas

Project Number 2 for the Design Team call at http://minialbumscraps.ning.com

This project is a vintage beach mixed media canvas 12 x 12. I am almost finished with Project Number 1 (the retro pinup mini album you see before this posting) , and I will be doing videos on both projects when the mini album is complete. Both projects for the Design Team call are due August 10th so I've been scrambling to finish.

In response to questions about my sneak peek retro pinup mini

Thanks for your questions and comments. The pinup images are not part of the paper lines I used. I purchased most of these images on etsy.com as png files (meaning they can be resized and they have transparent backgrounds). I was able to print them to any size I needed and I printed them on matte photo paper using my Epson picture mate ink jet printer. The paper lines I used were several. I used some Glitz Designs and also some stickers from Glitz Designs and transparencies. I will explain in more detail when the mini is done and I make a video. I also used two collections from Cosmo Cricket including The Early Bird collection, and the 1934 collection. Additionally I used paper and elements from Echo Park's For The Record by Bella Road. Basically I searched for retro paper lines and these were the best I found for the application I wanted. I am very happy about the way it's turning out. This mini is one of two projects for a design team call at minialbumscraps.ning.com I can't wait to show project number two! The two projects are due by August 15th so hopefully I will be finished!

Meanwhile I am also working on my New Moon tag, the second tag for the Twilight Saga project also at http://minialbumscraps.ning.com.
