So I've been tagged and now get to share 7 things that describe who I am. I was tagged by Abbie, you can see her 7 things at http://joshvandy.blogspot.com/. Here we go .....
- I love my family!! I have always been a home-body because let's face it, my family rocks!! When we are together we are constantly laughing whether at eachother or someone else. We are sarcastic and make fun of eachother constantly but know that we have eachother's back no matter what. I have fallin in love with my new little family and love every minute that I get to spend with Ryan and our little boy. I crave the little breaks in between semesters so that I get to be with my man and Dane gets to be with his daddy. Ryan and I have a great friendship and honestly hardly ever fight. Ryan never leaves me without resovling the problem which is a quality I respect so much. He will sacrifice going to study, going to sleep, or believe it or not... a football game until he knows that I have said all that I want to say and we are both happy again. I am gradually learning more patience the more I am around him. He rarely gets upset, annoyed, and is usually the first to apologize when we dissagree. Now that is a true man. And... he has a pair of the nicest legs I've seen on a guy and pretty darn good lookin face too.
- I love my reality shows. I know, I am lame but I am addicted to almost all reality shows. The Hills, Laguna Beach, The Bachelor, Kardashians, ... you name it, I am hooked. It probably sounds like I am a lazy couch potato but because I have tevo, I can watch my shows in half the time! Got to go, my show is starting...
- I love food! I get so giddy thinking about food. I wish that I was loaded so that I could go on date night every night and eat out at different restaurants. I love most types of food but my favorite is Mexican. I have always enjoyed it but I craved it while I was pregnant and I still crave it. I don't think I have ever not felt like mexican food. Although I love food (restaurant and home-cooked meals) I am not a really a fan of desserts. I like candy and some sweets but I am not into cakes, pies, pastries, cobblers,... I get grossed out by cooked fruit especially! I could live off of cold, fresh fruit but in my opinion fruit should NEVER be cooked.
- I am extremely competitive. I enjoy playing games whether it is a sport or board game. The bad thing is.. Ryan is really competitive too. If we are not on the same team, Ryan usually is mad (because my team always wins of course...)Ryan would also probably say that I am not a good loser... or winner, BUT I AM!! j/k.
- The summer before my senior year of high school I was talking to a bunch of people at work. For some reason we were talking about stitches and sprains and I started bragging about how I had never had stitches, sprains, a broken bone, a black eye, or even been stung by a bee. Well that weekend I went to the lake with a bunch of people and thought I would go ahead and be the 3rd person on a two man tube. We fell hard and my friend's knee hit me in the eye. Before I reached the surface of the water, my eye filled my hand that I had cupped over it. I thought for sure I was going to be blind. I was so embarrassed and did not want to take my hand off of my eye because I could just feel how ugly it was. She was whining about how much her knee hurt and showed everyone the bruise that had already formed. Finally I took my hand off my eye and by everyone's reaction I knew it was pretty bad. I decided to just go and relax on the house boat for the rest of the day. I was laying out for maybe 5 minutes before I got stung by a bee on the bottom of my foot. I started my senior year with a huge black eye and since then have decided not to brag about bad stuff never happening to me. If I do happen to mention it, I always make sure to knock on wood as if that even makes a difference.
- I am willing to try ALMOST anything once. My family lived in Australia for a couple of years and while we were there we ate water buffalo, crocodile and kangaroo. I have never turned down a rollercoaster ride. On a family vacation, me and my sister thought that we would enter ourselves into a bull riding event at a rodeo just so we could tell people we've done it. I was never so scared in my life waiting for them to announce my name and open the gate. This bull was HUGE, had sharp horns, and was not about to let me ride it. (ok, well maybe it was just a really big, mean steer but it still could've killed me easily) There were like 7 cowboys around me trying to keep me from chickening out. They showed me how to hold onto the rope with both hands but I wanted to be a real cowgirl and do it one-handed with the other hand waving gracefully in the air. I lasted maybe a second, just long enough to wave to the video camera...
- I am part Indian. My Great Grandma was found on a doorstep and was Indian but we don't know what tribe she was from. I was named after that great grandma. Another interesting thing about that side of the family is that her son (my Grandpa Weston)was a convert to the LDS church and has recorded his conversion story which has become a strong missionary tool. His story is called "The 17 Point/Evidences of the True Church".
