Too funny.

This is bathroom humor, so if you do not like stuff like that please stop reading.

This morning Addy went #2 in her potty. She yells "Mama, I go poo poo. Hurry..come see!"
So I walk around the corner and see her looking into her potty and she says "Oh wait it is a snake, No Feet (a snake character off of Little Bear) is in there, look !!"

I was laughing so hard and she told me Shh no laughing mama. Oh man this kid gets funnier and funnier every day!

2009 recap

Good thing for pictures so we can remember exactly what happened this last year.
January was cold and snowy, and Addy hated every minute of it.
February wasn't any different but we got a little vacation and went to Arizona to visit some friends and to take a break from the cold. We could not keep Addy inside at all and she cried if we shut the sliding door.
I am not sure of the date but somewhere in here Wes started working for the AG's office in SLC.
March came and Wes got to travel to FL for a Moot court competition with his teammates. They also got to go snorkeling.
While he was there, my mom came to stay with Addy and I. We had a lot of fun.
Easter was really fun this year because Addy wanted to participate in and do everything related to it. We had a big ward egg hunt and a cake walk. Addy won a cake in the cake walk and stuck he face right in it. The next day we celebrated by having our own egg and basket hunt. We made a path for Addy to follow that would lead her to her basket. The weather was perfect and Addy was a little bunny. Then we went to Oma and Opa's house for Easter dinner, Yum!
April was a good month. It started a little scary because school was coming to an end and we had no idea what to expect next. Especially how the bills would get paid. Right before graduation Wes got a job in Orem at a law office. Neither of us felt great about the job but you can't really turn down a job if you don't have another one.
The next week was graduation and everyone flew to Utah for the great day. The day before graduation Wes got an e-mail saying that he got another job in Las Vegas, and the starting date was in 2 weeks. We weighed the options and I think Wes started packing before we told the Orem job, No and the Vegas job Yes. Graduating now seemed to feel a lot better.

We had a big party for Wes and it was a very great celebration because LAW SCHOOL WAS OVER!
The first weekend in May we took a trip to Vegas to find a place to live and to see where he would be working. We found a place called the Resort at the Lakes to live. The Outside did seem like a resort but the inside...well it was an apartment.
We were sad to put up for sale and leave our house in Utah since we had lived there for two and a half years.
SO we said good-bye to our friends, our family, our house, Green things, and everything that we have known for the past years married and the unmarried years too.
Wes started working on May 18th 2009.
Well it just got hotter and hotter and hotter every day starting the minute we arrived. Addy loved every second of it. We did so many activities together. We went to the park, Pool, spray-grounds, we did crafts, library days, free movies..All kinds of things for the next few months.

In June Wes's work took us on a trip to St. George to see the Tuacahn Festival. We got to see two shows, Annie and Footloose. If you have not been...GO!
July- Wes started studying for the Bar. He had the whole month of July off to study. Addy and I took some of our own adventures. First our friends came down to celebrate the 4th with us. Then Addy and I headed to Utah to get out of the way for Wes to study without distraction. Then we went to Ohio for a two week vacation. After Wes took the bar he headed straight out to Ohio, and to relax for a minute before he started working again. Wes and I also had our 5th wedding anniversary!!
4th of July parade.

Having fun with the cousins at one of the many things we did that day.

If you are from or have ever lived in Ohio You know what kind of Ice cream this is.
Loving the outdoors and greenness in Ohio.
When we got back it was August and the best news ever is that we sold our house in Provo. That is when we decided to start looking for a house to buy in Vegas since the market was crazy low. We looked and we looked and we put offers on but we never got the houses that we wanted. It started to become a game a little bit. If the house was just semi decent we put an offer on it. We wanted to give up and I think sometimes we did for a day or two until we remembered we were in an apartment that Addy could not sleep in for some reason. SO we kept looking. Mean while we played with friends and Addy and I took another trip. We meet our friend in California and went to Disneyland and to the Beach. We had a blast.

September was discouraging for the house hunt but we felt a breakthrough coming on. Luckily we had Addy's 2nd birthday to celebrate with family and friends. We also had a huge celebration because Wes Passed the BAR!!!!! We first spent Labor day in Utah. Then everything else followed.

October was a great month..it always is but it was really good this year. We loved the the weather was cooling down (kind-of) and we just had fun. We celebrated my 30th birthday, (a surprise visit to St George, with surprise guests) it made my birthday every happy.
Halloween was great too. Two trick-or-treats...what more could you ask for?
November was started off tough. Our computer broke, the van had some problems, our headphones broke and I was feeling out of touch. But then good news came... After 20 offers we finally bought a brand new house, with new furniture inside!
We moved in and then traveled to Utah for Thanksgiving. What a snowy and cold adventure.
December was great too. We had a new house to get use to, I was in a craft show, we had friends come and visit us and Namma and Papa came for Christmas. Addy loved every minute of everything.
The best part of the Year was being able to be together as a family and grow here in Vegas. Graduating form Law school, Moving to Vegas, Celebrating 5 years together, Addy turning 2 my 30th and buying a house were all really good things to have happen in one year. We are really blessed for everything that we have and we are blessed for every one that is in our lives. Thanks for making this a really good year.
I hope that 2010 can be an even better year...for all of us.

Silly head Addy

Addy always does and say some pretty funny things.
Yesterday we were at the park running up and down a grassy hill. When we were going up Addy would sing "up up up...up the mountain." then we got to the top and she stops and looks around and says "hey, this is no mountain..it has grass."

Now that Addy wears big girl underpants she has this problem called a wedge. I made the mistake of telling her that one day. So last night she says "oh no! Mama I have a wedge. Will you pick it for me?" as she walks over to me sitting on the floor and sticks her bum right in my face and leans over with her hands on the floor.

This morning Addy came and woke us up as normal, we read scriptures, had prayer and then Addy came downstairs to read books while I was putting in my contacts. Then we hear her yell "Hey I'm naked". We looked at each other and then we hear her yell again.."Hey I went pee pee!! MAMA, I WENT PEE PEE!" I got nervous at first until I heard the toilet lid go up and Addy say "Look how yellow it is...come see". but I guess I took to long because the toilet flushed and she was doing a dance.
Oh how I love my little girl!

Christmas.

My parents came into town for Christmas. Here are some highlights of their trip here.
Addy showed Papa how she tucks you in and makes you sleep with all of her toys.

Addy being ornery while playing with papa

We went shopping at the outlet malls. Addy rode her first mall train for $.50. She also played the bells to jingle bells with the singing quartet.
Story time with Namma.

We hiked up Mountains Edge park.
Addy sticking her cold hands down my back to keep warm.

We played there for a long time at the park.

Addy rolled down the hill.

We got Chinese take out and had left overs.
Bath time with Namma.
Christmas Eve stories and songs.
Addy pondering Frosty the snowman

Is he real?

What about Santa?
Christmas morning. The first one that Addy understood Santa Claus.

Having a husband as an elf.
Christmas Breakfast.

Of course a stop at Cafe Rio!
A haircut-
Chocolate.

And resting. All in all we had a great Christmas and we are so thankful for that time that we spent together. We are also very grateful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of whom we really celebrate. We loved teaching Addy about the birth of Jesus and having a manger scene that she can play with. As we read the story in Luke 2 we had Addy pick up the characters to the manager scene and add them at the appropriate times. She loved it! We are so blessed.
