PAPA AND ME / ADFD New Release...

Oops - I forgot to post this yesterday! There's a new release at A Day For Daisies, called Together. These digital images are so gorgeous and sweet, aren't they? I used "Papa and Me" - it reminds me of Alex and Jeff - minus the slingshot - LOL! 

I just wanted to do a really simple and clean card to show off the image. Our new challenge is to use fabric or fibers... so I used this gorgeous hand dyed seam binding I got from Sherry - she sells it too, btw!  I think I will find a poem or something for the inside to give to Jeff next week on his birthday... something mushy about being an awesome father! Because he is....

Good morning and HAPPY SATURDAY - HOORAY!!! I love Saturday morning, pajamas, cereal, cartoons, playing with the kids - PERFECT!

We start a new RetroSketches today - and we have our first RetroSketch Headliner joining us for the month - Lynn Put! Be sure to hop over, see her gorgeous card, as well as the other DT cards & play along! 

I used the new Paper Smooches' Daisies and Paisleys again - I love paisleys! I added some stickles to the paisleys, too! The word "friend" is from another PS set.

I also LOVE the color palette over at The Play Date Cafe - one of my faves!

Here's Alex and Maisie before blast off - apparently they are going into out space in Alex's tent. (Most pics of Alex are blurry - like a typical boy, he won't be still!)

YOU BLOW MY MIND / iSPY #27 & TAWS Be Inspired #8...

WOOHOO - it's good news Friday! First, we have a new TAWS Be Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps! And if that isn't reason enough to celebrate, I have accepted an assignment at iSpy Sketches!!! I have loved playing with them - it's so exciting - I am both honored and thrilled to be the newest "Secret Agent"!

For today's card I used the adorable little puffer from Castaways by The Alley Way Stamps, I love these cute little fishies! I added some stickles to him to take the edge off - lol! (Get it - puffer - edge... okay, I'm lame...)

Good morning! We have a new sketch for you starting today over at the Deconstructed Sketch - I decided it would be fun rotated on it's side. I combined it with the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge and used the new set Daisies & Paisleys - I have always been a sucker for both!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN / TAWS Inspiration and FTL #201...

Happy August! Can you believe it - how is it August already? I've already bought my first bag of candy corn... the store had boxes of it - YAY!!! Anyway it totally put me in the mood for Halloween and I SOOOO LOOOVE making Halloween cards! The new set, Cover Ups from The Alley Way Stamps has the coolest little spider web and spider! I couldn't find my googly eyes, so I used pearls and put a little dot on them for the eyeballs with a Sharpie.

I "loosely" based my card on the current fall-to-layout over at Clean & Simple Stamping...
