As a result one Ramakrishna (57) R/o Pandeshwara Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

No. KA-21-J-1304 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-M-5688 driven by one Mallikarjuna M.P. (54) R/o Mallapura Madihalli Belooru Taluk Hassan district. As a result motorcycle rider and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

On 15/05/2208 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging into Shashi Shetty R/o Penabettu house Beluvai village Mangalore Taluk breaking the front door lock and committed theft of silver ornaments and cash Rs. 750/ all in worth Rs. 3,000/.
  

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 14-15/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the shop at Nellikatte Puttur Town by breaking the door lock and committed theft of grocery articles all in worth Rs. 10, 500/.
  

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 14-15/05/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one John D’Souza (51) R/o Padill house Puttur Town by breaking door lock and committed of household items. On 15/05/2008 at 1730 hrs in front of Primary Health centre at Idya village Mangalore Taluk one Hiremutt driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. CNX-2295 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Imran (20) and Imran (20) and caused them serious injuries. Further both of them were succumbed to their injuries while on the way to hospital.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 16/05/2008 at 1115 hrs at Pumpwell Circle Kankanady Mangalore one Vinod Kumar driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-12-7239 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-5772. As a result Maiyyadi pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further motorcycle rider Hussain also sustained grievous injuries.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 16/05/2008 at 0715 hrs on NH 48 at Naguri Kankanady Mangalore one Yahya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. TN-54-1354 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thimmappa (65) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Wenlock Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day at 1310 hrs.

On 14/05/2008 at 2140 hrs on credible information PI DCIB along with staff conducted a raid near Seethamma compound Urwa Mangalore and seized 184 liquor bottles (180 ml) that were being kept illegally for sale. However accused one Ajith (20) R/o Seethamma compound Urwa Mangalore managed to escape from the scene.

As a result one Eric Lobo (41) R/o Kadri Mangalore driver of Maruti Omni car and his wife Saritha D’Souza who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries. The Maruti 800 car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

However accused one Shekara Poojary R/o Panapila village Mangalore Taluk managed to escaped from the scene.
  

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 12/05/2008 at 1800 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Kallapane Kodiyala village Sullia Taluk and seized 45 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,200/ by arresting one Sankappa Poojary K. (48) R/o Kodiyala village Sullia Taluk who was selling these liquor bottle illegally there.

Gambling Raid: Nine Arrested, Rs. 910 / seized

A case of Gambling under Karnataka Police Act has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 12/05/2008 at 1530 hrs on credible information PSI Subramanya PS along with his staff conducted a raid on public place at Poyyathoor Yedamangila village Sullia Taluk and seized 04 cocks, and cash Rs. 910/ by arresting Balakrishan, Laxminarayana, Thaniyappa and 6 others who were indulged in betting on cock fighting.

In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Subramanya PS U/s 87 of the Karnataka Police Act.

As a result one Thimmappa Gowda driver of said auto rickshaw sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.

Gambling Raid: Eight Arrested, Rs 1,943 / seized

On 02/05/2008 at 1730 hrs on credible information Sharath Kumar B.N. PSI Subramanya PS along with his staff conducted a raid at Mulubagilu Kollamogaru village Sullia Taluk and seized 3 cocks and cash Rs. 1,943/ by arresting Devakumar, Sundara, Somanatha, Divakara, Narayana, Purushothamas, Venkataramana M.K., Venkappa Gowda who were indulged in betting on cock fighting. However one Giriyappa Gowda managed to escape from the scene.

• A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. Where in one Vinod Jorge has been declared dead while under treatment on 30/04/2008 at 1520 hrs. The said Somappa Madiwala was seriously injured by a motorcycle road traffic accident on 29/04/2008 at 2315 hrs at Jappinamogeru Mangalore and admitted to the Omega Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has been already registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station.

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered Belthangady Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1030 hrs at Kalleri Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk one Ramakrishna Devadiga rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-2831 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which the motorcycle capsized. As a result one Vikas Devadiga (13) pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained serious injurious. Further he was admitted to Unity hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1415 hrs.

On 30/04/2008 at 2400 hrs at Yeyyadi Mangalore one unknown driver of jeep drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-7884. As a result one Dhananjaya (21) R/o Shakthinagar Mangalore rider of motorcycle and Sachin pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries. The driver of jeep escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 30/04/2008 at 1435 hrs at Kolekkadi Athikaribettu Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of auto rickshaw drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetick Nova scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6512 driven by one Jayalaxmi (42) R/o Karnadu Mangalore. As a result one Vidhya pillion rider of said scooter sustained grievous injuries. On 30/04/2008 at 1245 hrs at Suralpadi Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk one Mahammad Maksud rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V2394 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2264. As result auto rickshaw driver one Devadas M (56) , Surendra Rao who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw and motorcycle rider Maksud also sustained simple injuries.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 30/04/2008 at 1300 hrs on credible information PI Lottery and Excise detention squad Udupi along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Bajal cross at Jappinamogru and seized 144 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 4,746/ however the accused manages to escape from the scene who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there. The case handed over to Mangalore Rural Police for conducting further investigation.

On 30/04/2008 at 1800 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid on an open place at Thambuthadka Nidpalli village Puttur Taluk and seized 48 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,700/ and by arresting Koragappa Poojary (43) R/o Thambuthadka Nidpalli village Puttur Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
