Season's Greetings

I'm switching up things here after yesterdays post......it's now holiday time on the blog!  Stay tuned for holiday releases from both Whimsy Stamps and Lil' Inker Designs later this week!

To start things off today, I have a card using some Simon Says Stamp products.  I started out by sponging some white pigment ink using the Falling Snow stencil.  I white heat embossed my sentiment onto the sponged background.  I then diecut the Snowflake frame several times from the Holiday Frames dies.  I layered the frames but between them, I added a layer of vellum so that my snowflake would pop especially with the glittery frame.  The last thing I did was layer some white cardstock behind the glittery snowflake frame (which was elevated with foam adhesive).

Short and sweet today!  Hope you have a wonderful start to the week!

Trick or Treat!

Since Halloween is now less than a week away (and my favorite holiday), I thought I'd better share more Halloweenie goodness here on the blog!  My oldest (he's 12 going on 13) sadly is NOT dressing up this year......it's the first and so sad for me!  My daughter (just turned 9 last week) is going as a Gypsy Princess......no idea why but I think she kinda liked the costume!  LOL.  I will probably share a picture later.....

My card.  Reverse Confetti has an awesome sketch every month called A Sketch for You to Try (SFYTT).  This one was right up my alley by being CAS.  I used several of my favorite Halloween stamps from Reverse Confetti for this:  Spooky Cuties and Spooky Sentiments.  I stamped a few jack o' lanterns on the die cuts from Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts.

A is for Awesome

We had parent teacher conferences this week and I have to say my kids have some amazing teachers.  I think having great teachers makes for great kids.  My kids thrive on learning and both love to read and do math.  (crazy, right?)  I'll spare the grade cards but they are both doing so well and I couldn't be a more proud mom!

I'm sharing this simply stamped card using a stamp set called Smarty Pants by Whimsy Stamps.  Have you checked out the Clearly Whimsy line of stamps yet?  The designer, Simonne Clay, has designed fabulous designs and dies for Whimsy.  I'm glad to call her a friend and would love to show her some support from my blog!  You can check her designs out HERE.

Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter Inspiration Blog Hop!

Welcome!!!  I'm so excited to be sharing in the fun with the collaboration blog hop with Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter!  You should have arrived here via the Pretty Pink Posh blog.

I combined 2 fabulous sets from Winnie & Walter for this one:  The Big, the Bold, and Extras and The Big, the Bold, and You.  BOTH of these sets are amazing and I'm so glad they are in my stash now!

I started with a Stitched Tag from Stitched Duo 1 Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.  I stamped my flowers with pigment ink and stamped the outline with Black Memento ink.  I went back in with a Y35 Copic and added some flicks of shading.  The 2 yellow flowers I fussy cut out and popped up with dimensional foam.  I went back in and stamped some tiny dots (with a stamp from this set too)  to fill in some of the white space.  I really like white space but I thought this was a great addition to the space.  I stamped the sentiments and fussy cut the "you" out of vellum and added mini Glue Dots to show some dimension.

The last elements are those FABULOUS Pretty Pink Posh sequins!  I've used Lemon Meringue in 6mm and Sparkling Clear in 4mm.

Now......a blog hop HAS to have prizes, right?  Well, there are 2 prize packs up for grabs and the winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop by W&W and PPP.  Comments must be made by 11:59pm PDT on 10/27/14.

Here is the complete list of hop participants so you don't miss a stop!

A whole lotta.....

Happy.  This card just makes me start to sing that song.  LOL  It's one of those songs that can easily get stuck in your head!  :)

Here's a bright and "happy" card for my birthday stash.  I've used the Happy Everything stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.  I had fun stamping the balloons in fun bright colors!  There really was no rhyme or reason of the stamping but I kinda love how it turned out!  And I couldn't' resist adding in some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for a bit of sparkle!!!
