Divas Sketch Challenge 2

Morning All! It's time for a Diva Sketch Challenge. My computer mouse is not working correctly so I am having to use the one on the keypad (yeck!!!!!). I also can't figure out how to import the sketch itself so bear with me as I figure all this out LOL! Anyway, here's my version of the sketch!

Think about this scene:

It's 1:oo a.m and you can't sleep. Instead of counting sheep you grab your Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog and dream of all the stamps and supplies you want. Suddenly, you see a card that you really want to make with a set you don't yet own. What to do? Ruthie is probably not asleep but the rest of her house is (LOL!). NOW YOU CAN JUST LOG ON TO MY WEBSITE, go to the button under my information in the top right-hand corner that says "SHOP NOW", click and order RIGHT THEN!!!! Is that not the coolest?

Of course, this does not replace coming to stamp camps, clubs or workshops because we love getting together but it does serve that instant "need" we all have from time to time!

3d Star Tutorial

Woo hoo! I figured out how to get pictures with the text!

3D STAR TUTORIAL

Supplies:

Star Punch
Vellum Cardstock
Fiskars Cutter


Punch the star out and lay it in the cutter as pictured

Next, put the cutting track down and use your bone folder to score from the middle of the star to the top of the point

This is what the star looks like after all points have been scored:

Pinch the points along the fold line to make the star even more 3D:

Voila! A 3D star!

I use a Pop Up Glue Dot in the center of the star to attach it to the card. This also makes it stay 3D even if it goes through the mail.

This was one of my swaps for convention. I have a tutorial for how to make the star and as soon as I can figure out how to upload it here, I'll do it!


The recipe for the card is as follows:

Stamps: Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Night of Navy
Paper: Confetti White, Real Red, Night of Navy, Vellum Cardstock
Accessories: Large and Small Star punches
