Fresh & Easy?

Last weekend my mom, sister and I went to this new grocery store in Hemet. I guess the idea behind it is fresh food at cheap prices. The store carries mostly it's own brand and puts items on sale if it is about to reach it's expiration date. I love it mostly for the packaging, it is so cool and it feels like you are really getting something good. Anyway, they are opening up all throughout California. Look here to see if there is one close to you!

The Adventures of Wes and Kate

A couple of weekends ago my parents came down to their condo, my sister Jennifer and her son Wesley came down too. These are some of the pictures from that visit.

Wes looking for treasures on the beach. I love this picture.

Grandma and Wes going through what they found.

Kate's first time on a swing. She was really tired, I first thought that the sun was in her eyes but she looks the same in every picture. I think she was falling asleep. Sad.

Wes was checking Kate's ears with his doctor's kit.

A Laker's Jersey, a Prairie Diamond and Cherokee People

Tomorrow will be our 6 year anniversary and I thought that instead of writing about how wonderful Ryan is and how lucky I am to have him, I would write about the proposal that started this blessed union.

Ryan came home to beautiful Hemet after serving the lord in Atlanta, Georgia for two years. We wrote each other his entire mission (with the exception of 40 days) and we could not wait to see each other again. My plan was to see how things were and slowly ease back into a relationship. His plan was geared around the commitment pattern. Three days later I find myself being wisked away by my sister and my unsuspecting friends Angela and Amanda to the Ramona Bowl (an outdoor theater in Hemet), where my knight in a bright gold, purple and white Lakers jersey awaits.

It would have been the perfect 80's movie scene with him leaning against his sister's car with the only radio station in Hemet blasting away. Anything that was said that night was overshadowed by everything else that happened. He then did the old magic trick of pulling something out behind my ear, he drops it and I find Ryan on one knee asking me that famous question. In his hand he is holding a Prairie diamond.

Ryan sent away for it from Nauvoo at the end of his mission. We then reluctantly danced to celebrate the occasion to the song that was playing at the time "Cherokee People" By Paul Revere and the Raiders. This was the image that came up and I thought it was perfect.

The proposal was not exactly what I had in mind, but coming from Ryan would I have expected anything else? It will forever go down in history as a funny but awkward time in our lives. Even though it was a little stressful getting our marriage started, I think I made the right choice by marrying him, he is the best thing in my life. Here are some more pictures from the past:
