Spring Break With The Hill's: Texas Style

We tried new and interesting places to eat.

The cousins got to pick up the other cousins from school.

We had to show them the bat bridge in Round Rock.

Magnolia Market - of course.

Threadgill's. Good job Jenny on finding this place out.

A lot of clown car-ing it.

 The couch potatoes.

Austin Park n Pizza!!

And of course, the Round Rock and those wagon wheel ruts.

Always a fun time with the Hill's.

Strawberry Picking

One thing that I am really grateful for with all of our moves is there is always at least one girl that I hit it off with. In Texas, it has been my friend Emily, she is definitely one of those people that it is super easy and you feel like you've known them forever. An extra bonus is that our kids match up in ages and that is always nice. We met up at a Strawberry Patch and had a nice day in nature.
I love those days and I'm really grateful for nice people.

We went to lunch afterwards and ate under this huge Live Oak.
I really have grown fond of this type of tree since living in Texas.

Bluebonnets. Are You Kidding Me?!

One thing that surprised me about Texas was it's beauty. The landscape is different, but man, there have been so many times that I wished I could get a shot of whatever view I was seeing as I was driving. One thing that blows my mind is the abundance of wild flowers in the spring. Bluebonnets along the side of the road and other varieties of flowers everywhere and it is my absolute favorite.

These pictures are maybe only something that I can appreciate, but I had to share them. I would never lay on a pillow of Bluebonnets like the Dixie Chicks sing about on account of the bugs. I hate bugs. But I get why they included them in Cowboy Take Me Away because there is something so dreamy about them.
One of my favorite things about Texas, hands down.
