Red Ribbon Week Parade

Kate was walking in the Red Ribbon Week Parade with PAL and she made the banner that they carried. We loaded up the family and went to cheer her on and ended up walking in the parade when the kid's elementary school walked by. It was a win for all.

Olivera Street - AKA Walking All Over The Streets

We have always wanted to check out Olivera Street in LA. One Saturday we were like, "Let's go." Without having done very much research, we loaded up the kids and headed to Olivera Street. Once we finally got there after trying to find parking we quickly realized that this was no place for a three year old that wanted everything he saw from the vendors. Lots of fits. We took a break and the kids saw someone with a baby turtle that they said they got in China town just up the road. I thought awesome, let's do two places in one trip. Ryan wasn't so sure about that, but we did it. It ended up being a further and more sketchy walk than I had thought and not what I was envisioning, so everyone was grouchy by the time we got back to Olivera Street that we kept walking straight to the car. Not every day trip is a winner, but the pictures look nice.
