Pinkfresh Studio and Papermaze

I am up on the Papermaze blog with this post

Hi Tracee with you today, hope everyone is enjoying some nice bank holiday crafting time!

I was looking around for inspiration this month and joined in a Scraplift challenge (the page I scraplifted is at the bottom of the post) over at a US site called Paper Issues. I used one of the new Pinkfresh collections called Dream On.

You & Me

The colours for my page were inspired by the blue and oranges that are in the Puffy Sticker pack and I stuck mainly to these colours, bringing out my distress inks for a mixed media background.

For my background I used the Delight sheet from the collection. Along with the puffy stickers I used lots of bits and pieces that have been sent to me in my DT kit over the past few months, I gather them up and put them in a little box and each time I make a page I have a sift through to see if there is anything I can use.

I used some cut files again on my page and I used the Tim Holtz distress inks on them to create an ombre effect. I added some texture paste through a stencil to my background also. Instead of using lots of patterned paper behind my photo I tore strips of washi tape and layered them over one another.

This is the gorgeous page by Rachael Lowe I chose to scraplift

Paper Issues Take 5 Challenge

I was looking around for some scrappy inspiration I came across the challenges at Paper Issues. There are lots of different ones to  along with and this is the first of 3 that I played along with for August, I will share the others over the next few days.

Magical Memories

As well as some fun challenges they have a ton of free Silhouette files for you to download, I used 3 of them on my page. I was inspired by the Magic Unicorn file even tho I didn't actually use that particular one on my page.

I recently visited my Bestest Scrappy friend Debbi in the USA and we had the most magical time, we took lots of photo's for us both to scrap. We use the same pictures same challenge and the results are always very different, you can see Debbi's take on the challenge here. I used the 2017 Happy New Year file to frame my photo, I added a Photo Play patterned paper behind the numbers. I used the Scallop Background file in strips behind my frame title to this I added washi tape and gold and pink splatters.

Last time I was at Debbi's I bought these really cute Unicorn puffy stickers, I couldn't resist using them. The star wand sticker is a very old one by Echo Park. For the life of me I cannot recall where the Love sticker is from but it added a little something something to my page.
I will be back soon to share more of the challenges I completed this month

Girls just wanna have fun

My blogpost for the Papermaze blog

girls wanna have fun tracee provis scrapbook layout paprmaze simple stories

Hi, Tracee with you today to share another layout I created with the Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness collection. I usually end up with lots of scraps from my pages and the pieces aren't usually big enough to keep and yet to large to throw away, so by using a die cut background piece I was able to utilise some of those scraps

I roughly cut around the flowers individually then adhered the scrap pieces to the back in a random style. I added enamel dots to the centre of each flower, this time I matched the dots to the flower. I have a huge stash of enamel dots, I seem to have become addicted and instead of hoarding them like I usually do, I used quite a few on my page, there is a good supply of them in the shop and you can find them here . I also added word stickers called "Little Bits" by Bella Boulevard and these also come in a great range of colours.

Instead of a alpha title I used one of the cut aparts that is found in the 6 x 6 pad, I layered it and then added a couple of staples for interest. The girls that are found throughout the collection make a great little embellishment. I hope your summer is a fun one!

Hook Line & Sinker with Bella Boulevard and Papermaze

Today I am up on the Papermaze blog with this post

Happy Friday! Tracee with you today to share a layout created with the fun Secrets of the Sea collection by Bella Boulevard.

I was completely inspired by this sheet, called finding fishies. I could just imagine all those fun colourful fishes swimming around!

I love to fussy cut my photos and create a little scene with them, me and my husband are always taking silly pictures, I thought this crazy one of us was perfectly placed in the fishbowl that I cut out on my Cameo.

I fussy cut some of the fish from the paper, there are lots of different ones and they are different orientations too which I like, we don't want our fish all swimming in the same direction after all do we! I also cut some seaweed from both plain cardstock and vellum to add some different textures to the page. For my background I used some gel paste that I coloured with various blue mists, I made sure i didn't mix the colours too evenly through the paste and that gave me some variations.

The stencil I used is very similar to this new "Bubbly" Kaisercraft one.

I used my cameo once again to cut out the "Hook" word, I added some of the Fish Parade sheet to the back and couldn't resist fussy cutting a small fish to swim across it. The "I Love You" strip came from part of the saying on the Borders sheet. The rest of my title was made up of random thickers, Vanessa has a great choice over at the shop.

Hope you all have a Happy Scrappy weekend!

I'm Busy with Simple Stories Domestic Bliss for Papermaze

I have this post up today on the Papermaze blog

Happy Friday, hope you all have some crafty plans for the weekend.
I am here to share with you a layout I created using the new Domestic Bliss collection by Simple Stories.

I'm Busy by Tracee

When I first saw the name of this collection I was a little hesitant.... "housework" but really this is collection is full of beautiful colours and lots of neat touches that don't require you to have a photograph of you doing your best hoovering pose lol.

I took the I can't adult sheet and started by using some mists on my background paper mimicking the colours in the collection.  One of the 3 x 4 journaling card elements was perfect for this photo of my granddaughter "busy doing nothing" on her I pad. The hoover sticker was tongue in cheek as like most 12 year olds, when they are on a electronic device, nothing can interrupt them lol.

I loved these pot plants, I fussy cut them and stood them on top of the American Crafts chipboard sticker. Don't they look cute? I have really enjoyed working with this collection, there are so many cool elements and the colours just sing to you.

Simple Stories Love & Adore cards for Papermaze

I am up on the Papermaze blog today with this post.

Hi I'm here to share with you some Valentine cards with the Simple Stories Love & Adore Collection,  this collection celebrates all things love and so with that in mind I used one of these cards for my dear hubby's birthday today.

Before I share the cards, I just wanted to share a very simple way to pretty up a gift.

I wrapped the box in some brown paper, added a string bow, then I simply added one of the tickets that came in the ephemera pack....... there I told you it was really easy, I think it looks really effective for minimal effort.

I love to mix old with new I used some pieces from the chipboard pack to create part of my sentiment and then I found some older thickers to make up the rest. I'm sure lots of us have some packs that have been sitting around for ages, if you don't you can just pop over to the shop HERE and there is a massive selection in stock.

I kept with the same theme of my first card, with the Love title and this time I cut it from one of the sheets of paper in the collection I added another cut apart piece from the 6 x 6 pad and joined it together with a little washi tape. I also cut one of the XO's from another sheet leaving a small white edge so they stand out a little.

Some of the pieces I used on my cards were remnants of a layout made with the same collection that I will be sharing later in the month.

A very Retro Christmas with Authentique (Papermaze DT)

I am up on the Papermaze blog today with this post.

Happy Friday to you all, today I am here to share a Christmas mini book that I have created.
I finally got myself in the festive mode and not a moment too late as Christmas is almost upon us.

This book is sort of my version of December Daily, I like the concept but it doesn't really work for me, so I decided just to document December as and when things happen.
I used the Retro Christmas collection by Authentique, this collection has a fun mix of patterns and images from Christmas past.

I fussy cut the Santa head from the Newspaper Clips sheet and added him to my layered papers. The cute little sprinkles shapes are by Doodlebug and there are plenty in the pack for me to use on the inside pages as well. The 2016 are Thickers in a nice shiny metallic gold colour, I also used some Make It Merry stickers by Bella Boulevard added in here and there.

I will be back later in the month to share some of the inside pages of this 6 x 6 chipboard album.
Hope your Christmas preparations are going smoothly.
