Year Three Week Thirty-Five - CHRISTMAS!!

Twas the week before Christmas and all through the town there were astronauts, pirates, and princesses to be found. But what to my wondering eye should appear, but a great costume for my imagination to endear.
So I flew to the car and to Moses Lake we did go. Where my wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, and a grandma did glow.
But what was lurking in the snow with much dread? Scary Daddy! Let's run or escape with our sled instead!

We spent much time playing board games galore. We couldn't get enough we wanted more, more, more!
Returning to the snow where our games were quite varied, I brought loved ones in tow to help me get buried.
With each passing day as Christmas drew nearer. I made sure I was a good boy so Santa's choice was clearer.
To be on the nice list was my endeavor. I even tried some new foods, gingerbread and snowman pancakes...isn't Mom clever.
Texas hold 'em was a favorite of the adults this year. And to their surprise it was my Mom they would fear.
Christmas Eve! It is here, with all it's traditions.
Pajamas as an old one and a Jesus birthday cake as a new rendition.
All my hard work panned out on Christmas day. With lots of toys and love thrown my way.
Christmas was wonderful as you can tell from the above. So to you I say Merry Christmas to all that I love.

Year Three Week Thirty-Four

Grandpa took me to the library for some mind expanding activities.
Grandpa and I had so much fun being silly and playing around. Thanks for visiting, Grandpa! We love you!
With these skates and binoculars, I really look like Wall-E!
Our ward Christmas party didn't have Santa but it was still fun for us kids.
Shayla and I held hands nearly the entire time while playing at the mall.
Jessalyn and I can find common ground playing with cars and wearing silly glasses.
As fun as our ward party was, it didn't hold a candle to Aunt Missy's Christmas party!
Santa! Yep, Santa showed up much to my delight. I was the first kid on his lap and continued to hover close by him. After all of the other kids had their turn, I got to sit on his lap again and again.
White elephant presents!
I think Jessalyn is so cute!
Vincent and I love to make up our own games like volley-basket-rugby-sunglasses-ball.
We have some adorable videos with me and Santa to upload so check back in a bit.

Year Three Week Thirty-Three

Halo! The best way to spread holiday cheer, is to sing loudly for all to hear.Ta-da! Super Dallin!
This is how I carry the bags from stores now.
I spy with my little eye, something cute!
You better watch out, you better not cry,
you better not pout, I'm telling you why.
Grandpa came into town!
I don't want to go to sleep. Grandpa is too much fun.
We had our primary Christmas activity with a lot of my friends from church.
Aunt Missy wants to know why her kids eat so much better at my house and I eat so much better at her house. Go figure or go bananas!
Grandpa was very accommodating for a guest. He made the perfect leg rest. Of all the Grandpas I've met, he's the best! I must be pretty blessed.
Popcorn time is here.
Families drawing near.
Happiness and cheer!

Year Three Week Thirty-Two

Christmas is coming and I'm ready to cruise along with it! So many places to go, and so many things to hide in and pop out of. (Don't worry, Mom had a discussion with us boys about hiding in places like this.)The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place to live, no matter the season. Look, it's-a Mario!
Christmas! While riding in the car the other day I decided to just start shouting out the things of Christmas that I love. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! CHRISTMAS TRESS! Then Mom joined in too.
Dad is working so hard on school this quarter, I decided to help out with lunch one day. Hmmm...what's next...
Speaking of working hard, Dad and I got on the roof to clean out the gutters. It's a good thing our roof has a low pitch to it.
What do you think? Am I ready to get on the slopes?
But why do one sport when you can do four!
While not a real snow covered mountain, I still enjoyed it.
Now that the gutters are clean, time to put up the CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!
And of course there is SANTA! I talked with him three times this week. He was at two malls and he even came to my Mom's work party to give us an early present. I was patiently waiting my turn and when it came, I ran in the room and jumped right up to Santa stretching my arms out to sit on his lap. I think I surprised him because he exclaimed, "Is this the shy kid?". Silly Santa.
Still so much to do, like blow the leaves on the grass to be mowed up. Believe it or not, I was successful in picking the blower up and maneuvering it.
The stake center had displays of different nativity sets. But there was a special room to keep us kids busy and away from the fragile figures. Can you tell I was excited to give Jesus a gift?
More Christmas busy-ness and fun coming next week too when Grandpa comes to visit!

Year Three Week Thirty-One

What a wonderful winter week we had! I had just helped Dad attach the chain adaptors to his car and Mom was putting the finishing touches on dinner when a snow storm arrived and knocked our power out. Luckily I had my super bright ARC reactors fully charged to save the day. Unfortunately, we were in the middle of a laundry load so we did what any sensible family would do in this situation. We quickly packed up the car, loaded up the frosty laundry, and drove through the heart of the storm to Grandma's house! And we thought that we had a lot of snow.
We played so many fun games together like Robo Rally, Sequence, Chess, Imaginiff, Betrayal, King Aardvark, Epic Duels, Magic, Scattegories, Pictionary, Texas Hold'em, Set, Oodles, Smash Bros, Android Encounter, and the crowd favorite, Just Dance. The Kellys also brought their Kinect!
Playing in the deep snow was perhaps my favorite activity though, especially throwing snowballs at my family.
Uncle Ryan had to shovel the roof so that his awe-inspiring musical Christmas light show could be seen.
Once there was a snowman.
I was a little excited for Uncle Danny's birthday presents.
The Despain ladies received gifts too.
Fun times were had.
When the temperature dropped too low, we headed to the pool!
Zoom-zoom! Mommy was flying through the water like Rescue!
Perfect pool party.
In addition to the activities we had been playing, we discovered a new game that's like musical chairs but with ties.
Another freezing day so off to the gym for more fun activities.
Stopping for a quick camera break before getting back in the action.
Dad drove back home Thanksgiving evening to get the ridiculous black Friday deals. His first stop was Toys'RUs which had the longest line he'd ever seen, stretching past two buildings and around two parking lots! The trip worked out well with tremendous savings and he joined us the next day.
Cute!
Red and black day.
Natalie really got into her Thanksgiving dinner.
Coming back home was much quicker so we put up the Christmas tree.
I helped decorate the tree. Can you tell?
