2013, Week Four

While enjoying the Seattle Train Show at the Science Center, we ran into the Chans!
Dallin was on top of all things trains.
Keegan isn't as keen on trains as his big brother is so we stopped at one of his favorite places.
 The butterfly house!
 Up close and personal.
 Choo-choo!
 Dallin the train conductor.
An entire Thomas the Train set made out of Lego's.  Dallin was in heaven.
These guys are getting used to photos, as you can see.
And here's another art piece.
Keegan loves to pick up his big brother at the bus stop, rain or shine.
Now that's a little drummer boy.
Tara the Beautiful.
The California Kellys came up for Vincent's birthday and Dave, Shawn, and Orlando raced at Sykart.
Happy birthday, Vincent!
 Now it's a party!
We love it when Vincent gets to spend Sunday afternoons with us.

2013, Week Three

 Best bowling buddies!
Keegan got stuck but didn't mind one bit as we laughed with him.
Recognize, sons.
Dane took Orlando out to see the Hobbit movie finally.  Orlando liked it so much that he's determined to take Tara to see it too.  A cool coincidence to note, a ton of fog has lingered this week ever since Orlando and Dane visited the Shire.
Dallin and Noah helped Elder Lee clean up after a super fun activity.
Mom's back!  She had a wonderful time with lots of her friends as they took a weekend out for themselves.
Shayla, Dallin, and Vincent helped Orlando run some errands around town.
These three had a wonderful time.
Shayla loved exploring the princess castle and trying on the accessories.  The boys were good sports.
All aboard the fun time kid's play area!
Time to learn about the wonderfully ingenious design that is the Tesla automobile.
Keegan's peeking-at-you!

2013, Week Two

Swim lessons continue with Vincent too!
Three little drummer boys.
Upon hearing a thunderous Crash! we ran to investigate only to find Keegan, content as can be, and immersed in his books. It's hard to be upset by the mess when he's reading!
Check out one of our newest ad favorite rainy day activities in the video above. (You really need to view it on YouTube and at the highest quality).
Welcome to Dallin's city of the future. It's an ever-evolving landscape of creativity.
Dallin the dynamic drummer dazzles and delights.
The spectacular Seattle Seahawks were down by 20 points so it was time to pull out the big guns. Dallin and Shayla to the rescue! The Seahawks surged and took the lead with only seconds left in the game! Unfortunately, the Atlanta Falcons managed to somehow win in those final moments. What an exciting game thanks in part to our cheer leaders!

2013, Week One

Why is Keegan so happy?
Maybe because it's a brand new year full of wonderful opportunities!
Dallin played it cool at the dentist.
The pet store is a good bet for a rainy day activity.

Merry Christmas, Dallin!  You're going to a monster truck show!

The show started off with an elimination-style race between the fourteen monster trucks.  Dallin wanted Captain America to win and win he did, all the way into the final race against Grave Digger, who ended up winning.
This fire breathing robo-dragon construct was quite interesting, despite moving so slowly.

It ripped cars in half and ate them too!
Dallin was worried that it would be too loud, (he happens to be sensitive to loud noises), but with earplugs, he was just fine.  You can see the dilapidated mess of a monster truck in the picture above.  Only a few trucks remained unscathed by the end of the day.
Captain America flying high in the freestyle competition!

Dallin was having too much fun and the night was still young so we explored the Automotive Museum.
Orlando and Dallin both liked this innovative and rare 1948 Tucker car with the three headlights.  Only 51 were ever produced!
Classic cars, race cars, vintage cars, you name it.  With such a crazy assortment, it's no wonder they were driving up the walls!
Meanwhile back at home, Keegan was enjoying cars in his own special color-changing way.
 Zoom-zoom!

2013 - Changes to the blog starting this year

Happy New Year!
You may recall the post we published a while back regarding the formatting issues that came about after blogspot "upgraded" their user's interface.  While some of them have resolved, a few still remain.  The two biggest gripes for us would be the inability to center photos on the page and the placement of the text that corresponds with photos.  We preferred to have the text on top of the photos but from this point onward, we will need to attach it to the bottom of the pictures.
We will also be adding a permanent link to our videos that are posted on YouTube!  The newest ones will be featured but you can easily access your favorites by following the links.
Here's to a beautiful beginning!

PS -  A weird issue to note. If you are viewing this blog on Chrome or Safari, then the formatting issues will be more apparent than if you view it on Explorer.  Weird because this blog and Chrome are both under the Google umbrella, and yet it looks best when viewed with Explorer.

2012, New Year's Eve

The last night of 2012 and we had a rockin' good time with the Garrs.
Thankfully we live in a globally-connected world where we can stream new year's celebrations from around the world.  This way the kids can ring in the new year and still get to bed on time!
Those boys were by far the most entertaining part of the night.
Happy New Year!
