While Tim was here this past weekend we decided to go check out Verizon and At&t for their phones and their plans. Both would cost about the same each month, but Verizon we could get a discount with his mom signing up for another plan, which in turn actually would've cost more, because we would have to change over his number which would cost money. I would need a new phone (I didn't care for any of them). Where with At&t we could have less minutes and only Tim would have to get a new phone.
So we decided to go with At&t, we were able to get Tim and I a new phone. I got one since i was eligible for an upgrade, that put the costs right there cheaper for us. Plus we'll receive rebates for both phones, that Verizon didn't have to offer at this time on any. Needless to say I'm glad we made this choice, plus having new phones has been very nice, I keep learning new things about it and I've probably used the word love twenty million times, in regard to the phone and not including the times i used it in reference to Tim :) We both have the same phone and I'm pretty sure Tim likes it too.
The phone has things I kept wishing my old one had. Plus Tim and I will be paying for smaller payment, which will help us out, and we can talk together when ever we want to and not have to wait until our night and weekend minutes open up :) which we haven't used yet but that was the one thing we both hated about being on different plans, so problem solved :) Plus on At&t we'll be able to talk with my family who is all on At&t that have phones (at least to my knowledge) and they don't have texting like Tim's family does. Overall it was the best decision for us, which is what matters.

Surprise
Friday night, the 23rd of October, I was sitting at a table in our family room making a necklace for me to wear on the day of the wedding. Jared (my little bro) and Caci (his girlfriend) were sitting in there with me watching t.v. When all the sudden the door that goes into the garage opens up and in enters Tim. I was very surprised he was there and I think I even jumped some. I have a huge smile on my face as he comes over to say hi. Then look at the time to see what time it is. Why you might ask? He told me about 15 mins prior that he was near Glenns Ferry and had barely started moving after being stopped because of an accident. Which frankly surprised me but not overly, since I have never experienced that part of the freeway being stopped due to an accident, but then again I haven't really traveled it much. Plus about 6 o'clock is when he told me that they were barely leaving, so that and the accident put him here roughly around midnight.
Turns out he actually left closer to 4, when he was stopped "near" Glenns Ferry he was actually at his grandparents talking with his mom, and when he was moving again he was on his way to my house. He said he wanted to surprise me and help keep my life interesting and that he did. :) It was a very pleasant surprise and I was so happy to have him there for this past weekend. We spent a lot of time with his family and also with my family, which was fun, not something we've been able to do much.
He's back in Rexburg until Thanksgiving and I'm here in Boise too, unless a job interview comes up out there :) After Thanksgiving we have until he's done with school, which will only be a couple weeks. During then and the wedding we'll get to see a lot more of each other, it's still up in the air what Christmas entails for me, to very good decisions to choose from :) I'll be very, very, very thankful when this long distance thing is over with.

Sewing and then some
With in the last couple weeks, I've been busy getting everything I could get done for the wedding that required my mom to help out with. :) It was crazy but we do have all the bridesmaid outfits done now and mom is going to be working on our table clothes once she has everything unpacked and settled. This last week was the week that mom left and i was busy helping her pack up what i could.
We also cleaned out our sewing room and found a project, from when my sister Elizabeth was pregnant with her daughter Madison. We finished those and gave them to Elizabeth and Madison, they were pj pants that matched, meant for Emily and Elizabeth, oh well we had four different fabrics and at least got done with two of them.
We also were able to put the different patterns together that we have bought over the years and never really all got back into their folders. We even found Elizabeth's wedding dress pattern, from 7 years ago, which we had been looking for when mom played with the idea to make my wedding dress, but had no luck then. We ended up buying another pattern but mom didn't feel confident enough to make the style of dress I wanted, because she had never made the type of dress before. So instead we bought the dress and it arrived here last Thursday. :) Mom was bummed that she wasn't able to be here and see it.
Mom left of Wednesday with dad and headed down to Utah and then made their way across the country, dad a little slower then mom. Due to his truck not working in Illinois and need to be checked out before he could continue on. They'll both be there together tonight.
On Wednesday I started working on my other sewing projects I had started and thankfully am done with them all minus one dress that needs hemmed, but my last attempt at hemming that wasn't successful so I'm taking a break on it, and considering an alternate way to hem it. I also have one dress that mom was helping me with that i finished, but when i tried it on it was a little to big so I'll have to alter it some. I'm not to worry about finishing it since it's meant as my dress i wear on the wedding day when I don't wear my actual dress.
Thursday I went to Elizabeth's and tried my dress on, and i must say I LOVE IT!!!! it's so beautiful, I fell in love with it the moment mom showed me a picture of it :) I also went out shopping with Elizabeth Thursday night for some wedding things.
Friday was a day spent in rearranging my room and clothing. Mom took my bed with her since it was the guest bed and dad would be needing a bed while he is here off and on the next couple months. It was in sorts winter cleaning getting rid of anything I didn't use or need anymore and even if I did I got rid of it if Tim and I wouldn't need it once we were married. There is still more to do and a ton to put into boxes to start the packing process. ;) I also spent time cutting out squares from scrapes of fabric. I have accumulated lots of scraps over the years from making skirts and pj pants. :) So know I'm going to make some baby quilts for what I have left, and maybe even turn out a big one but that's a little doubtful.
