Vancouver Trip (Thomas's 2nd month part 3)

After getting to Vancouver late on the 10th. We relaxed the next day. Tim's sisters were LOVING having Thomas and Kenneth there and they took over most of their care while I was there which helped me so much!

The next thing I remember besides going to Church on Sunday the 13th was heading to the beach after Church. Brittany and her friend Anthony headed over before us as they got out of church earlier. They had some dinner waiting for us when we got there and after eating a little bit we headed to go walk the beach. Kenneth loved it.

We spent until Wednesday morning over there. Mainly just relaxing either at the beach house or on the beach. Kenneth loved building sand castles and he "closed the door" on Anthony's castle, meaning he completely demolished it. So adorable. Monday morning when we were walking Anthony found a ladybug and Kenneth was obsessed with ladybugs at this point because grandma was reading him the Grouchy Ladybug at night. He loved to see it and hold it and even knew the line "Wanna Fight". So adorable. Monday afternoon we went and got ice cream and they luckily had some sorbet that Kenneth could eat. He loved getting to eat "ice cream" from a cone.

Once we were back from the beach we continued to relax and enjoy time with Tim's family. As you can tell I can't remember what we did after the beach. I'm positive shopping was involved. We also went to see Kendra at work because she wanted to show off her nephews. Plus I went to a Relief Society Activity that was really fun with Cheryl (Tim's mom). We also watched quite a few movies that I had been wanting to watch but hadn't yet with Tim's sisters. One day we went to see Tim's Cousin Andrew. The next day we went with Andrew and his two boys to the zoo. It was so much fun! We headed back to Boise on the 23rd of July. That trip went a lot better than the one to Vancouver.

Kenneth loved playing with his daddy's and uncle's Legos eventually we'll get him some

July 19th I drove down to Salem with the Boys and went to a art fair with my friends the Dennets. It was so fun to hang out with them again. Lindsey and I use to hang out almost everyday before she moved to Salem.

Trip to Vancouver (Thomas's Second Month part 2)

Thomas and I enjoyed spending time together and getting to nap when needed. I also worked on some projects. On the 9th we went  to my doctor's appointment to get checked up. It was a weird appointment only because my mom was on vacation still and wasn't there, like she had been in the past. Right after the appointment I headed to Boise. It was good to see Kenneth again and give him loves again. I went there because I was going with the boys and Tim's mom to Vancouver for a few days.

We headed out on the 10th in the morning after breakfast. It was a good but long long drive. I drove the first part until we stopped for lunch in Baker City at DQ so I could feed Thomas and Kenneth could get out.

Then we continued onward, for another couple hours until he had to eat again. At that stop I took off my wedding ring like I always did because it would cut into Thomas's skin and that made me sad to see or it would cut into my finger. Anyways so Tim's mom Cheryl didn't realize I had done that until after she had flipped the blanket it was on in Thomas's car seat and then we walked away because I spaced that I had it on until it dawned on me. Luckily the people that came to that spot right after us were a great family that all helped us look. Cheryl finally was able to find it in the grassed which was a huge relief to me. I just about cried thinking I wouldn't find it. So after that excitement we continued on.

Then again another couple hours later we decided to stop for dinner in Hood River. I was in the middle of telling Tim about almost loosing me ring, when we got into a car accident. Cheryl T-boned a car that came out in front of us in an intersection. Luckily both cars were fine and we were able to get off the busy road and exchange information. I fed Thomas during that time. Then Cheryl and I went into the Wal-mart that was there in hopes to find something quick to eat for all of us to hold us over until we got back to Vancouver.

Unfortunately by the time we got from Hood River to Portland was right around rush hour and so we decided to pull off again because Thomas wanted to eat again by that time. Once we finally got through that craziness and back home it was late and we were all tired of being in the car. Their neighbors were having a yard sale that weekend and allowed us to go over and look before others came. We were able to get some shoes for Thomas, puzzles for Kenneth, and a few other things as well. We enjoyed eating dinner and letting Kenneth have fun being crazy before we sent him to bed.

4th of July weekend (Thomas's Second Month Part 1)

Again time got away from me.  Thomas's Second Month went by really quickly. Part of that is because it was really busy.

The first thing we did was head to Boise on July 3rd. My parents left with Jared and Winnie earlier that day. Tim got in and the van was packed and we decided to just head out. We stopped for the night at Tim's grandparents'. Everyone that hadn't gotten to see Thomas and were still up were so happy to see him. We got there around 11pm so it was late and we were tired. Trying to get Kenneth to bed that night was interesting but we did.

The next day around noon we headed up to my grandpa's cabin in Placerville. It was great getting there Liz and Joe were up there too. Kenneth loved going out and playing with cousins. I enjoyed relaxing inside with everyone. Ben and Sara got there later that day. We had crafts for the kids to play and played games together as well.

On the 5th the town of Placerville was having a celebration that we all decided to go to. It was fun to see and walk around. Tim and I headed to Boise from there. We were able to spend more time with his family. It was good to be able to relax, there too and see everyone love on the boys.

On the 6th Tim's mom took Kenneth to church and Tim and I just enjoyed time together and with Thomas. I had thought about actually going to church but Tim decided we would stay home. Shortly after we ate after they got home from church we headed back to Burley and then Tim from there went to Utah. Kenneth stayed with Tim's mom in  Boise.

Thomas's first month/ June happenings

Thomas's first month went by way to fast! I thought it did with Kenneth but with having two kids life was just crazy fast.

Lets start from right after he was born. That Thursday I called everyone in my family that I knew would want to know. To say they were surprise was an understatement. My sister in law Amanda had had a baby 15 days earlier but we were all expecting these two to be closer to a month apart.

When talking to my sister Elizabeth, she asked if I was still ok with her coming up for that weekend. I of course said yes as I still wanted to see her and her kids. She got here that Friday and we all enjoyed hanging out for the weekend. Saturday mom, dad, Elizabeth, and her kids all went out Geocaching. They were kind enough to take Kenneth along too so that Tim and I could rest. As nice as that was I realized again that when I take naps during the middle of the day, I tend to stay up really late that night. They also took Kenneth to church the next day, Tim had thought about going but we slept in too late and I loved spending extra time with him.

That Monday June 2nd Thomas had a doctor appointment. That first outing with two kids by myself wasn't fun but had to be done. The next two days I went to my internship to finish up, again trying to get two kids ready and out took a while. Thomas also had to be tested for Jaundice those two days. Everyone at my internship were so excited to see Thomas.

Thursday the 5th of June after mom got home from work we quickly packed and all headed down to Elizabeth's. We got there late and all went to bed after talking for a little bit. The next day mom and dad flew out to Texas. My niece Isa was being blessed that weekend so they went down to be there for it. Elizabeth and I spent time just enjoying one another's company and letting all the kids run around and play. We did go to lunch in the park which was prefect. That night Tim came down and the adults all had dinner together after the kids were in bed. Then Tim took us back to his aunts house for the night.

The next day after Tim did some chores and then we headed to do some shopping together. After shopping, Tim grabbed some clothes to spend the night with us. Joe and Tim after dinner and the kids were in bed again went to get us all a treat. Then we watched some TV shows before going to bed. On Sunday Tim and Kenneth went to church, while Thomas and I stayed home with Asher who wasn't feeling good. My cousin Micheal and his family came over for dinner that night which was great to talk with them. It was so hard saying goodbye to Tim that day. The next day Elizabeth and I did much of the same of what we did Friday. Mom and Dad got back from Texas. We left for Burley after dinner.

That next week wasn't too exciting. Jared and Winnie came to visit that following weekend. They loved loving on Thomas and playing with Kenneth. Since Tim hadn't come up that weekend and it was father's day Jared got a treat and shared with all of us. This was also Thomas's first Sunday at church, he was adorable in his church outfit.

The following weekend Kenneth went with Brittany and AJ to their family reunion. I'll admit it was so so nice to not have to worry about him. They arrived Friday night, we enjoyed spending time with them. Saturday the 21st they left for Victor, ID where the reunion was. They left right after lunch. The five of us left all went to Twin Falls to do the parade of homes they had going on that weekend. I think we saw a total of 20 plus homes. It was fun and made my desire to own a house even greater, hopefully once Tim has a good job we can get one quickly! Once we were done we went out to eat to celebrate mom and dad's anniversary. It was pretty good food.
Before going to bed that night though, my stomach was upset, I had no idea what that really meant. I found out shortly after what it did entail. I got sick every half hour from about 5 am to 12 pm. It was awful. Once I finally got a little of juice in me it spread out longer and I was able to sleep some. I was so weak. Luckily Thomas didn't seem to need to eat as much that day it was a blessing. Tim had to go back which was awful to see him go. After he had left mom took over helping me out with Thomas because I was so weak I kept feeling like I was going to fall over or pass out. Luckily the next day I was feeling better and able to get some things accomplished. Kenneth came back Tuesday the 24th.

The rest of the month went by pretty quickly. Thomas grew and gained weight right the way he needed too.
He was born at 7 pounds 11 ounce, dropped to 7 pounds 3 ounce at his 5 day appointment. Then at his 2 week appointment he was back to 7 pounds 11 ounces. then he was 8 pounds 9 ounces at an appointment we had  around three weeks because he was sounding exactly like all of us who were sick did. :( The doctor had us pick up a suction machine to help clear out all the snot, because from it he was having a hard time breathing which in turn meant eating. At his one month appointment he weighed 9 pounds 3 ounce and was 21.5 inches.

That month was hard and certainly went by way too quickly. Sorry for the long post. but at least there were some cute pictures this time. :)
