Things Im GRATEFUL For:

There are so many things to be grateful for this year. I am so grateful for this time of year so I am forced to reflect on our many blessings.

1. I am so thankful for my Savior and his unconditional love. Im grateful for his Atonement and all he has done for me. We are so blessed to have his gospel in our lives.
2. Is thankful for the scriptures and all they teach us. Im thankful for the temples and the chance I get to go there and be closer to our Heavenly Father.
3. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He is a such a great man. He is also a great father to our little girl. Im so lucky to have him. Im glad we can strive each day to be closer to each other and our Savior.

4. I am so thankful for our daughter. She is such a blesing in our lives. She is the light of our life. She brings so much joy to our family.

5. I am thankful for wonderful families. We both have great parents/stepparents and siblings that make us who we are today. We love them so much.

6. I am so grateful for GREAT friends. We have so pretty great ones who love us unconditionally and are always there for us. What would we do without great friends.
7. I am grateful for so many things. Even the little things that happen everyday. We are so blessed and are so grateful for all we have to live with and enjoy.

Let us all be a little more grateful and see the good in our lives not the bad!!!!!!!

2 Week Mark!!!

So its been two weeks since surgery and things are going well. Lonnie foot is slowly healing, but not like it should the doc says. Its nothing serious it justs needs to dry out and scab over. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks it will. The bandages are off and he just has the strips to keep incision together till it heals. He doesnt need crutches anymore so he is up and hobbling around a little bit. Its so nice to see no huge bump on the side of his foot and to see his big toe straight finally. It sounds funny, but if you had seen it before you would be excited like me to!!

the yellow stuff is just iodine so its hard to see incision.

THE INCISION!!!

So we went today and got Lonnie's bandages changed. It was awesome to see what the incision looked like and to see no HUGE bump on the side of his foot. He is doing so well with the pain and healing that he is off his pain killers and just on motrin and tylenol. He is on my last nerve though because he is going stir crazy (onry) not being able to do anything and im trying to manage everything.
 Fun huh!!!

Lonnie's Surgery

Well the day finally came weather we wanted it to or not. We arrived at hospital at 6:30a.m. He went in at 8:00a.m. Everything went smoothly he was in for 2 hours. Here in Fillmore there is not many surgerys so several nurses got to sit in and observe the surgery. Lonnie had a packed house. He was glad he was knocked out and not watching everyone stare at him. Now on to the next 3 months of joy. I will have pictures of his incision next week when he gets new bandages. It should be cool looking. NOTE: Lonnie was so out of it that he could care less he was getting his picture taken. Now I may be in trouble for all these pictures of him on here, unless I keep him drugged. LOL

 So happy to be alive!!!

FYI: For those who dont know Lonnie had a bunion removed and his big toe realigned
