Swim time today...

While daddy was at work today, Ryan, Aiden and I went swimming at our friend Carole's house. Ryan had a blast!

When Aunt Gloria was here, she took some pics of me and Aiden. It seems like I am always in his face either kissing or playing with him. It was nice to get some of the moments captured.

A week's worth of catching up

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. Our household is having a blast!! We LOVE having Ryan here! He is SO good with Aiden and Aiden just loves him! I am not sure what we'll do when Ryan goes to TX. At least we have good times when he's in town.

Oh, by the way, Aiden has begun crawling. It's not perfected yet, but enough to where we'll have to put him in the 'crawler' nursery at church instead of the newborns.

Since Ryan was coming to stay for 5 weeks, I thought we could have the two boys share a room...especially since they go to bed and wake up near the same time (or so I thought).

I thought Ryan might like having his bed on the floor...make it 'cool' so to speak.

He has a peel and stick surf board on the wall. Totally cool.

Visiting daddy at work

Ryan, Aiden and I went to visit daddy at work yesterday. Ryan had a GREAT time!!!

Mike took Ryan on a tour of the building. This room is where the police have roll call and stuff.

Next stop was the place where prisoners get locked up temporarily. Right here is where the people get fingerprinted and a mug shot.

Mike took us to the helicopter hanger to see 'Eagle 1'. It just happened to be perfect timing -- as Eagle 1 was taking off. It was SO cool!

On the way to the hanger...Ryan told Mike, "You are the coolest dad anyone could ever have!!!" (He said it like 4 times)

Sgt. Kevin Duckworth (USPP pilot of 20 years) gave Ryan a private tour of the helicopter. Ryan loved it!

We have been having a blast with Ryan in town. He is so much fun to have around. As a treat, Mike and I decided to surprise him by giving him a mo hawk. He has wanted one forever and figure it will grow out in 4 weeks (by the time he goes home). He was SSSOOOO excited! I went and bought a razor set and did it myself.

Ryan was taking a nap after swimming and Mike and I were cracking up. Apparently Ryan and Aiden take after each other with the whole 'sleeping with their bottom in the air'. Love it!

Sunday afternoon hanging with the boys...

Today, we went to church and the sermon was great. We just love how this pastor preaches! We are right where God wants us. Ryan was a little shy at first, but really enjoyed his Sunday School. It is so cool. They have a HUGE kid ministry. The 4th and 5th graders are together. They have their own worship band--drums, guitar, lead singer, etc... and then break up into small groups. He had a great time.

We came home and were enjoying a little down time before Aiden went to sleep. Below are two ADORABLE pictures of the two boys and a hilarious video. I will say that Aiden plays differently with his brother than anyone else I've seen. It's like he knows Ryan is his big bro. SOO cute...you'll see....

Ryan's first full day here for the rest of the summer

So, Ryan arrived yesterday and will be staying through August 15th. I honestly think Aiden can tell Ryan is his brother. He just loves him! We've been having fun. We all went swimming at my friend Carole's house and Aiden giggled with Ryan.

Tomorrow we take Ryan to our new church with us for the first time. We know he will just love it. It will be nice having Mike home for a few days. He just completes the package! One funny thought. Last night, as Mike and I were going to bed, I said to him, "Honey, isn't it funny that in the other room we have kids, yet I feel like you and I still act like kids." He totally agreed. = )
